Introduction
Cloud services has increasing importance in the organizations
day by day due to the ease of operations, security and
backup
reasons. DTGOV also felt the importance of cloud computing
when the complexity of working got increased. Hence for
migrating the system on AWS, DTGOV can test their web
servers by migrating them online on IaaS instance on AWS
cloud environment by providing all the infrastructure and
hardware by making them virtually available for the
customers. These web servers will be available virtually on the
cloud platform and all the clients’ requests will go directly to
the web server. The DTGOV will be able to provide server
space, file maintenance and various web services to their
own clients and the outsourcing clients.

Difference between Cloud-based approach and On-premises data centres
S. No. Cloud-based approach On-premises data centres
1 The cloud-based approach will enable the users with pay-as-
you-go policy
which cannot be achieved in
on-premises data centres
2 The cloud-based approach has almost no risk of server down
time as a lot of servers can take up the load in case a server
goes down.
This is not the case in on-
premises.
3 The cloud-based infrastructure doesn’t require high
investments to be made on maintenance.
These data centres require
regular investments for
maintenance purposes.
4 The cloud-based infrastructure has the ability to scale the
system up and down according to customer requirements.
Scaling is difficult to achieve in
the case of ever-changing
customer requirements.
5 The data flow is somewhat difficult to control and manage. The data flow is completely
visible and controllable.
6 Data backups and security checkups can be automated. Automation cannot be
achieved and only manual
work can be used for
automating the processes.

Differences between IaaS, PaaS and Saas
IaaS PaaS SaaS
It is the basic layer of cloud
computing.
It is present at the top of
IaaS.
It is a service package.
To use this platform,
technical knowledge is
needed.
Little knowledge is needed
to operate
The company provider
handles every task.
Infrastructure is provided
to the customers, for
which the customers can
pay according to their
needs.
The platform is presented
to the user on demand.
A pre-configured package
according to the demand is
provided.
The company needs to
manage applications, data,
middleware, Operating
system and run time.
PaaS manages everything
only application and data
needs to be managed by
the customer.
Here nothing needs to be
managed by the customer
because SaaS provider
manages everything.
IaaS reduce the
expenditure on human
resources and hardware.
It provides version
deployment.
SaaS reduces cost by
providing software and
development resources.
