INTRODUCTION
Design can be defined as a craft which emphasizes on developing a beautiful object. In
context of an organisation , designed can be refers to as a creative plan formulated by manager in
an organisation to drive firm towards achievement of success. In present highly competitive
business environment, development of creative strategies or plan is very much important in order
to gain competitive advantage. With the change in the passage of time craft has taken the place
of design. Craft has provided people with new ways through which they can explore as well as
interact with world.
The purpose of the report is to gain valuable insight into the latest methods and tools
being used in the design industry.

1. Selection of path
When this question has been asked whether craft or future , I always think that there are
really only two paths which artist can select. I perceive that human centred design can be the
way for improving the future. But by stating this statement that human centred design is best
suited for the future, it does not mean that an individual should not take interest in craft. I also
believe that it is very much important for person to develop the craft skills. As abilities required
for developing the craft will also be required in the future by an individual in order to become
good designer. I perceive that, it is the craft skills which has allowed human being to become
designer. I have realised that an individual who wants to be a good designer is required to
develop specialised abilities as well as core competencies in order to create beautiful items. I
think that an individual in order to become good designer should have depth knowledge about
craft, technology , environment etc. I also suggest that a

I think that design thinking starts with integrative thinking which is defined as the
procedure of development of ideas for resolving specific problem. I perceive that design
thinking is all about resolving different issues in systematic manner and in such way that same
problem should not occur in the future. I think that to resolve the issue permanently , one need
to concentrate on problem, user , resources , techniques etc.
I perceive that Effective design thinking is that which has proved to be useful in
balancing desirability and have potential to fulfil the need of people. In addition to this I also

perceive that Effective design thinking means economic viability as well as technical
feasibility.
3. Important principles as well as methods utilised in designing field of practices.
I have experienced that converging as well as diverging ideology is an effective tool
when implementing the design thinking. Divergence ideology includes analysing the problem ,
identifying the root cause of the issue,recognising the appropriate solution (Elsbach and
Stigliani,2018). I have analysed that converging ideology includes defining the solution related
to the problem as well as highlighting the area which require improvement. I have learned that
in convergence phase, a person can develop prototypes to test various hypothesis. I perceive that
an individual can learn many things from the failure (Huq and Gilbert,2017). An individual
should not be afraid from getting failed , as this factor encourage person to identify new ways of
achieving success. I consider that the learning which has been gained through failure is more
important as well as valuable. I have experienced that double diamond methodology is
appropriate designing strategies which can be utilised by designer.
4. Anticipating design thinking becoming part of design practice.
I believe that design thing is very much powerful tool which can be utilised by designer. I
perceive that it is very much important for an individual to determine the type of designer they
want to become. Another thing which a person should know is the objective of becoming
designer. I want to solve the problems as well as I have desire to bring change in world by
becoming a designer. I have planned that I will develop more understanding about the double
diamond approach. I have also decided that I will conduct depth investigation on craft. As I
believe that research strategy will assist be in becoming good designer and it will also help me in
improving my designing procedure. I think that evaluating the effectiveness of design is very
important as this procedure will enable designer in developing the understanding about
productive concept of design. I consider that it is crucial to have mindset of establishing small
business venture. As small medium enterprise have the high potential to grow and facilitates
innovation.
