INTRODUCTION
The greatest industrial disputes are the 1989 Australian pilots’ disputes. They
were facilitated by the Federation of Australian air pilots commonly known as (AFAP).
This aimed at a salary increment. It was a dispute which never settled formally by pilots
demands of working ‘’9-5’’ which had an impact on people on 18 August 1989 with the
cancellation of the pilots’ honor and acknowledgment of their association. The primary
dispute arose when all the pilots forced their employers faced their employers with a
limitation of the time they were supposed to be working for in a day. In their argument,
the pilot said that if they were to receive a similar treatments with other workers, their
treatment had to be uniform and similar too. At first, this seemed as if they were making
themselves accessible for the flying obligation just inside the regular working hours. This
dispute did not please the Australian airlines and also had a notable effect on businesses
and the tourism industries (Hunt, & Provis, 1995). A few days later, Labor Prime
