YouTube is an American online video sharing platform whose headquarter is in California. It
was founded in the year of 2005 by Chad Hurley. This presentation is going to show
effectiveness and importance of YouTube platform along with ways as how it encourages people
to do something new and increasing their skills.

What is YouTube
YouTube is an online platform which allows people to share their videos, watch videos
which are being posted by others as well as upload their own videos. There are several ways of
using this platform and it is one of the most used platforms because it allows people to learn
something new and whatever they want to learn. In the context of companies it can be said that
YouTube also allow them to promote their business, products and services by uploading videos
and making people aware about it. It is mainly driven by 2 people such as:
Video creators (People who have subscription on this platform and upload videos)
Video viewers (People who only watch videos uploaded by others by either subscribing their
channels of without subscribing)
There are several types which show in how many manner YouTube is being used such as:
YouTube Movies/shows: People can watch movies and shows on YouTube either free or small
buy.
YouTube Premium: It refers a subscription service in which people can enjoy music, videos,
gaming and others ad free.
YouTube Gaming: People can enjoy YouTube by playing game either live or on demand.
So, from the above discussed all ways to use YouTube it can be said that it plays an important
role and can allow people to enjoy their lives by making an effective use of this platform as per
their requirements.

YouTube is one of the effective and important video sharing platform and source of
learning new things, viewing videos uploaded by others, promoting products and others. In the
context of video it can be said that it is one of the popular content channel for marketers because

spend their lot of time in social media and YouTube is one of the most used platforms. In
educational context, it can be said that students find easier to get informations in a detailed

After viewing or watching videos, You Tubers can encourage online discussion by asking their
learners to add their personal insight or join them. By giving answers like what they really like
about their videos and all they can support You Tubers in getting likes and improving image as

Creating E-learning community: It is now one of the main reasons of people of using
YouTube. They can learn whatever they want to learn by just typing them. For example: If
people want to learn to make useful things by using waste materials, cooking recopies and others
then they can learn all these things on YouTube in a detailed manner. By using this platform as a
social learning platform, people can get opportunities to build strong E-learning community
where people are allowed to comment, share and discuss their views.
Encourage people to make their own videos: There are several You Tubers or those people
who upload videos on YouTube and have their own channel. They often ask to their learners and
viewers to join their channel and with them live and it can encourage learners to make them sure
that they can also make their own videos as it is one of the best sources of money. By uploading
videos and getting subscription and like on uploaded videos, people can earn money.
So, from the above discussed benefits it can be said that YouTube is an effective platform and

There are several trends related to YouTube which shows ways of using this in an effective
manner such as:
Product launching and influencers: It is one of the main key trends related to YouTube as
there are several companies who make videos of their products and services and upload them on
YouTube. The main aim of making videos of products and services and giving ads on YouTube
is to make people aware about features of products and services. By doing so, companies can
influence people and motivate them to buy their products and services as well. So, it can be said
that product influencers is one of the main trend.
Unique content creation: You Tube content is one of the main thing by which people become
influenced to open and view the videos uploaded by people. There is a huge competition on
YouTube but unique content is one of the key of the success of You Tubers and for people who
have their own channel and upload videos. For example: There are several channels related to
cooking and others. If people search recipe of foods than they got a list of recipes of that food but
the content is the thing which influences viewers to open and watch video. So, it can be said that
it makes people able to create their own unique content and attracting people. This trend plays a
vital role in increasing number of like and subscription on channels.
Ice bucket and other challenges: YouTube allows people to take an active participation in
challenges given by You Tubers and others. By accepting and participating in challenges they
can prove them, win prizes and can enjoy to the great extent. In the context of Ice Bucket
challenge it can be said that participants requires to dump a bucket of ice water over their head
and donate $10 or set amount to association or they can skip the water but can donate amount of
$100 approximate. They are given specific time to complete this challenge and by uploading
video of ice bucket challenge they can prove themselves. It is one of the main trend on YouTube
which is beneficial for viewers and others as well.

Ways to encourage people with YouTube
There are several ways by which people can be encouraged to use YouTube, view videos, learn
new things and others such as:
Engaging audience: By allowing people or viewers to take participation with You Tubers and
others, they can be encouraged. By listening their views on comments and engage them with
videos, they can be made feel valued and motivated which allow people to connect with
YouTube and its channels.
Choosing a good thumbnail: If You Tubers allow You Tube to choose thumbnails
automatically then it does not look interesting. By making an effective use of thumbnails at their
own and computer’s screenshot features in order to capture an image from videos, it can be made
interesting and emotionally compelling.
CONCLUSION
From the above presentation it has been summarized that YouTube, online video sharing
platform played a vital role as it allows people to learn several new things. It is also the best
platform of enjoyment, sharing videos and encouraging people to do something unique by
watching and sharing videos.
