Describe the meaning of Covey by “beginning with the end in mind.”
Beginning with the end in mind can be understood as taking in advance the desired direction, and
role one has to see
to deal with the future steps taken in a task. In the book by Covey, he has tried to explain the
impact of potential lifestyle and choices one possess that impacts the development of an
individual and the decision they take in the future. As per Covey the concept of “beginning with
the end in mind” can help in analysing the potential outcome from the current profile and taking
particular measures to deal with these resources in life. This concept helps in the development of
the possible goals and objectives in the growth and development of an individual and practical
application of various logics and theories applied in the company. This concept has helped me in
taking appropriate decisions and developing my leaf vigorously and effectively.
I can state an example in my student life when I was supposed to survey domestic violence in
Canada, and I was given a team to collectively conduct research and depict the impact and
collect the factors involved in the same. This concept has helped me in analyzing the overall
needs of the survey and collect practical knowledge of the working process and lifestyle of the
people involved in the same. This has been helping me to make practical application of the roles
and responsibilities of all the team members and make subsequent changes in the process. In the
beginning, only I decided the criteria and needs of the research and aligned the team and
resources accordingly. This has helped make future criteria of the company.
