The report begins by identifying the core issue the campaign aims to tackle: reducing atmospheric carbon levels to 350 parts per million. It then outlines the campaign's goals and objectives, which include raising awareness about climate change, advocating for renewable energy sources, and promoting the reduction of fossil fuel usage. The report highlights how 350.org uses various campaigns, online sensitization, and international collaborations to achieve its objectives. It also discusses the organization's strategies, such as educating the public on the negative impacts of fossil fuels and encouraging a shift towards renewable energy. The report references key literature and concludes by emphasizing the campaign's global reach and its determination to create a better environment by promoting sustainable practices. Policy environment
Profound analysis of a policy is efficient for effective strategy. Therefore, policy analysis
should encompass environment of the policy and the policy system. Policy systems are generally
complex and vary depending on the type of systems. 350 is an organization which talks about
climate crisis all over the world. Climatic conditions worldwide have generally changed and the
organization communicates to people. As time goes by the weather conditions continue to
worsen. Most of the times, 350 organization spreads climate change awareness by online
campaigns. Through international sensitization the organization helps in achieving a
considerable environment fit for survival.
First the name 350 speaks a thousand words. According to studies the world currently
contains a high amount of carbon dioxide which is unsafe for humans. When the carbon dioxide
levels exceed 350 it is termed to be unsafe for human beings (Kvon, Lushchik, and Yakupova,
2017, p.835). Hence, this organization aims at ensuring the carbon dioxide levels do not exceed
350. Different movements by the organization are focused on reducing the carbon levels.
The core objective of the organization is to reduce the carbon levels in the atmosphere by
sensitizing people on climatic issues. Also, they work to minimize crisis caused by climate
change. Basically, 350 encourage a paradigm shift to using renewable energy. Renewable forms
of energy are friendly to the environment (Zeng, Duan, and Zhang, 2016, p.1369). Therefore, the
organization raises awareness and benefits on the importance of renewable sources of energy.
Moreover, the organization propels in halting the use of fossil fuels. It is clear that fossil
fuel has a high composition of carbon which produces carbon dioxide when burned. Fossil fuels
do not only increase the carbon dioxide levels but also increases global temperatures. Thus, 350

organization educates people on the negative effects of fossils fuels to the environment as
encoded by Jepson, and Schepers (2016, p.4). Also people are informed of how climate will
drastically change when there is abolition of fossil fuels.
The organization began from scratch by graduates. Due to vast awareness of social media
across the world the graduates communicated their ideas to the world. According to Anheier
(2017), campaigns by the organization raised awareness and attracted partners who had the same
objective (p.3). Lastly, the organization links activists globally and help in organizing campaigns
that raise awareness on climate change.
To sum up, 350 is a global organization which is determined to reduce the carbon levels
in the atmosphere. The current carbon levels in the atmosphere are unsafe for the environment.
The organization has campaigns which steer the world to achieve better environment by
advocating for use of renewable sources of energy while abandoning fossil fuels. Although the
organization started from scratch it has grown and initiated various campaigns worldwide.
