Tourism is the vital in order to have success in the various economies of the world. By
having the good tourism in the country it helps them to have better revenues and develops the
infrastructure of the country. The understanding of the world tourism includes the social.

gap between the foreigners and citizens in the market. The current assignment will outline the

this report will put focus on the positive and negative economic impact of tourism. This

socio-cultural impact on tourism. Moreover, this report will also put focus on the future impacts
of tourism in the market and the future impact of these causes on the tourism.

The study of the tourism is so important as this used to change on the constant basis. The
continuous changes in the tourism world used to have impact on the growth and development.
The contemporary tourism is the now most misunderstood topic in the global world. This is
something that is intended with the development of the countries (Streimikiene and et.al., 2021).
The economic development of the country helps the tourism sector to grow in the different
market. The tourism industry includes the production and consumption of the different things in
the market. The geographical tourism used to define the flow of tourists from one region to
another that helps them to have good explore of the market (León-Gómez and et.al., 2021). It is
very important to have the development of the contemporary tourism that helps the people to
have better facilities and infrastructure in the market.
The contemporary tourism is used to have good experiences that are produced between the
producer and consumers in the market. As the people used to travel in the different region and
region has its different culture that used to have impact on the culture of the tourism industry
(Bianchi, 2018). The contemporary tourism is the international approach that helps to have the
new approach in order to study the tourism. This used to consider the issues that are related to
the changing world, tourism ethics and the destination marketing. The world tourism is related to
social, cultural and economic aspects that used to have the movement of the people to go from

one country to another for personal or business purpose (Comerio and Strozzi, 2019). By having
the contemporary tourism, it helps them to have the growth in the market which used to have
proper and smooth flow of work in the market. tourism are the activities that is related to the
people who used to travel and stay outside the country or state and have different environment
for some days (Kayumovich, 2020). It helps to have the improvement in the tourism by having
the new and innovative technology in the market.
Evaluating negative and positive economic impacts of tourism
The positive and negative economic impact of tourism is as described below:
Positive impact1. New facilities: By having the development in the tourism sector it helps the economy to
have the new facilities in the market (Figini and Patuelli, 2022). There is availability of
the everything in the market that helps the local residents to have the increase in the
standard of living of the people. This use to attract the tourists which helps the country to
become the best tourists place.
2. Improves unemployment: By having the improvement in the tourism sector it helps the
people to have the jobs. As the tourism industry is very vast which provides the jobs to
the people who are unemployed (Tamene and Wondira, 2019). By this there will be
improvement in the economy and helps the country to grow by having good tourism.
Negative impact:1. Overcrowding: By having the worldwide tourism it used to have impact on the growth of
tourism. As many tourists used to visit the different countries that used to have
overcrowding and traffic jams in the country (Tamene and Wondira, 2019). This used to
affect the economy and decreases the growth of country.
2. Increase in over- dependency: This is another negative impact of tourism as there is
continues changes in the market (Ren and et.al., 2019). the changes in the taste and
preferences and external pressures from the tourist side used to affect the economy and
employment of the people.
Evaluating negative and positive environmental impacts of tourism
The positive and negative environmental impact of tourism is as described below:
Positive impacts:

1. Increases awareness: By having the vast tourism it helps the people to know about the
changes in the environment. This makes the people more aware about the new places and
destinations to visit (Zhuang and et.al., 2021). By having this it helps the tourism sector to
have growth and lead in the global market. as people used to visit the different places so the
environment of the country must be good that attracts the people.
2. Enhancement of natural areas: Sound tourism always results in increase in natural areas
where the industries within the country also remain motivated to use all the cleaner
techniques of production (Lew and et.al., 2020). Moreover, such techniques reduces the
negative environmental impacts and also attracts more number of people.
Negative Impacts
1. Construction of infrastructure: As the number of tourist increases in the country there are
greater chances than there would be more construction of buildings and other
entertainment areas (Nepal, 2020). Thus, it will lead to more of deforestation and adverse
impact on the environment in the long run.
2. More pollution: If the number of tourist activities increases within the country than it is
natural that it would lead to more of water and the air pollution as number of vehicles
would be increased in large number thus damaging the environment and conduct of
various activities within the country (The positive and negative effects of tourism on the
social-cultural environment of a country, 2022).
Thus, environment is major concern that helps in the development of any economy and it is very
important that tourist activities within the country are conducted in right and proper manner so
that sustainability in the long run might be ensured
Evaluating negative and positive socio-cultural impacts of tourism
In context of the socio cultural aspect it can be said that tourism could have both positive
and negative impact based on various ideas. Some positive impacts are been described as
follows”
Helps in getting acquainted with different people: It is known that tourism activities
within the country allows people to experience different cultural people and also allows knowing
more about them (Pencarelli, 2020.) Furthermore, people with different nationalities are good at
discussing cultural aspects that further help local communities to gain new insights about how
things are carried in different regions.

Competent of education : Also, it can be said that it is important competent of education
that help people educate free of cost and improve their standards of living. Furthermore, cultural
exchange helps in developing the mutual sympathy and understanding about each other that
would be useful for all the future for decreasing the tension among the two communities.
Negative impacts:
Increase in illegal activities: it can be said that with tourism there could increase in
number of crime and other illegal activities within the country that is not good for the local
communities group (Vărzaru, Bocean and Cazacu, 2021). Also, such activities would also
encourage other people to do so that is not good for the country development in long run. Also,
with rise in crime activities the country would not be safe place to visit for future travellers and
own people that are residing in the country
Erosion of local language : Different cultural groups use various languages that are
different from local communities (Zhong and et.al., 2021). Also, such kind of mixture within the
languages in not good as it only deteriorates the cultural values and norms among the people on
large scale. Moreover, protection of the local language is good for the development of the
country in the best manner.
CONCLUSION
From the above report it is concluded about the importance of development of the
contemporary tourism which helps the tourism industry to grow in the market. This report has
also described about the different positive and negative economic aspects related to the tourism.
By having the negative impact, it used to have great impact on the economy and decreased the
GDP. Further the above report has evaluated about the positive and negative environmental
impacts of tourism that shows the environment used to have great impact on tourism industry. At
last this report has discussed the different socio- cultural impact of tourism by stating both
negative and positive aspects. As it is very important for the tourism industry to have the proper
management that helps them to grow in the competitive market. By knowing about the different
factors supports the tourism industry to have better growth in the market.
