This project report details the setup of a virtualized network infrastructure for ABC Limited, encompassing two tasks. Task 1 focuses on configuring VirtualBox and IP settings to establish a network (ABCnet) connecting ServerDC1 (domain controller) and ServerDM2, including ping tests to verify connectivity. The report covers VirtualBox setup, the use of pfSense for bridging, and the configuration of static IP addresses. Task 2 involves setting up Active Directory-based authentication and management services. This includes specifying resource allocation for ServerDC1, installing Windows Server 2016, and configuring Active Directory Domain Services (ADDS). The report describes the process of promoting the server to a domain controller, adding machines to the domain, creating organizational units, and applying group policies. The project aims to create a functional and secure network environment for ABC Limited, emphasizing the importance of virtualization and domain management.
