Introduction
ABC is a wireless network business that deals installing wireless sensor based
systems for home energy consumption. In the recent past, there has been complaints from
consumers regarding their household electrical appliances consuming a lot of power. ABC
Company will work to see to it that the problem is resolved. To resolve the problem ABC has
advanced wireless sensor-based system that will monitor and control household appliances
from consuming excessive power (Blanco, García, & Morenas, 2018).
Project Scope
The objectives of ABC business project include:
To provide consumers with an automated intelligent system that will allow a
responsible energy consumption.
To ensure that the system will perform and efficient energetic management of home
appliances, processes and machines by optimising their operations to decline the
overall energy consumption at any time.
The aim of ABC it to ensure that at the end of the project the project will deliver a
wireless sensor-based actuator network (WSAN). The WSAN is a new intelligent system that
has the ability to manage energy by controlling household appliances. The system decides
when the devices should connect to power at a specified period to optimise costs. The
operation of this system is based on analysis and decision-making on a real-time energy
production and usage data.
Communication plan
For ABC to ensure that its project of developing a WSAN system work successfully,
it has ensured that all the project stakeholders that is the project manager, project team,

stakeholders have agreed that indeed, the challenge of energy has become a major problem

Therefore, the cost for developing the energy control system is estimated to cost $700,000.

The work breakdown structure for ABC project will be categorised into several
phases such as initiation, planning, execution and closure. The initiation phase will entail
identifying the business problem and needs, which in this case is to look for a suitable way to
reduce excessive consumption of energy when using household appliances. Planning phase
will involve splitting the project goals into small manageable tasks. Execution phase will
entail creating project tasks and organising workflows. During this phase, the project
manager briefs the team on how different tasks should be undertaken.

Project schedule
According to the initial analysis of ABC project intents to take eight months to
develop WSAN system for monitoring and controlling energy consumption by household
appliances.
Project resources and risk
The resources required to ensure that ABC realize its project it requires human
resources, finances and equipment. However, the risk associated with this project is that it is a
new project that is still in its initial stages hence it may not have sufficient expatriates forcing
the project manager to outsource expatriates from outside (Bri, Garcia, Lloret, & Dini, 2009).
Therefore, the risk could be brought in by lack sufficient human resource to adequately work
on the project.
Project Budget
The project budget to accomplish this project is approximately $700,000. These
finances will cater for all project activities ranging from payments of project teams and
