Project, programme
and portfolio
management—
Explain the relevance of
systems thinking to the
project, program and portfolio
manager.
According to my opinion, the system thinking is
the essential element which gives aid to manage
the project and reduce the drawback-effect which
directly impact on the project management. So,
this is necessary to take the aid from the system
thinking application by the project manager, so
that reduce the complexity of the diverse project.
I believe that the system thinking needs better
collaboration between technical leaders, so that
improvise the pattern of the working style.
According to my overall study of the Deepwater
Horizon and Taxes disaster that these disasters
happen due to lack of technical efficiency and
management less accuracy (Patanakul, 2015). So,
the Company should take aid from the system
thinking the application to reduce the risk factor
and identify the environmental situation (Ingason,
2015).
In my view, the project management has a deeply
connected relationship between the approaches
made by the system engineering and the research
which are been conducted by project
management. In the project works based on the
new technologies evolved further, it can improve
the technology. The engineers and researcher

According to my study, the System thinking is a
crucial way to know how the system is working
currently, and how it will work in the future. The
interrelations between many new aspects of
technology been developed and analysed by
system thinking of project management. I think,
the system thinking breaks down the traditional
analysis into parts. This can be applied to any area
of study such as environmental, education,
medical etc (Patanakul, 2015). As per my view,
the system components increase by reinforcing
the system. Reinforcement is important and it
should be properly analyzed before
implementing, failing which it can destroy true
intentions. According to my opinion, Feedbacks
are the very important part of system thinking
(Stark, 2015).Providing attention to the feedback
will help to improve and find solutions provided
to the resources. It is helpful in solving problems
in a simple manner. As per my view, system
thinking can be learned quite easily depending on
the interdisciplinary system of the project
management. In system thinking, when we
change one part of the system and replace with
the other, it can help to manage the overall
aspect of the system (Kusters, 2016). I understand
that It is important to understand how well a
system is able to adapt to the environment's main

understanding that it is very important to
understand the importance of system thinking in
the decision-making processes. It is required to
understand how things in project management
will go further.
