Assessment 1
The five disciplines of learning can be discussed in the Senge book. I have been analysed that
these disciplines are used in organisational learning and organisational change. As per my
experience, these disciplines are very useful in the business organisation. The learning is one
of the important processes of the organisation and the book covers main aspects of the change
and learning. The five disciplines which I have been identified in this book are described
below-
A shared vision- I have been analysed in the book that shared vision includes the
same vision of the employees of the company. This includes the vision-statement
which matters a lot in the management of the organisation. This vision is authentic.
Mental models- I have analysed the mental models in the book which is used to
describe the presumptions and generalisations of the people which impacted by the
actions. The mental models have been changed due to their own behavior and beliefs.
This process is very useful as per my knowledge.
Personal Mastery- this process of learning includes the people strength and keep
learning to achieve better results in the organisation. I have been analysed that this
discipline is very important in the organisation as it includes what is important for us
and able to see the reality of the process.
Team Learning- I have analysed that this process includes two important aspects
which are effective team lead gives better results and the team embers shift the mental
models to achieve better learning in the organisation.
System Thinking- I have been learning from the book that this is used to identify the
patterns in an organisation by the various viewpoint. The author describes the
elephant metaphor in the book and this helps in learning and changing of the
organisation.
