INTRODUCTION
Academic skills are those skills which is important to improve learning skills of a person.
Whereas is employability skills are those which helps to identify employment opportunity to a
person (Clokie and Fourie, 2016). There are various employability and employability skills
which make a person efficient and improve quality of study. Employability skills are those which
include motivation, communication, problems solving, conflict resolution. Academic skills are
writing skills, presentation skills which improve learning and helps to get good grades to an
individual. This project report includes discussion of learning of academic skills and
employability skills module. This discussion include development and learning various skills of
employment and academic skills. Employment skills are those which helps to identify
employment opportunity of a person. There are various skills development by a person while
learning new things. This project report also contains discussion of difficulties in completion of
this modules and strategies to be adopted to overcome of these problems.
MAIN BODY
Learning from module
This module is about academic skills as well as employability skills. I have learned various new
things in this module which enhance my knowledge and learning (Kalfa and Taksa, 2017). This
knowledge and learning help me to get good grades and provide opportunity in future. With this
I have learned what is academic skills and its importance in life. I also learned about
employability skills and its importance in getting employment opportunity. Skills and knowledge
are important for ap person as it improve quality of life of a person and improve their efficiency
of working by providing them various opportunities in life.
Academic skills: Academic skills are those which are collection of study skills of a person
include time management, learning and strategies to improve learning of a person (Wrye, Chafin
and Higginbotham, 2019). Academic skills are important for students as it helps them to improve
their learning ability. It also boosts confidence of a person and allow them to ask question in
class without any hesitation. It improves writing skills of a person which helps them in gaining
more knowledge and learning. I have learned about academic skills and also learn importance of
tis in getting opportunity in life. I also learned how these skills helps a person to become
effective student and gain advantage to access of different opportunity in life.

Employability skills: Employability skills are those which are required by an individual at work
place. These skills allow a person to work efficiently and access many opportunities in life.
There are various employability skills including leadership (Misra and Khurana, 2018).
Motivation, commj9cation, problem solving, conflict management and many more. These skills
help to attain goals of a person and attain financial stability. These skills increase motivation of
person to again more and more skills. This provide career development and well as career growth
of a person. I have learned various new things in this module about employability and its
importance for life of a person. I also learned various ways to develop these skills and improve
skills of a person.
Specific skills acquired
There are various skills I have acquire during this module. Development of skills is important for
a person as it improve their learning and also increase efficiency of work. These skills are
important for both academic development as well as professional development of an individual.
Some of skills development by me are as follows:
Communication skills: Communication skills is one which helps in effective sharing of
information, ideas and thoughts. This skill is important for an individual for both academic skills
as well as employability skills. In this session, I have acquired effective communication skills
which helps in getting various opportunity in academic life as well as in professional life of a
person. It allows a person to speak effectively without any hesitation with clear words. This
communication helps in making me efficient and capable of giving speech, participated in group
discussion and debate activities. This skill also provides me opportunity to get better
employment in future.
Problems solving: Problems solving skills is one of skills which reflect ability of a person to
solve problem occur in an effective manner (Moore and Morton, 2017). This skill helps to
improve quality of life of a person as they are able to solve problems occur in life. These skills
improve confidence level of a person and also helps them to stand out in any situation. With this
module, I have developed problems solving skills and its importance in life of a person. It is one
of important skills as it makes person capable of solving various problems occur in their life.
Presentation skills: Presentation skills are those which is required to deliver presentation
effectively to different type of audience. This presentation skills include tone of presenting
presentation, body language, tone for conveying information contained in presentation. I have

acquired presentation skills form this module as it helps me to communicate effectively. It also
makes a person presentable as individual need to work of their body posture. This presentation
allows me get various opportunity in academic as well as professional life.
Team working: Team working skills is one of skills which allow a person to work in a group of
people. Team working is one of important skills for a person as it allows them to coordinate with
another person (Nirmala and Kumar, 2018). This helps to attain mutual goals of person involve
in team work. For completion of any work in group require mutual understanding as well as
patience. It is important for a person to learn team working as they need to work in a group of in
a team in future at work place. It is also important to run a business as to make a business
successful a person need to work in a team. In this module, I have developed team working skills
which provide me opportunity in future.
Difficulties in module and its cause
There are various difficulties face by me during this session which create negative impact on my
learning. I face many problems related to management of time, not making notes of hesitation of
raising question. These difficulties, does not allow me to learn effectively during session. Some
of difficulties face by me during this session in learning new things and its cause are as follows:
 Lack of Management of time: Problems occur in managing of time which make this
session difficult for me as I got late for session. This is one of difficult problems as there
are lot of pressure on me of work. This pressure does not allow me to work effectively
and concentrate on learning. Managing time is important for students as it create various
problems for a person. Due to lack of routine and punctuality in life, it creates negative
effect on my learning ability and also on quality of my work. Due to lack of management
of time, I face difficulty in taking classes, learning modules and completing assignment.
 Notes: In completing of this session, I got various difficulties due to notes. As of lack of
writing skills I have not prepared notes which provide me brief of session and module
(Park and Hill, 2018). Notes are important for a student in academic life and is part of
academic skills which helps a person to learn everything effectively. I have not prepared
notes which create problems for me as I was not able to learn what have discussed in
important session related to module. It is one of difficulty face by me in completion of
module and it can create negative impact on my grades. It can also affect on learning as
well as knowledge of a person.

 Hesitation in raising question: One of difficulty I face during this module is hesitation
in raising question due to introvert nature. Not able to ask question in class or session can
cause problems to a person as they can ask for problems and confusion occur in their
minds related to topic. I got a problem in learning of module but was not able to ask
question during session due to hesitation. This condition not does allow me to focus on
class and create impact on my learning. This hesitation does not allow me to speaking
front of people and make me nervous for my work. This also reflect lack of confidence
level of me while speaking in group of people.
Overcome these difficulties and strategies
There are various difficulties face by a person in learning new things. In this module, I have face
various problems while learning new things (Pham and Saito, 2019). Some of problem face by
me is hesitation while raising question, lack of writing skills for making notes, lack of time
management skills. To overcome these problems, it is important for me to identify problems. I
also need to development various strategies to overcome of these issues. Hard work and practices
also require for solving issues and difficulties face by me during this session. Some of strategies
which helps me overcome these problems are as follows:
 Time management: Time management refers to a skill which is important for planning
as well as controlling for managing time effectively. Time management is one of skills
which is used for management time effectively in order to eliminate unnecessary activity
and use precious time of important activities. I will use time management skills which
helps me to manage my time effectively in order to focus on my goals. With these skills,
I will attend session effectively and focus on my skills. It does not create pressure on me
of other work and make me concentrate session.
 Writing skills: Writing skills is one of important skills of a person for academic as well
as employability skills (Succi and Canovi, 2020). Writing skills helps me to make
effectively notes which provide me brief to learn effectively about classes. It also
enhances my knowledge as well as learning and provide me opportunity to increase my
grades. Writing skills not only heels me academic life but also important for
employability skills as there are various mail are used by corporate world for conveying
information. This make me capable to improve my skills and knowledge and provide me
opportunity to attain goals.

 Overcome of stage fear: I had fear from speaking in group of people that does not allow
me to interact with new people or to raise question in classes to improve my learning.
These strategies help to me speak with confidence in front of people (Small, Shacklock
and Marchant, 2018). This improve my presentation skills and boost my confidence level
as I overcome of my weakness. This helps to speaks effectively with people and get
opportunity not only in academic life and also professional life. This skill allows me to
put my view point in front of people and take initiative.
CONCLUSION
From above mentioned project report, it can be concluded that employability and academic skills
both are important for a person. Academic skills are those which helps a person in study and
learn new things effectively. These skills improve concertation of a person. There are various
skills developed by a person during this session which include motivation skills, communications
skills team working and presentation skills. These skills help a person in both academic as well
as professional life. There are various difficulties face by a person while learning new things or
developed new skills. To overcome of these difficulties, it is important to identify problems face
by individual. To overcome these problems a person, need to adopt time management skills,
improve writing skills and hard work. Overcome of these difficulties make learning of a person
more effectives and allow them to effectively concentrate on lecturer’s in classroom.
