Dear Mother,
As you can observe, the beautiful city Calgary of Alberta has been growing and developing in
every sphere, be it technology, sustainability and economy. The city Calgary has been a
melting point of multiculturalism, therefore, I need your attention regarding what we, as
citizens, can perform to improve the city more (Rutty et al., 2013).
However, as a responsible citizen i have taken deep interest to provide a helping hand
to the Mayor of the city (Neshi) who has kept a challenge among the fellow citizens that
boasts of providing three supportive activities for the sake of improvement and betterment of
the city.
As a respectful and responsible citizen of Calgary, I had the desire to help the city in
improving even in a better way. The first and foremost activity where i have participated is
the picking of garbage while i went for my morning and evening walk after work. The plastic
garbages are toxic, therefore, if every citizen takes the oath of picking up garbage, the city
can reduce its pollution up to a certain extent. The second activity where i have enrolled is
school traffic safety measures. As a civic volunteer, i have organized a five day program of
school traffic safety with other friends where we have successfully managed the heavy crowd
during the school time, thereby, saving time and resources. The third activity where i enrolled
myself is cleaning my neighbourhood. I successfully managed to clean the locality where i
am staying in order to reduce pollution.
