Introduction
The report reflects on business communication which evaluates how an organization can develop
more effective ways of communication within its departments to increase its performance. Here,
the report describes business communication of Wall- Mart stores which is one of the biggest
retail industry in Canada. The report helps to derive how an organization can enhance its
communication level with the help of acronym, the tool which helps in developing the
communication level and implement some communication strategies to enhance the performance
of employees at the workplace. All these essentials of business communication are described in
this report.
Body
LEAR an acronym communication tool of communication that can enhance the performance of
the retail industry and can help the organization to resolve the conflicts among the members and
help in empathizing the customer needs. The main function of LEAR is to analyze the needs and
requirements of the customer by developing better communication process with them (Success
manual, 2019). It is a most effective communication acronym tool that helps in solving the
problems by analyzing the problems which are faced by the organizational departments (Jovicic,
& Richardson, 2013).
The word LEAR means (Listen, Empathize, Ask and Resolve), the tool that helps in enhancing
the performance of an organization and develop a better organizational culture at the workplace.

Communication is the main element of management. Without communication, the managers are
not able to respond to the uncertainties taking place in the organization. The primary element of
the selected acronym is L that stands for Listen. Listening is essential for enhancing the
efficiency of the communication process. In the process of communication only imposing their
own ideas and thought is not important aside to this the managers should likewise try to develop
the habit of listening. With the help of this method the managers Walmart will be able to
understand the thoughts of the employees and the staff. This factor will help the organization in
maintaining clarity of thought among the employees and likewise help in facilitating an effective
environment in the organization The employees will free to communicate with their supervisors
and can put their ideas in front of them. With the help of this project, the managers will likewise
be able to motivate the subordinates effectively. The employees will consider themselves as part
of the organization and will initiate ideas to the managers. Under this method, the mangers of
Walmart will likewise try to collect feedback from the consumer. Based on the feedback
collected the company will be able to form strategies that will promote the growth of the
organization.
Empathize
The second element of the selected element is E that stands for Empathize. Empathize is a
process in which the managers try to understand the nature and behaviour of other personals or
stakeholders. Under this process, the mangers of Walmart will try to analyze the behaviour of all
the major stakeholders associated with the firm, i.e., consumers, investors and the employees
(Success manual, 2019). By studying the preferences and inclination of the consumers the
organization will be able to frame sound business policies that will help in the growth of the

of this tool, an employee of Wall mart can analyze the customer taste and preferences through
which they can satisfy the ineffective customer manner, this practice help in increasing the
customer retention rate of the company through which it can enhance its organizational growth
and performance in the market.

It is an essential process in LEAR, where the organization and its employees able to resolve all

quality services at the best cost and develop retain customers in the market. As wall mart
company has to engage more employees by providing proper training and development programs
through which they can analyze the customer preference and May able to develop some

manual, 2019). The main motive of every organization is to develop effective communication
within the market segments, and it is a most effective communication acronym tool that helps in
solving the problems by analyzing the problems which are faced by the organizational
departments (Jovicic, & Richardson, 2013). Thus, it can be said that Resolve is an essential
aspect of LEAR which helps in solving the problems and develop an effective relationship with
customers.

enhance their productivity. The assignment helps in explaining an acronym related to
