are provided to patients within the community services to meet their needs. The purpose of
these services is to provide better solution for their problems and improve their routine lifestyle.
People who are suffering from different medical issues use the nursing services that are provided
by health care organization and social care homes. This report is also providing information of
the services that are provided by nursing homes to patients and healthcare organization to those
people who are facing diseases like cerebrovascular accident that is also known as stroke in
general term. Most of the people who are facing this physical problem are above age of 50 to 60
and in small age this disease is very rare. This study is providing brief of problems faced by
patient in daily life and how healthcare organization and social homes provide nursing services
to them. This is also explained that what are impact of cerebrovascular accident in individual
patient, their family, health promotion, cultural safety and empowerment.
MAIN BODY
(CVA) Cerebrovascular accident is medical term for the stroke, stroke is when blood
flow to the part of human brains is stopped either by rupture or blockage of blood vessel. There
are significant signs or symptoms of stroke that person should be aware of and focused out for
(Rashid and et.al., 2016). Due to some causes continuous blood flow stopped which effect on
human life, some causes like sudden death of brain cells due to lack of oxygen when blood flow
in human body to brain is impaired by rupture or blockage of the artery to brain. Difficulty in
walking, loss of coordination and balance, difficulty of understanding or speaking to others and
sudden headache, especially when accompanied by dizziness, nausea and vomiting, all above
symptoms indicate to stroke. Stroke is the main causes of cerebrovascular accident, it occurs
when part of human brain stops working and loses their blood supply perfectly which create
issues and directly impact on person wellbeing and healthy life cycle.
Due to CVA disease, a person is not able to walk for long distance, they will not be able
to run in speed because of blockage. Stroke is caused by the blood clot that plugs or blocks blood
vessel in brain (Levin and et.al., 2016). Patients face several problems along with this disease,
they feel weakness of arm, leg and face especially on one side of body, issue while speaking to
other ones, unable to understand speech by nurse in hospital. High blood pressure, high level of
diabetes, smoking, age and heat disease is the certain factors can raise risk of stroke. There are

also others elements that is connect to higher risk of stroke or stop blood flow which causes
stroke, such as not getting enough physical activity, illegal and alcohol drug use, unhealthy diet
and having obesity. Community nurses play essential role in context of providing better services
or health care treatments to patients suffers from Cerebrovascular accident. In simple words,
CVA refers to group of situations that influence blood flow to brain, symptoms of
cerebrovascular attack involve difficulty communicating and weakness. Stroke is secondary of
the evolving blood clot connected with atherosclerosis blockage in cerebral artery obstructing
blood flow or intracerebral haemorrhage or result from subarachnoid into brain tissue (Nadkarni
and et.al., 2015). Due to blood clot in brain, patient cannot be able to walk normally without
taking help by the other person in their family or neighbours. One side of body part will not been
able work or perform normally, face, eyes and other part of human body will stop moving after
happen Cerebrovascular accident. Patients loss their half or full body strength for doing some
daily basic things, some times they do not speak normally and only give reactions through
blinking their eyes (Cerebrovascular Accident. 2018).
Impact on Individual Person
The impact of stroke on individual life of a person is sever and it can be classified in
physical and mental. This is a major medical condition and it affects person in both physically
and mentally. In physical manner, it reduces the efficiency of body and make the actions and
operation of persona limited. There several physical issues faced by person in daily life which
are- problem in eating and swallowing.. As the patient face stroke due to lack of blood flow, it
reduce the capability of swallowing muscles and as a result, person faces difficulty in swallow
food and also get choke some times because of weak muscles Wiseman, Ralston & Wardlaw,
(2016). Some times their own saliva cause them choking, due to weak blood flow of their
muscles, which are not efficient to perform certain actions like chewing food,
This patient also face problem in dressing and reason behind this is physical weakness.
They also face problem in put cloths in order and their arrangement due to weak mind
functioning. They need guidance and help to get dressed. Other issues faced by person are in
toileting, driving and long walking. They find difficulty in toileting because their control on
muscle is so weak so they face issues like peeing in cloths. This is how stroke make life of
individual difficult. In old age the impact of stroke is also major for mental stability and
concentration power. Because the brain vessels are facing poor blood supply it reduces their

ability to learn new things, recognising people and places, forgot different things and frequent
mood swings.
Impact of Stroke on Family of Patients
Stroke may lead to behavioural changes in a person. Behaviour of patients leave the
family members in state of confusion cause the people who are in initial stage of recovering
condition have insincerity in mood and behaviour Saito, & Ihara, (2016). This thing leads to
frustration in family members. Because these patient find difficulty to recognise their family
members and it is difficult for their family members to deal with such type of problem. Family
members always need to be engaged with patient. So, they are not able to meet requirement of
personal and professional life. This is how Cerebrovascular accident affect the family members
of patient in negative way.
Health Promotion
The health care promotions are mainly focused on the causes of the disease and way to
prevent the condition of stroke. The health promotions are consists of methods that are used by
the health care organizations to provide the general information that can be used to stay healthy.
Main goal of health promotion is to provide special guidance to the people to avoid the activities
and habits that lead the person to problems related to cerebrovascular accident vatious measures
of health promotionj are taking healthy diet, avoid alcohol and smoking, regular health check up
maintain blood pressure regular exercise and control diabetes.. This can help a person to avoid
stroke.
Cultural safety
Cultural safety in the health care system is basically known as practice to make the
people to change their social and personal lifestyle to prevent the conditions of health issues. The
cultural lifestyle adopted by people is usually not considered as healthy life style. In the remote
areas people are not aware of personal health care Wallin, Nordlund, & Bjerke, (2017). The
tradition and culture lead the people to unhealthy lifestyle and the purpose of promoting health
safety is to make people shift to healthy eating and living habits.
Empowerment

them back to normal life. In this process they are provided with counselling services and
personal care to provide stability in daily routine.
Services Provided to Patient by Healthcare Organization-
As a nurse we can provide various services to provide support to patient. Community
services are consists of different facilities that are of wide range from cradle to grave. Purpose of
these services to improve the living standard of people. These services are covering various
range of methods to provide help to people who are facing physical and mental illness and are
recovering from this problems Lau, Huisa & Fisher, (2017). There are different services we can
provide in the healthcare and social care organization to patients of cerebrovascular accident and
other patients who are facing trouble in recovery process. There are different standards are
followed by health care organization and community health care services to provide better
satisfaction to the patients. In recovery process role of nurse is most important because they are
responsible for health and recovery of person. Health and personal services provided by the
healthcare organization are not of same type for all people. For each patient this protocol varies.
Services to be provided are decided by performing the case analysis. The situation of patient is
considered to evaluate what kind of service a person need.
In community health care services different type of care is provided to patient that are
known as palliative care. Palliative care of a person includes medical care of patient, providing
emotional support, psychological and cultural support with spirituality. This is how the palliative
care works. In these services the person who is provided with the palliative services are tracked
by health care officials to make proper decisions about their routine life style to cure them from
disease and help them to survive.
In community health care services for each patient a staff member is allocated. For the
care of individual patient, a particular staff member is responsible. They will provide assistance
to patient to help them to complete their routine work. First type of service is related to medical
support and in this type of care all the medication, physical measurement and medical check-ups
are performed to evaluate that they are recovering from the stroke or not van Sloten &
Stehouwer, (2016). For medical care organization used different tools and devices like CT scan
and sonography to track blood vessels condition of patient. This is also consists of regular check-
up and health consultations.

Other type of services provided in community health care services are mental and
emotional care of patient. People who are recovering from cerebrovascular accident lose their
hope of life and their willpower become low to live. This cause negative impact on their health
conditions. So in this case community healthcare services make the person go thorough different
practices that can motivate them and improve and encourage them to recover even more faster.
For this encouragement community services help the person to come out of depression condition.
To boost their morals and motivation level they are provided with opportunity to work with
different people around place and play different games that can keep active and healthy.
Motivation speeches and gaming together attach them to social life again. This practices
designed by the psychological experts to connect this people back again to society Tong, Trigiani
& Hamel, (2019). Cultural and psychological support is a way that is used by the community
health care services to build mind set of patient put their own efforts to minimise or overcome
the physical and mental challenges that they are facing. Other services that includes in healthcare
organization are preventive care and nutritional care. Preventive care provide by the organization
to the patient to ensure the complete cure of disease and prevent it from happening again. In this
care doctors and medical staff keep track on curing process of individual patient and ensure
improvement in condition. In the nutritional care patients are provided with proper nutritious diet
and medications to improve their health condition.
CONCLUSION
This report is concluding the importance of the community health care services to the
patient of Cerebrovascular accident. The impact of stroke has been analysed in the study to
evaluate the mental and physical condition of person. This also concluded that how stroke can
affect the lifestyle of a person. Influence of Cerebrovascular accident on family members, social,
culture, health promotion and encouragement has been analysed to know more about the
community health care services that are designed for patients. In the end of report various
services that are provided to the patient has been evaluated in report. Through this we have
learned different things which are essential for the health of individual patient. For the promotion
of health and awareness of cerebrovascular accident many important steps has been studied to
reduce complexity of recovery process.
