Topic identification
Explicit research about the topic, helped me to map its impact on the specified
parameters. Within this, excavation of the research problems assisted me to apply the
appropriate approach towards application into the execution of the project. Formation of the
team and discussing the selected topics proved beneficial for assessing the effectiveness and
feasibility of the topic. Aligning with the arguments of Schön (2017), I felt that these
discussions is apt for enriching the knowledge horizons. I felt that competency with the
research topic was a wise choice for attaching different perspectives to the project. This
approach formed assistance in terms of analysing the correlation between the variables.
Library search was also helpful for upgrading the knowledge about the research topic, that is
effect of social media on the organizational effectiveness of 7 Eleven, Sydney.
Literature review
Journal articles and books were the important sources for me to collect the necessary
information. Along with this, I also accessed several websites, which broadened my

Research methodology
I felt that quantitative method is apt for collecting the necessary data regarding the
role of social media for enhancing the effectiveness of 7 Eleven, Sydney. Along with this,
qualitative method is also useful in terms of assessing the extent to which social media proves
beneficial in digitalizing the operations of 7 Eleven. Selection of 150 customers is appropriate
in terms of gaining an insight into their approaches to the standards and quality of the
operations through the use of social media. Considering the assumptions of Edwards (2017), I
think that application of simple random sampling technique is not apt in terms of the
competency needed for the producing the responses regarding the impact of social media on
achieving growth and development.
The method of survey is beneficial in terms of influencing the thought process of the
sample. Variation in the options is the initiative towards mapping the arenas through which
the responses of the samples would venture. According to me, taking consent from the
samples before conducting the survey aligns with the ethical approach needed for conducting
a project. Agreeing to the propositions of Baldwin (2016), I felt that survey questionnaires are
apt for analysing the responses provided by the samples. In this, tables, charts and graphs are
beneficial for projecting the statistics needed for making estimations.
Data findings
Relevancy prevails in the expected findings and impact of the consumer based
practices on the positive and negative implications. Irrational approach in this can lead to
discrepancies in the gathering the necessary information. This develops hypothetical
approach, which is inclusive of the benefits and challenges encountered by 7 Eleven. In this, I
can say that hypothesis is framed according to the exposed performance and the standards

Reflection on the research experience
When I got the topic, I felt that this is one of the areas with which I am acquainted

and websites for collecting the necessary information. I discussed the collected information
with the supervisors, which helped me to assess whether the selected topic is correct or not.
Once I got the approval that the topic is fine, I proceeded with the development of the aims
and objectives. This helped me to explore the rationale behind execution of the project.
After this, I moved on to the preparation of literature review, where I exposed the
significance of the concepts. In this, my approach was exploratory for gaining an insight into
the dynamics of the topic (Stynes et al. 2018). Application of the theories and models helped
me to gain a deeper understanding into the digitalization, which is needed in the workplace
for upgrading the standards and quality of the operations. The sequential step was the
methodology, which comprised of the methods through which I collected the necessary data.
I felt that if I had more time and finance, I could have conducted thematic analysis and

referred to other sources. This would have helped me to reach to the expected conclusion and
recommendations. I felt that evaluation was necessary in terms of detecting the drawbacks.
Consistency was missing, which generated discrepancies, adding to the hypothetical approach
