Introduction
Presently, I am doing my higher education in English and I have been facing great
difficulties in my academic courses in order to pursue my dream course. However, I was able to
overcome the difficulties that I had faced in an academic career and gain success both personally
and academically. The assignment will be dealing with the difficulties or the odds that I faced in
my academic life as the way I managed to deal with it in order to gain success in life.
Body
In the initial days of my life, I was not very much good in vocabulary. It is through the
encouragement of my parents as well as by my teacher’s in schools to read books and journals,
which I was able to enhance my knowledge and skills related to vocabulary. Another odd that I
suffered in the initial days of my life is that I was not creative and neither was I able to express
my thoughts to the others. It was one of the greatest difficulty that was being faced by me since it
is one of the basic factors that needed to be considered in order to become a writer in the future
(Harper). However, the encouragement given by my teachers in the school to write reflective
essays helps in overcoming this difficulty. It is through the writing, that I was able to express the
thoughts that I was not able to express before. The reflective writing also helped me to enhance
the skills of my creativity (Sellers). In the beginning days, I was not much good with words,
however, reading new journals, books apart from the books which are prescribed in the syllabus
helped me in my vocabulary. Apart from this, in order to gain the understanding of new words, I
used to go back home and search for the meanings of the words which were unknown to me.
This helped me in gaining new knowledge of words which helped me to utilize them later in my
academic course. However, the feedback that was being provided by the teachers regarding my
performance also helped me to alternate and change accordingly. The feedbacks helped me to

rectify in the places where I was doing wrong which eventually helped me in improving. It is
through the help of my parents and teacher, I was able to improve upon my writing talent and
write various journals and articles. Presently, I am facing the difficulty of getting a publisher
who can publish my journal and an article so that I can get global recognition.
Conclusion
The conclusion that can be made from the assignment is that though I tend to face various
problems or odds in the beginning days of my academic life, the determination to achieve
success in life and the motivation from the parents and teachers helped me to understand my
mistakes and rectify or improve accordingly. However, learning is a continuous process, I intend
to learn in the upcoming future and improve from it tentatively.
