Tourism works as an agent that shows culture of a country. This approach consists of four significant factors: - 1.A origin source 2.A travel route 3.A terminus region 4.Environment-it comprises of three regions The earthly tourism system is important for knowing the flow of tourism from one country to another or one city to another city, one more interesting feature of earthly tourism system model shows that at every stage of system the customer will get to know the different factors of tourism industry (Richards. 2018). This shows that the experience of the tourists will not only change in regions but also inside the region as different service experience happens. This also provide lights on priority of understanding the advance tourism affair of a customer, when in need of any interpretation or to predict future resolution, fondness and actions (Wang, 2021).This happens because of the old travel experience by consumer when linked with some latest information origin that helps the consumer to decide the next travelling site. POSITIVE AND NEGATIVE ECONOMIC IMPACTS OF TOURISM. Tourism is known as an industry and it involves the movement of one man from one place to another. The need of economy of this industry could be determined by the people involved in it and income generated from it (Viglia and Dolnicar, 2020). There are large number of people are involved in this sector, it involves many sectors like: - boating, trekking, transportation, food, cleansing, restroom, guiding etc. The customer pays for all these services, this sector has both positive and negative effect on economy let's talk about them one by one: - Negative economic impact of tourism: -There are many negative impacts of tourism on economy of less developed or developing economy, some of these impacts are as follow: Cost of items: -There are many costs of items in tourism industry which can't be seen or is hidden. Which have a disadvantageous effect on economy on the tourist place countries (Var and Gunn, 2020). Mainly the developed countries are better profited than less developed, developing or poor countries. Other negative impact is:Foods or drinks or any kind of consumable product have to imported by another country or host country which are developing or have less economy this happens because local products are of low quality, thus profit goes in the pocket of developed countries from where they are imported (Wardani, 2020). Mostly in all national or international package tour the half of expenditure goes in the pocket of airlines, buses, cabs and hotels and many international companies and this creates a huge negative impact on local businesses or workers. Positive economic impact of tourism: -There are a lot of positive impact on economy of local area of tourism destination country(Graham,2019). Mostly in the developing or less developed countries (Stors and et.al., 2019).
Increase flow of foreign currency:Attracting the tourists from foreign country to our country increases the flow of foreign currency in our country which directly affects the foreign exchange market and is a very nice sign of having great global trading volume(Lapointe,2018). Improve economic condition:Tourism helps in encouraging government over increasing the budget of tourism or looking upon on the tourism and because of this government invests more on infrastructure which provides better facilities for locals as well as tourists. ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT OF TOURISM Management of environmental concerns is vital in tourism industry because it comprises of bothnaturaldiversityandhumanbeings.Somecrucialpositiveimpactsoftourismon environmentare as follow: - Raise in awareness: -Thisis the foremost and most important positive impact of tourism, many tourist destinations encourage nature tourism and this helps in educating people about the natural aspects of tourism. Some destinations such as The Eden Project (Cornwall), Loch Leven (Kinross), The Royal Botanic Garden (London) have great nature tourism initiative that encourages environmental friendly activities. Constructed environment: -In many ways it is simpler to anchor on the constructive environmental impact. When tourist came to a built tourism or self-built area they have to pay extra or some money for that place maintenance or for the repair of that old heritage. Negative environmental impact of tourism Excess number of visitors: -This happens when huge number of visitor more than the capability of environment to cope (Cooper, 2020).Uncontrolled tourism cause harm to natural resources, this can also put heavy pressure on particular land area which leads to soil erosion, pollution (noise, air, water), this may force the local pollution dealing from lack of resources which mostly happens in high snow and altitude area. Leads to over-use of water: -Tourism can lead to use more water than regular use as when the tourists season arrives the tourists went to the tourist’s destination and the wastage done by them led to use more water than usual which may also create scarcity in particular area (Zhang and et.al., 2020). POSITIVE AND NEGATIVE SOCIO-CULTURAL IMPACTS OF TOURISM Sociology is the study of group of people, their attributes, attitudes and behaviour (Devi, 2021). Social impacts of tourism mean the problem that the people living in tourist destination
are having and cultural impacts means culture, art, rituals of the peoples and commonly socio- cultural means change in resident's experiences every day and also their values, rituals, way of living (Illogicaland McIntosh, 2020). Negative socio-cultural impacts of tourism:- Matter of respect:-Objectification in this the sacred places or objects may not get the respect as they are seen as the goods. Tourist can revolve regional arts into products when holy act, old cultural liturgy's are reduced and cleaned to observe to tourist belief resulting in reconstructed ethnicity. Culturalclashes:-Tourisminvolvespeoplescomingfromdifferentgeographical locations of different belief system, different religion this may create a cultural clash among them (Bakas,2018). This may increase the anti-tourism affect among the local people living in the tourist destination. Irritation resulting due to behaviour of certain tourists: - There are events in which tourist unknowingly or due to negligence hurt the sentiments or feelings of people living in local tourist destination. They used to create disturbance in the region and throw waste or rubbish on road which often raise pollution level in the region (Eteiwy,K.2020). Positive socio-cultural impacts of tourism: - Conserving communal culture:- The Tourists visit a place to see the local culture, many terminuses will make a proper effort to safeguard the local culture. This also contributes to the protection of natural resources and the protection of domestic legacy. Provision of social service: - Tourism industry requires many facilities to meet the wants and needs of tourists. This often shows the development in the area. Local people get good road facility, proper medical facility, new bus stops, new sewage system, new playground etc. CONCLUSION The tourism industry in UK is well-developed and have a great infrastructure and is the 10thbiggest tourism country in the world. This is important for all the citizen of the country to take care of their tourist destination and it gives a good flow of foreign currency in the country which consequently increases the earning of country(Amoamo,2018). this plays a significant role in promoting domestic, local or national cultures. Tourism industry has a major contribution in GDP of a country. Tourism has also contributed to rural development also. Everything has a good and bad side and therefore tourism has too. Tourists coming from different regions pollute the tourist destination they also irritate civilians not directly but indirectly because of some of their activities. They seek the holy monuments and objects as a good they don't respect them. THUS, tourism is great and wonderful but sometimes irritating too.
