INTRODUCTION
Academic skills defines to core skills made up that are presentation skills, academic
writing and referencing, which support more complex skills like reflective practices and critical
thinking. It assist in encouraging people or students to become best efficient learner.
Employability skills refers as transferable skills required by an individual to efficiently make
them more employable. Along with effectual technical understanding or knowledge about
subject, employers set a outline of skills which they expect from each employee. Blow report is
based on module which provided in brief and that includes reflection about experience on
module, skills which acquired for this module (Aliu and Aigbavboa, 2019). Modules are divided
into six weeks such as in first week include discussion or seminar, in second week Presentation
skills, third week includes reading advice clinic, fourth week includes nature of academic
argument, fifth week include job satisfaction, graduate attribute or teamwork and in sixth week
includes advice clinic project submission. On each module there are explained a reflection on the
basis of nature and personal opinion also included.
MAIN BODY
Week 1nd February
Seminars and Discussion
Seminar defines to a form of instruction in academic, either in an any academic institute
or provided by professional or commercial organisation. It has functions of together bringing of
small teams for meetings recurring, focusing on every time period on some specific topic or

subject in which every people present is requested to take part (Cotronei-Baird, 2020).
Discussion refers to act of talking and writing on some topics with other group or person. This
activity performed by any corporation or institutes for transferring thoughts and present their
point of view.
Reflection
In first week I attained seminar and discussion and I learned lots of things such as how to
present specific topic or personal opinion and make a discussion with audience or people for
getting more thoughts. Before seminar research is must so I did lots of research about how to
attained seminar and what are requirements for seminar I use listening skills because it is most
important part in attaining seminar. For discussion I keep my thoughts level at high rate and
present my personal opinion in formal manner so there is no offence among group of people. I
faced difficulties of presenting my opinion in seminar or discussion. I am introvert person and
for me difficulties are at higher level in seminar and discussion. I tried to interact with every
person in personal and professional life so I can learn about transferring my thoughts and keep
communicate with others without any hesitation. To avoid Stage fear practising is must in front
of people, family, friends and mirror to overcome from problem.
Week 2nd February
Presentation skills
It defines to that skills which are needed in delivering effectual and presentation engaging
to a different variety of people or audiences (Gray and Myers, 2018). These cover various kind
of areas that are presentation structure, slides designs, voice tone and language of body to
convey. There are four types of skills in this such as Informative, instructional, decision making,
persuasive and Arousing.
Reflection
In second week I learned about presentation skills and how to present in front of
audiences with proper manner and formate. I acquired particular skills are that are assist in
making presentation with professional formate which suits formal corporation and practising for
how to present PPT in-front of many people and variety of audience. In have to prepare PPT as
per different people mind set and understanding level. In have stage fear so for this I try to
overcome from this by using some strategies such as practising in-front of mirror or in front of

relatives of family so can overcome my fear and present PPT in right and effective manner. I am
working in different way also that are how to set my goals in right manner, how to present my
passion in front of audience, using personal life stories so people can related with me and
maintain interest for my presentation. Add some humours and ask some questions to audience to
maintain interaction process because audience participation is must for successful presentation.
Carry right and attractive body language because personalty matters a lot for audience or people.
Controlling on words as per situation is important to use right words at right time.
Week 3rd February
Reading Advice Clinic
This refers to how to advice to people in particular clinic. There are lots of things are
going in clinic place. Patients are come for their health issues and treatments for overcome come
health issues (Hsiao and Lin, 2018). Reading advice clinic is about people disabilities and
resolve them with suitable treatments.
Reflection
In 3rd week I learned about clinic process and how to handle patients quires and provide
appropriate advice as per health issues which are facing by patients. I acquired different skills
that are I have to interact with people in polite manner and try to convince them for their
treatment. I have an problem of introvert I cannot talk easily with people and I have problems
with communications skills I try to overcome from these difficulties by using different strategies
such are I try to communicate with every person who are available around me and for interaction
process is use phone very rarely and try to interact face to face. I take time before respond to nay
one and try to maintain eye contact with person whom I am interacting with. I carry respect for
every people. I try to transfer my thoughts and advice in simple works so that person can
understand in easy manner and show some interest in communication process.
Week 4th February
The nature of Academic Argument
It means a based evidence defence of non obvious position on various complex problems.
Academic argument is a particular topic which people are present in front of everyone and
conduct a discussion on this topic so presenter get various type of ideas and thoughts or increase
participation level among audience (Menz, 2020). It is important to clear a argument of nature so

audience can understand what is presentation is about and share personal thoughts and opinions
for argument.
Refection
In 4th week I learned about nature of academic argument and in this it is important to
know about clear topic or particular subject so we know about the argument is on which topic
and participate in argument for sharing thoughts and ideas to present myself in front of other
people. I acquired specific skills from this module is to clear topic of argument so that audience
can take part and show their interest level in discussion for effective success rate of argument. It
is based on effectual evidence and facts. It's main purpose is to make some conversation among
people so that skills and talent come out from people. Difficulties are some time I didn't use
simple words to convey my messages and ideas so people get confused and they were not shown
their interest in conversation. This weak point are create issues in this module also so to
overcome from this I try to use understandable words and message so person can understand
what I am saying and talking about. I am working on making interesting conversation in right
direction.
Week 1st March
Graduate Attributes, Job satisfaction and teamwork
Graduate attributes is defined as the top qualities, skills and understanding that a student
must receive through their learning as well as experiences while working in that particular
university. It is important that all students must have certain attributes so universities should
offer them opportunities but it depends on them whether they acquire that or not. In terms of job
satisfaction it means that an employee should get motivated while working in the organisation
and through this they must get satisfied with their jobs(Merriam and Grenier, 2019) . When an
employee gets satisfied with their job it leads to high productivity. In context with team work, it
is defined as a group which makes different efforts to achieve an objective and complete all task
effectively and efficiently.
Reflection
In 1st week of march I understood about certain graduate attributes, job satisfaction and
importance of team work. I learned that in an organisation job satisfaction is the most important
thing because if people would not be satisfied then they will not perform their job. I acquired

skills from this week that talent of motivating employees is necessary. Though there was job
satisfaction but at the same time I faced difficulty also because I didn't use effective methods of
motivating people. So, to overcome that I started giving incentives and opportunities to people in
order to motivate them. In concern with team work, I learned that in an organisation to become
successful effective team work is necessary as employees work together without any conflict. I
acquired skills like efficient communication skills while having a conversation with whole team.
I faced little difficulties because each individual had different point of view due to which
conflicts also got arise and it became difficult for me to manage each conflict. So, to overcome
that I used my listening skills and gave opportunity to each individual to give their point of view
and the idea which would be best will be applied. In case of graduate attributes, I learned that
while getting an experience in a university students should be given opportunities through which
they can participate in that and enhance their skills. I acquired skills like I had to provide
students certain opportunities and enhance their learning so that they can get developed but there
were certain difficulties also as student attributes were not able to developed because they were
not getting what they wanted in the university so to overcome that I used different technique of
developing their learning experiences.
Week 2nd March
Advice Clinic project Submission
Project submission means a document or a proposal which is provided in order to get it
approved. It is an activity of submitting something or it has been submitted(Neill, 2018).
Reflection
From the 2nd week of March I understood about the concept of project submission. In this
module I learned that while submitting a project or any kind of document to another person it is
necessary that it should be in the correct form so that it can get approved. I acquired that for
submitting a clinic project submission it is necessary that we should have an effective knowledge
of whole content so that we can write it well in that particular document also. Though following
those skills also I faced difficulty because proper information was not given due to which project
was also been submitted incomplete. To overcome that situation I tried to provide all information
earlier also and ask that whether they have got data or not.

CONCLUSION
It is concluded the above report, Academic and Employability skills are play major role
in presentation skills and motivating people. Employability skills are assist in understanding of
person's technical skills which are using in conducting a seminar or in discussion. In above
report there are conducted a seminar and discussion and modules divided in each week. Every
week there is different module learned. Every module is important for improve skills in right
manner and these are helps in future growth in every business or institutes. Presentation skills are
essential for presenting ideas or thoughts in front of other people, reading advice clinic assist in
better understanding of seminar and discussion, identify nature of arguments is important
because entire PPT based on this only, justify teamwork and hob satisfaction and in project
submission there are research is included, personal opinion is included and many more things.
