The storyboard here has been used for the discussion of the situation where the
administrator is logging into the system and after logging into the system the administrator
would be able to view the products and employee data as well. The administrator would only
be able to view the data of the system after they have been logged in to the system.
Security concerns
Issues identification
The implementation of a ERP system would be very beneficial for the Balch
Construction Organization however with the implementation of the system the organization
would be facing a number of issues for regarding the security of the system. The major
security concerns that would be affecting the organization are discussed below:
Delayed Updates: The delayed updates would be very harmful for the ERP system and this
would prevent the risk mitigation and risk prevention techniques that would be helpful in the
detection of the crashes for the systems. This also makes the business of the organization
vulnerable to the outsiders to a great extent. The hackers would be able to find out ways that
would be able to get access to the system even if the latest security measures are applied
however installation of the latest updates would be preventing them from doing so.
Full Access Rights: The full rights to the activities of the Blach construction organization
would be a huge threat their business and this threat is directed towards the organization from
the external sources and the this also doesn’t mean that the potential risks from the in-house
sources can be ignored. Hence the full rights coming as an default would be hampering the
organization to a great extent and the hence this process is to be rectified by the organization
with an immediate effect failing to do so increase the risk of information leakage for the
organization. It is very important that all the employees do not have the same level of
accessibility to the system which wold hamper the internal reputation of the organization.

SYSTEM DEVELOPMENT
Inadequate Training: Inadequate training facilities provided to the staffs within the
organization would hamper the overall efficiency of the organization to a great extent and
also this would affect the overall procedures of the organizations to a great extent. Hence in
order to maintain the efficiency and the adaptability of the organization to a great extent.
There would a lot of mistakes that would be hampering the productivity of the organization
as well.
Use of unauthorized system: The main problem occurs when there are multiple software
programs that are used for the integration of the system related to the ERP system. This
would cause various events within the organization to wait and get delayed due to the other
procedures.
Automatic Trust: With the increase in popularity of the cloud ERP systems for the
organization, the issue of storing the data with the third party vendor arises where the data of
the organization is entrusted to any other vendor and the organization might face a threat of
total leakage of fata.
Issue Mitigation
For the mitigation of the issues that are related to the deployment of the ERP systems
it is recommended that if the organization feels that the system is lagging very often they
should try using an automatic update. In addition to this, it is important the organization
maintain an audit log for the system and proper training is arranged for the staffs in the
system and for new hires as well. The organization should also look into the data regulation
policies that would be helping them in clearing the terms with vendor.
Solution Deployment
The ERP implementation steps is divided into six steps. The phases include:

Planning: These phase includes the role same as the traditional methodology. The role of the
vendor is to consultant taking a bigger role in construction of plan. This is the responsibility
of vendor project manager to plan the vendor consultant from the time of project phase’s
execution.
Setup and configuration: In these phase the difference between the two methodologies can
be analyzed. This phase constitute of analyzing the reviews of the current processes from the
vendor consultant.
Prototype review: This phase includes delivering the customer implementation team for the
Blach construction. The Blach construction starts educating the customer team through
prototype demonstration workshops. With the help of these system, the new team gets
educated based on new system and based on the capabilities of the product used. With the
end of this phase the customer team accepts the design of new system.
Conference room pilot: This phase includes leading the customer team by the vendor team
with the help of several phases of conference room pilot. Once the CRP gets completed the
customer team accepts the new system is ready to go live. Blach construction after
implementing the CRP will be able to work with the new system.
Cutover activities: With the implementation of tea support ends the user in the use of new
system. The implementation team is used to provide real time support to the vendors. With
the implementation of these in the system of the Blach construction it will get more supports
from vendors.
