The scope of the project is to design and develop or reconstruct the existing website of
ABC software Private Limited. For accomplishing the “website upgrading project“, supporting
resources and stakeholders should be assigned. At the project initiation phase, this large project
must be subdivided into segments and individuals are required to be assigned to each of the
segment. The lessons learned from the study of project management practices and its application
in knowledge areas are applied while reconstructing the existing website project. Professional
commitments from project team members are also crucial and the project charter considers the
team operation principles also. The other instance of project scope is stakeholders name their
responsibilities and the possible risk along with development of a risk register.
1.2 Business case
The project has a commercial negative consequence to both their clients and employees.
In the new era of technology it is much important for any business organization to develop an
attractive, user friendly and easy to response website which can be easily handled by both their
consumers and working employees. These features will help the company to grab new
consumers and at the same time retain existing consumers also. ABC software Private Limited
offers accounting software system to the consumers. The company serves both online and offline
services to their consumers therefore, non responsive website was negatively impacting its
success line, In order to resolve operational and functional challenges and gathered consumer’s
feedback the company decided to improve the existing structure of the website.

advantages as well.
Before redesigning and reconstructing the website the company needs to build additional
features and functionalities as well without redo the entire website. The marketing manager of
ABC software Private Limited needs to consider the advanced marketing strategies while
reconstructing the website. The content of the websites should also be updated. Besides this, the
assigned project manager must ensure that the website is completely optimized by the Senior
Executive Officers of the company. The marketing efforts will be helped also if theses feature

team members. It is assumed that stakeholder register, risk register and milestone scheduling of
the project are much crucial to accomplish the project within estimated time and budget.
From the project management prcatices it is also learned that, there are certain knowledge
areas that must be analyzed to deliver a successful project. It is also learned that, before listing
target audience possible risks need to be identified, analyzed and prioritized accordingly. Based
on the complexity of these risks the risk register should be developed. The other knowledge areas
which fall under the project manager’s concern include professional communication strategies,
HR strategies and quality management plan.
