INTRODUCTION
In the professional and personal life of an individual, academic skills play a crucial role
by developing and increasing knowledge of an individual (Morley, 2018). It is essential for a
person to develop employability skills in order to get success in career related life. Most of the
students in academic and career life do not focus on academic skills which turns out to be bad for
them. In recent times most of the institutions mainly focus on developing academic skills in
order to gain growth in professional and personal life. In the career related aspects academic
skills play a major role by doing development of personality of a candidate. It is the moral duty
of a teacher in the institution to focus on developing academic skills in order to provide extra
advantage to the student in the field of career. Most of the times teachers focus on developing
knowledge with maximum efficiency in order to build career of students.
MAIN BODY
Gibbs model of reflection
The Gibbs model of reflection is a major practical model in the field of management
which is used for reflection in a precise manner (Okunuga and Ajeyalemi, 2018). This model of
reflection is used by many successful institutes and students to develop precise reflection on a
subject matter. The Gibbs model of reflection is mainly useful in leaning from experiences. It is
essential for a candidate or student to learn from past experiences in order to develop precise
knowledge about the subject matter.
I will use Gibbs model of reflection in order to describe my learning from past experiences. The
different stages which I went through are mentioned below:
Description- In recent times due to the impact of global pandemic Covid-19 I started to
prefer online classes in order to develop my learning skills. The online classes were held for a
long time and I started to learn online after the spread of pandemic. According to me online
learning is the best way of learning and is also helpful in providing deep knowledge of a subject
matter. In online learning I learnt basic idea of developing different methods to facilitate my
learning. There are different institutes near my institute which provides a base for online
learning. I faced several challenges in online learning among them the main challenge was
asking teachers a question. It is essential for a student to ask about different doubts that are
present in the mind of students. In online teaching it is a major disadvantage that several students

beneficial for me to develop a brief understanding of subject matter. In the era of information
and technology it is essential for a person to take online learning into consideration for better
understand various methods of learning. The individual learning is facilitated with the help of
computer systems and software to understand all the consequences of learning in the institutes. It
is also compulsory for teachers to develop and prepare many students for the online learning in
order to increase their learning and growth.
Feelings: In the starting of the module I was having a mixed feeling of nervousness and
happiness. I was feeling nervous because I was taking tension of the team members that what
nature they will hold. I was happy because of the opportunity of learning new things and develop
a good understanding about the subject matter (Paterson, 2018). I also felt that several students
who were my team members were also very nervous before the starting of our learning. During
this project I learnt coordination skills by coordinating effectively with the various team
members. In the end of our learning things went normal and we were all happy with the work. In
the end of the project I gave positive feedback to my teachers. In order to enhance feeling related
to the subject matter I developed verbal and vocabulary skills for growth and development. In
my whole experience I learnt that team work is essential for growth and development of whole
group which is helpful in accomplishment of a task in a precise manner.
Evaluation: If I perform the evaluation of my whole project then I can clearly mention
that it is important for a person to work in a team. The amount of burden on a person is
minimised by team work and it also helps in achievement of different tasks and activities. In the
development of knowledge I have learnt that it is important for a person to develop learning
skills (Pham, 2021). Many successful students also prefer to work in team as it encourages
development of an individual. Most of the successful institutes hire professional and skilled
teachers to facilitate learning of different students. I personally recommend Gibbs model of
reflection to many students because it is the best model which is helpful in developing
knowledge of an individual by providing effective learning from experiences. The Gibbs model
makes it easier for students to learn from experiences which is beneficial for future growth of the
student. There are several students who gets benefits from this major model of reflection in
academic life.

Analysis: Analysis is another stage of Gibbs model of reflection which is used for analysing
situation in for making sense. In this situation, my team performed very well as me and my
friends has take all classes of this module and also listen to teach carefully which improve our
learning. For starting assignment, I take initiate in team and divided whole work in team as per
interest as well as priority of people. I have experience of doing work in group before, which
helps me to take initiate of doing this work.
My group has complete our assignment on time with hard work and dedication. For this,

this feedback, me and my team manage our time and also submit it on due date. My team get
stresses at time we face problems in completing our assignment and this problem arise due to
improper planning.
For completion of this assignment, I search various literature which includes information team
work. This helps me in understand situation and also perform effectively. These literature
includes Group think, Belbin's team roles and many others. These models provide understanding
about how to complete work in team and coordinate with others. I get various benefits of
knowledge of me and my friends in this situation. Also dedication of my team towards group
goals helps to complete assignment in good manner.
Conclusion: From this situation, I learned many new things including division of work between
team members and also about how to coordinate among team members. Some of things which I
have learned from this situation are as follows:

Academic writing skills: Academic writing is another important skill which helps a
person in effectively write their views. I have learned this writing skills in this mdoue which
allow me ot write effective and getting good grades in examination. This provide various
opportunity to a person in both academic as well as professional life. This skill is developed by
completing assignment given by teachers.
Referencing: Referencing is another skills of giving credit to writer who has originally
write about some topic. It is one of important skills in academic life of a person as it helps to
avoid plagiarism in their content and also allow them to get evidence based on their writing
(Tang, 2019). I have knowledge about referencing but by attending classes of this module, I have
learned about application of referencing. It provide credit to to a person to use their content in
academic writing. I also understands different style for referencing in this module like online
referencing, academic referencing and many more.
This module provide me understanding of different things which helps me to coordinate and
work in a team. There are different things which provide me understanding of Group thinking
model and Belbin's model. These model helps a person to complete work in team and also to
avoid conflict in completion of work. I also gain understanding that there are various challenges
in path of a person while completing a work and they needs to take decision in order to reduce
impact of challenges occur in their path. In completion of assignment, me and my team has made
schedule in order to complete work on time and submit it on time without making any delay.
Action Plan: Next time, if I get same situation again in life, then will do things differently as I
make schedule of different activity which helps me to reduce burden on team and complete work
on time. For this we does not require to making changes in our other plan than academic work
(Tran, 2019). This is best solution to complete assignment on time and also helps to reduce
burden which provide various opportunity. If in future, I get opportunity to work in a team, I
will set out different expectation and ensure that team members will get work as per their
