Workshop 1
Part A
In this week the activities have been organized for identifying the Capstone of MBA,
determining the essential Capstone skills and also developing the Strategic mindset. Nowadays
MBA Capstone can still be considered as the place where the students can synthesize knowledge
and could show their business relevance. The activities that are involved in this week to
determine the role of the business schools in the Global Financial Crisis (Syed, Diaw and
Kessentini 2015). The activities also involves the discussions regarding that whether the business
schools are to blame for GFC. These workshop also involves the activity of Knowing Doing
Being for determining the effective management and the reflective practice in the business for
the competitive advantages. This theoretical skills reflects and identifies the theories, models and
concepts that helped me to understand the importance of the business schools and GFC. The
applied skills enables us to understand the contribution of the business curriculum for
understanding the business’s overall performance. The practical skills can be considered as the
culmination of both the theoretical and the applied skills. This week session helps to understand
the concept of theoretical skills that is the theoretical skills help to experience that how the
course’s contents are not related to the practical applications. These skills also help us to apply
the knowledge and the analytical skills and how to consider my skills and apply them to GFC.
Part B
In this session I have learnt from my class experience to understand the beginning of
Capstone and could able to understand that the business schools were to blame for GFC as these

business schools were failed to address the various aspects of the changing world. I was able to
gain the concept of knowing doing being and the concept of the essential skills for the effective
management and the reflective practice for the competitive advantages.
This is recommended to change in future that is the introduction of the practical
examples. That is if the theories are applied in any business example could be shown then it will
be easier to understand the topic.
The reflective skills that I have gained from this week is that the knowledge whether I
will be able to become the business manager. The reflective skills also represent the ability of
integrating the new informations and culminating the decisions of modifying the existing beliefs
and assumptions.
Part C
This week session helped me to understand how to apply the theory of Knowing Doing
Being for progressing the team work. The team work can be easily improved by introducing the
strategies of collaboration among the team members.
This is recommended to introduce the reward system for the team production and by
introducing some involvement program among the team will improve the relations among the
team members. The team leader should have the capability of building up the trust bond among
the team members.
The theoretical message that I have gained from my class session is that the manager are
required to follow the effective leadership style that is autocratic leadership and management
style based on the trait theory for improving the team work.

Part A
In this workshop sessions the activities involves the understandings of the theoretical
skills and the importance of the adoption of various theoretical senses for understanding the
strategic problems. This workshop also involves activity regarding improving the team
performances and also establishing the competitive advantages (Wisansing 2015). This session
involved the activity of creating the list of all the theories and the knowledge that we have gained
so far and also making a table for organizing the thoughts and also needs to compare the list with
other in the class. The activities of knowledge applications involves the theories and the concepts
that students can recall and what each of the theories means and how they can be implemented.
The theoretical lenses involves the activity of watching the video clip that portrays both sides of
the debate and the unions versus the business lobby. Then each group will be allocated as the
business lobby for identifying three theoretical lenses for maintaining the penalty rates and
justifying their positions. The knowledge audit involves the discussions in the group regarding
the cognate learning areas in MBA.
Part B
This session helped me to learn the concept of the theoretical performances from my
class experiences and I was able to understand the concept of four theoretical pillars that helped
me to recall the knowledge, the ability to solve problems regarding adoption of the multiple
theoretical lenses. This session helped me to understand the importance of the multiple
theoretical lenses that helped me to gain the ability of better understanding the strategic problems
by adopting the variety of the theoretical lenses and knowing when to use them.

I also gained the ability of using both the qualitative and the quantitative analysis during the
problem solving process. I also acquired to integrate the soft skills and the hard skills for using
the theoretical skills.
I was also able to determine the assessing of the strategic problems by implementing the
theoretical perspectives that could block us from understanding the true cause of the problem.
This workshop helped me to understand the competitive strategies and the corporate capabilities
and determining the strengths of the CA courses and strategies. This understanding help me to
become the effective manager by understanding the strategic problems of the implementation of
the theoretical perspectives.
Part C
I was able to participate in the team work and I was able to understand the basic project
work by accumulating all the necessary data and informations from the various sources. I also
learnt how to solve the strategic problem in the team from my class experiences.
This is recommended that for impacting the theoretical knowledge in the team work,
there should be shown some practical experiences in the team work. Like any incident has taken
pace in the team work and how it will be solved in the team work.
For becoming the effective team leader as well as team manager the team leader are
required to determine the exact problem of the team members and how that can be resolved.

These workshop involves the activity of the competitive advantages through the growth
and innovations. The activity includes that each group are needed to imagine that they are
working in the real business, which is struggling in the revenue cash flow that means that the
money which does not exist for replicating the largesse of the top 50 employers. The activity also
includes the innovative strategies of HR, which attracts, retains and engaged employees without
spending a cent.
Part B
This session helped me to understand the cognate knowledge areas for growth and
innovations. I also gained the knowledge of how to bring innovations through team work and
developing the competitive advantages through HR and people (Tao, Chuang and Lin 2016). I
was able to determine the role of the people in innovations for finding the competitive
advantages and could be able to understand that from where the good ideas comes from. Though
I found that the practical examples of the innovations for bringing growth in the business’s
competitive advantages could be more useful for us to understand the concept.
Part C
I have been able to gain the theoretical concept of developing the creative ability for
considering how to grow that is by increasing profit, reducing risks and enjoying the economies
of scale. The applicable concept involves the external growth and the internal growth. I was able
to understand whether disruption is important. It will be more beneficial if the student will be
able to understand the values of the innovative concept more easily if the ample of amount of
data are provided regarding the competitive advantages.

This workshop 5 includes the activity like watching the videos and then discussing the
business models that could improve the decision making process. Then the students are required
to supports the video with the decisions and each student’s group needs to discuss regarding
making better decisions like the effective manager. In this workshop each group discusses about
the name of each model and in which context they are used.
Part B
This session helped me to find out that the models and tools and I was able to understand
the value of the marketing and the strategy tools regarding business modelling (Pradhan et al.
2016). I could use theses multiple times in the business and could understand the types of
workplace exists and the model type that could be implemented in the workplace.
Part C
This workshop helped me to understand the theoretical concepts regarding the types of
model which are essential to be implemented in which type of business. The applicable concepts
helps to understand the useful techniques of using models like becoming consistent, using more
than one model, examining the divergence in advice.

This workshop session involves the activity like the identification of the areas like the

This workshop has helped me to find out the theoretical concepts of Employability
regarding the transferrable skills, which helped me to find out the transferable core proficiencies
which represents the essential functions.
This workshop also helped me to find out the employability factors and this week has
also involved the basic employment scale, which helped me to find out the future scope of the
business. Therefore becoming the team member and the team leader, it is quiet important to find
out the basic employment scale and the future scope of the project as then only the team will
perform accordingly for gaining desired performances.

Part A
This workshop involved the activity of the importance of the changes in strategy like
each group are needed to be involved in the discussions of the leadership communication and the

style for the changes and how to succeed in changes.
Part B
The workshop helped me to find out the basic concept of the business alterations and the
requirements of the alterations. I am to understand the changes in the strategy and their
importance. I am able to gain the knowledge regarding how to manage the changes and why the
business fails. The most important knowledge I have gained that is how to overcome when the
disinterest usually becomes resistance and also how to succeed in business by bringing changes.
Part C
This workshop helped me to find out the changes for bringing personalizing the message
and I gain the knowledge regarding who should send it and how to use both the people and the
process for making changes in the business process.
I felt that the workshop provided ample amount of the theoretical ideas regarding
bringing innovative changes in the business market but the practical applications of the changes
and the data regarding the practical applications are required for better understandings. I also
gained theoretical concepts regarding the organizational crisis that could occur in the business
market due to business alterations. By applying all these theories in my team work I will be able
to follow the effective team work as well as team management.

This workshop session involves the activity like if our group are comprises of the senior
managers for the cable television network. We are required to decide whether our group are
involved in marketing finance, customer services, IT or different departments in the cable
network. We are also required to present most of the team’s latest data for the network’s
upcoming conferences (Hadgraft, Neuhaus and Healy 2018). The activity includes us as the
audience and we are required to develop the reports. Each group are required to any three tables
present on the earlier slide and are also required to identify the target audience for each of the
report. The groups are also required to find out the requirements and the priorities of the
audiences and how the problems can be improved so that they could engage more targeted
audience.
Part B
This workshop helped me to find out how the times are changing in reporting, and I am
able to know regarding the right choice of the audiences and why we are reporting. I was also
able to gain knowledge regarding the data analytics and the business intelligence, I could also
implement the reporting process by implementing the business intelligence and the analytics. I
was able to develop the modern reporting style for my group. The practical skills that I was able
to adopt from this workshop is that how to develop the report in the different style for the group.
I was able to create the info graphic designs and I was able to try new info graphic designs. I was
also able to create the advance data visualization in our group.

intelligence and the data analytics. In the team work I decided to follow the role of autocratic
leadership style for maintaining the team work and the team’s production. Therefore the
autocratic leadership style will enhance the team’s productivity and the team’s performance.

Part A
The workshop includes the activity that is I required to imagine as if I am working for the
national chains of the retail stores. The group are required to generate the list of metrics that
could enforce throughout the organizations (Cabrerizo et al. 2015). The group are required to
determine the governing objective, the causes that the drivers are affected of that objectives and
how would we evaluate our metrics and the statistics.
Part B
This workshop helped me to understand the knowledge of gaining productivity and
regarding the efficiency versus the effectiveness. I implemented the concept of increasing
productivity in our group and I was able to identify the causes and the effective relationships, the
key performances indicators.
I was able to gain the theoretical concepts regarding how to improve the performances
based on the important performance indicators. I have practically implemented the personal
productivity and the discussions regarding the importance of the business reporting and making
the visual observations which targets audiences.

I was able to implement employability and the employment trends in my group and by
implementing such employment trends in the group, the team work will increase. This will able
to increase the effective communication among the team members and this will also enhance the

Workshop 11
Part A
This workshop mainly includes the activity regarding the seven workplace trends that is
in the group we need to implement the workplace trends of that is each group would be allocated
one of the trends. This means that we have to read the sections of the report and are required to
use the smartphones for learning more about the trends for presenting the findings of the rest of
the class.
Part B
I was able to acquire knowledge of the seven work place trends and the future work
strategies. I have also gained knowledge regarding understanding the disruptions that is what are
the root causes of the disruptions (Kung and Schmid 2015). I was also able to know the reasons
why it is require to underestimate the responds to disruptions.
Part C
The theoretical concepts regarding the soft skills helped us to understand and the
executive perceptions of the soft skills help us to understand about the employability. The
practical skills that I have gained from using the concept of employability in our groups.

I have founded that the class session was lacking the exact knowledge regarding the way
to solve some issues that may arise in the project work. Therefore this is recommended to use
some project examples regarding the team work.
For becoming the effective team member and the effective team leader it is required to
maintain the team collaborations. From the data accuracy to the project design every team work
required the collaboration and the effective communication in the team work.
