INTRODUCTION
Academic plagiarism is stealing or copying the words and the idea of the other author and
using it without crediting source in the content written and presenting it as the original and new
idea carried out by existing source.
In the above study the explanation is given to academic plagiarism. And determining the
importance of academic integrity among business environment. Further study carried forward
with the explanation to oral and written communication skills in the business environment. The
study ends with evaluating the necessity of business etiquette in company and importance if
values and rules in the company.
Define academic Plagiarism :
Plagiarism is “stealing & publication” and “wrongful appropriation” of other author's
thoughts, language, expressions and ideas and representing that as their own original work. It is
not a crime but its can be punished in the court as counterfeiting fraud for the cause of copyright
infringement, torts and offence of moral rights(Cronan, Mullins and Douglas, 2018).
Academic Plagiarism occurs when repeated words are used by the writer, where more
than four continuous words are copied from printed source without using any quotation marks or
pointing out the work with references for original source in which the work is presented.
Continuous phrasing of the words without any serious interaction with other author or person's
view, by adding or arguing of the new material is the form of academic plagiarism. Academic
plagiarism can be of many types that can be straight plagiarism, plagiarism while using the
citation, simple and complex plagiarism in using a footnote, plagiarism in paraphrasing and
plagiarism while placing quotations.
Importance of academic integrity for professionalism within the business environment :
Academic integrity means performing right things, when also even no one looked at
them. This implicit the upholding of academic honesty policies which are set by the Bauer
college and University. Academic integrity is vital for many reasons. It helps in developing trust
that one can rely on with whom they are dealing, can trust that they will act honestly and doing
the things which they are prescribed. Trust is the key characteristics of becoming a successful
leader. The business leader develop good reputations by being fair, honestly and trust worthy.
For example, successful leaders understand the importance of acting in business with integrity

important. Graduates will be hired by employers in belief that thy would have a high personal
integrity. The employers would rather invest in development of the human capital of individual
who can have positive influence on the company, and they can easily trust upon them they to
carried forward the mission of company(What is academic integrity and why it is
important,2019).
Developing skills in written and oral communication within the business environment :
Written communication is the communication done within written form where an oral
communication is done verbally. Writing communication skills are important for the business,
and it can be made effective by providing specific examples & data and with the help of action of
proposed items. In business context the written communication must be informative, which helps
reader to focus important points only. It can include appropriate follow-up which helps in going
ahead with activity towards achieving the goals (Paz, Moore and Creel, 2017).
Whereas the verbal communication should be appropriate and in clear verbal manner. It allows
employees to interact with one another and work with the mutual understanding of agreeable
consensus. The verbal communication plays a major role for employers and employees as the
instructions and guide given to employees should be clear, appropriate, using proper tone and
gracefully so that employees can easily understand them and feel valued and work in positive
manner for achieving the organizational goal.
Importance of business etiquette :
Good business etiquette's main is aim to protect business owner or employees from internal or
external rivalry by setting high standard behavior by all. Business etiquette are a set of behavior
where individual person treat respectfully and frame-up good manner in all corporation.
Proper etiquette helps to build strong relationship among management, staff and client. It
requires honesty and fair dealings with everyone(Reyneke and Shuttleworth, 2018).
A good business etiquette promotes positive working atmosphere by giving proper
respect to each other.
A professional business etiquette helps to prevent misunderstanding among management,
staff and client. To communicate clearly and honestly to everyone in professional
manner.

From the above study it states that the plagiarism should be avoided while copying or
interpreting other author's data and author should be credited by providing source in the
documents. This should be strictly followed to avoid penalties. Academic integrity helps the
business to develop the goodwill among the market with the help of fair, honesty and trust
worthiness of their work. The written and oral communication skills should be focused while
conducting business activities this helps the organization to achieve their specific goal
effectively. The values, law and business etiquette helps company to grow with use of ethical
value among business and following the rules & values which helps company to boost up their
employees and satisfy their customers.
