Legislation in emergency services
The major legislation in emergency services are Police and crime act 2017, Fire
and Service rescue act 2004, Health act 2006. In all these acts, the major
responsibility of police, fire, NHS and Military is to provide the emergency
facilities to causalities and their families. Besides this, they are responsible for
rescuing the people and ensuring their welfare.
Responsibilities in responding to incidents
The major entities who are responsible for responding to various emergency
incidents are police, fire authorities and ambulance in JESIP. They are mainly
responsible for proving emergency treatment to the victims and protecting the
other people from any damage. Besides this, they are also responsible for is to
provide the proper healthcare facilities and treatment to casualties as soon as
possible.Role of public service agencies
There are various public service agencies which are involved in responding to the various emergency
incidents are police, ambulance, fire authority etc. The major role of these public service agencies is to save
the life of causalities as well as other people present at the time if incident. Along with this, they are also
responsible for providing the various services to victims and their families for their immediate treatment.
Planning steps
The major planning steps which are given importance while responding to a particular incident are
planning, identification, investigation, recovery and follow-up. The importance of these stages is that
through these, various public agencies are able to create a contingency plan for mitigating the risk of
incidents. These also help them to have a deep analysis of a specific incident.
