INTRODUCTION
5G is a 5th generation high speed mobile network which is designed in order to connect
the people and industries virtually all over the world. In present era, technological improvement
is necessary for improving the efficiency and the speed of the individuals and businesses. The
report will state the historical background of the technology to understand its importance, needs
and uses. The report will also discuss whether the 5G technology is effective or not. The report
will state the relation between the digital technology and the structure, policies and the practices
of the organization. At last the report will also state, how helpful the 5G technology to the
business to improve and expand their businesses all over the world.

Importance of 5G technology
Nowadays, digital technology is becoming significant day by day because it plays major
role in developing the economy of the country. It is important for providing and improving the
safety and security of the individual's as-well-as the organizations at the global level. 5G is the
wireless network which support the millions of devices at the high speed. Because of the
introduction of 5G the work of the individuals and the industries are happening at ultrafast speed.
It also important for connecting the millions of people at one platform in order to complete the
tasks and activities (Gavrilovska, Rakovic, and Denkovski, 2018). For example, due to COVID-
19 all works are conducted virtually such as businesses meetings and activities, educational
classes etc. and it is happened smoothly only because of the new generation of cell phone
network. In Forth Industrial Revolution, 5G technology not only help the businesses but it also
helps the consumers in solving their problems such as online shopping, online payments etc.
Historical background of 5G technology
Digital technology was first invented in the 19th century and continues to the present
days. The public was first come into the knowledge of the internet concept in the year 1969 when
the first message was sent on the ARPANET. After that technology is improved day by day and
new version of network is get introduced. 5G is the new global wireless network after the
introduction of 1G, 2G, 3G and 4G systems (Husain, and et.al 2021). 1G is a global mobile
phone system which was introduced in the year 1987 by telecom and offers 2.4Kbps speed. 2G is
a system was introduced in the year 1991 by Radiolinja and offers 50Kbps speed. 3G is a system
which was commercially introduced in the year 2001 and offers at least 200Kbps speed. 4G is

the system which was introduced in the year 2010 and offers the speed of 100mbps. The
introduction of new generation mobile phone module is happened in every 10 years.
5G technology and its uses
5G is a fifth generation mobile phone network which is currently under development and
which promises to offer the maximum speed of 36.46Gbps which is 35 times faster the 4G
system along with other facilities. The benefits it includes are faster data rates, higher connection
density, lower latency etc. 5G network is generally useful in three main type of connected
services such as mobile broadband, critical communication and massive loT. It is useful for
businesses in processing and analysing the more data's as compare to earlier (Holma, H Toskala
and Nakamura, 2020). 5G also helps in eliminating the barrier to loT expansions with their
promise to provide low latency and high connection density. It also useful in watching the high
streaming videos without any system failure and blockage. It is useful in enhancing the network,
manufacturing, media, healthcare, mining, smart city etc.
5G technology platform and software
Technological platform and software for 5G is cloud computing to deliver the computing
services over the internet. It is platform available for the implementation of 5G technology and it
delivers the services of storage, database, networking, software etc. over the cloud. As it offers
pay per use service it is beneficial for the organizations to implement this technology on cloud
computing because it reduces the operating cost of the businesses (Coronado, Khan, and Riggio,
2019). The another platform for 5G technology implementation is “edge computing”. Edge
computing before sending data to loT process the data within network and then send the relevant
data to the loT in order to reduce latency problems. So edge computing is better platform for 5G
technology as it 5G promises to provide low latency issues.
Types of organization uses 5G technology
There are generally different types of organization which uses the 5G technology in order
to improve and expand their businesses to the next level. It includes sole proprietorship,
partnership, corporations and limited liability company, multi-national corporations, not for
profit organizations, franchises, trust etc. (Ahokangas, and et.al 2019). of all over the world. In
order to use the 5G technology, the businesses have to prepare themselves for it.

5G as a business tool
5G systems is act as a business tool because it empowers the organizations in order to
hire the talented individuals from outside the city or even from different country. Because of the
low latency and faster data rates facility that 5G technology promises to provide helps the
businesses to process, manage, cover and analyse the large number of data's and informations.
Apart from that it also effective for the businesses in increasing the employee productivity,
reduces the operational cost and improve customer's satisfaction (Sousa, and Rocha, 2019). It is
also effective for the businesses in order to provide the safety and security to their staffs. As 5G
technology is 35 times faster than the 4G technology, so the work and tasks of the businesses are
get completed in less time and at lower cost.
Relation of digital technologies & emerging theories with businesses and management structure
There are various forms of organization which generally follow the same kind of business
structure that is top-down structure. And implementation of digital technologies in each form and
each level of organization is significant for the improvement and expansion of the businesses.
Technology is improving day by day, so adapting the technological improvement is important for
all business to survive in the uncertain environment. Introduction of new technology in every ten
years put all the businesses into the situation which require the proper understanding and
analysing of new technology. With the introduction of 5G technology, the businesses have to
face different opportunities and challenges (Pagani and Pardo, 2017). Introduction of new
technology not only bring the changes in the business and management structure but it also
brings changes in the practices and policies of the businesses. Businesses practices are the
guideline, ethics and ideas of the organization that need to be followed by all employers and
employees of the company. Not only that it also deals with the issues and problems that company
faces in the near future. Despite, of the digital technologies the old and new emerging theories
are also has relation with the structure and practices of the businesses.
In order to select and consider the business models that perfectly fit the organization,
digital technology plays the significant role. Carrying the business from the manual to the digital
mode requires deep knowledge of the digital technology and understanding regarding how to
implement the technology in the business. By implementing the new technology such as 5G and
using it properly helps the businesses in increasing the customer base of the organization. Digital
platform is becoming important for both customers and organizations day by day to enhance

their values and goodwill. Because of the introduction of the fifth generation of the cell phone
module, company are able to store, analyse and process more data as compare to the earlier
generation of the mobile phone module. Whether the business is related with entertainment,
travel, retail, communication, shopping it doesn't matter, involvement of digitalization is very
important to connect virtually with the large number of people. In present era, because of the
social networking sites, texting, tablets, mobile phones, laptops etc. no one feel themselves
isolated in the digital world. It is directly linked with the business improvement such as if
customer make online order for groceries with their mobile phones it will directly increases the
business customer base and profitability (Goodyear, Kerner and Quennerstedt, 2019). Another
example is if public uses the digital technology to watch videos or uses Facebook with ultrafast
speed directly increases business online traffic and further increase profitability.
Because of the introduction of new technologies such as 5G, the speed of the internet will
also increase which helps the businesses in transferring the large amount of data virtually with
high speed internet all over the world. 5G technology promise to offer high speed stream videos
without any disturbance helps the entertainment industry and other business in improving the
quality of their video which will improve customer satisfaction. Because of the digital
technology, many of the works of the businesses are get done without even present in the
premises. During this pandemic situation, because of the lock-down all works and businesses are
temporary get shut down in order to stop the COVID-19 cases (Holotiuk, Pisani and Moormann,
2017). In this time, there is only one scope the world left with is digital technology. Because of it
all the businesses, government works are get done virtually with the use of internet. And with the
help of the introduction of 5G technology, the internet speed will also increase to the next level
and help the businessman in conducting the tasks virtually over the internet.
As the use of digital technology tool provides the businesses to collaborate with other
businesses and helps them to operate the entire business digitally. So it is clearly shows the direct
relation between the digital technologies and the structure of the businesses. In order to lead an
organization, following the emerging leadership theories is must for the businesses. The impact
of the emerging theories on the business is that it helps in the smooth operations of the business.
For this purpose, every business owner have to incorporate the systems in the organizations
which reduces their operational cost and increases their profitability and value in the market. For
example, because of the introduction of GST in many countries requires the businessman to

implement the systems which will smoothly processes the GST work. And this further increases
the needs of the digital technology in the present time.
Implementation of digitalization in each level of the organization not only increases the
speed of the tasks completions but it will also enhance the knowledge of the individual's working
in the company. Because of digital technology there is a low chances of the error in the work as
compared to the manual work. Digital technology helps in recording the business transactions
automatically and accurately (Luz Martín‐Peña, Díaz‐Garrido and Sánchez‐López, J. M., 2018).
Emerging theories is directly linked with the formation and structuring the organizational
structure in the hierarchical manner. Human relation theory of the emerging theory is applied in
the organization in order to improve the productivity among the dissatisfied employees. It is
directly related with the practices that the organization should adopt in order to increase the
efficiency of the business. Digital technology is also directly related to the business practices as
every company have to remove the outdated software and implement updated software and
secure networks for smooth functioning of the internet connection.

The report concludes the importance of 5G technology in the improvement of the
economy of each country. The report concludes the importance of digital technology along with
the historical background of the 5G technology. These report also concludes how the fifth
generation mobile module helps the businesses in improving and emerging their operations in the
