Spoke person 1- Hi, we are present here to make an
important decision. 5G technology in telecom industry is
the new era. The 4G spectrum and its excitement were not
yet over and the new development has taken over the
industry. We shall be analyzing our research work to ideally
move on to the new technology completely or to hold the
decision of stocking new 5G enabled smart phones.
Spoke person 2- To come to this conclusion we have done
a survey on the Smartphone users in the country. We have
divided the research into fourteen answers and today we
shall be looking into each answer to find out the best
solution to the present management problem.

Spoke person 3- As we are trying to analysis the
intention the smart phone users who shall be willing or
not willing to upgrade to a 5G compatible Smartphone.
This shall make it clear, when can the company
prepare to stock the 5G Smartphone. So let’s begin
with the basic information as you can see on the slide.
Spoke person 4- The survey was conducted in the New
Zealand and the age group that we considered was
between 15 years to 64 years both the genders. They
may or may not be Smartphone user. The question to
everyone was “To enjoy the high speed internet and
other 5G facilities will you be buying (upgrading) a
new 5G smart phone in near future.” The answer was
divided into fourteen section and we shall be analyzing
these answers to come a conclusion.

Manager- I am happy that you have done a live survey. This
shall give a clear picture of what the customers think.
Spoke person 1- People who strongly agreed to buy a new
phone for experiencing 5G service was only 9.14% and
people who strongly disagreed was 25.38%. But altogether
people who thinking to invest in the new phone was around
18.27%. This indicates that we can convert them positive by
strong advertisement and campaigning. There were group of
people who were neutral thus they can also be influenced
over a period of time.
Spoke person 2- If we summaries answer of 2 and 3 we come
to conclusion that people are interested in buying 5G
Smartphone with 2 year time. More than 50% of the
population is in the position to agree in buying a new phone
in 12 months. A better scene is seen in the Q 3 where more
than 60% of the crowd is willing to purchase the phone in
next 2 years.

Spoke person 3- Now we shall analysis the answers 4
to 10. Here we see that the population is interested
in getting a new 5G smart phone only because they
find it a better option than their existing handset. The
reason to change the handset can be many but we
see them being less confident and the decision is
completely based on how much they get influenced
by others. The influence factor can be modulated as
per our marketing strategies.
Spoke person 4- If we see at the data of the people
who are not interested in investing into the 5G smart
phone at any time is maximum in the age group of
15 to 34. Almost a 33.5% of people are agreeing that
they shall never go for a 5G Smartphone. Whereas,
30% disagree and this can be converted to a positive
customer in future.

Spoke person 1- The last two answers from the survey is linked
with each other. In one of the answer we come to know about the
interest of the consumer to purchase the smart phone in a span of
40 years. And in the next answer we gets to know why they will be
delaying the purchase. There are more than 150 reasons why they
shall be delaying their purchase in 2020 and later years.
Manager- I shall like to know what is the conclusion. What shall
your team recommend. Our decision will include your survey
result.
Spoke person 2- I may recommend that we shall go for stocking of
the 5G smart phone handset. The quantity that we shall stock can
be less than expected as per the survey. The stocking will
definitely help in saving our expense. The craze for 5G smart
phone shall see a huge rage and it will cover the whole market in
no time. We go for the value based pricing strategy we may be
able to set a higher market value for the new handset. And slowing
the price skimming strategy can gain more profit without losing
any customer.

Spoke person 3- The impact of varied pricing strategy
may lead us into monopolistic competition. We shall be
stocking the smart phones at lower price, later selling it
at a very competitive price to new customers. If new
offers or innovative sales strategies be used than we can
increase our loyal customer base along with profit.
Spoke person 4- The limitation are that the buyer may
take time to be convinced and the time is not certain.
The other limitation is, if we face tough competition from
local sellers it may hamper our strategies. As costing is
one major point of demand deviation. Lastly we would
suggest to stock the smart phone for it will definitely find
new customers. An attractive sales strategy always
works when we consider selling new technology.
