INTRODUCTION
Academic integrity is code of conduct on moral values which needs to be take care by any
students during the course of their work in order to complete their work in an honest
way(Eaton, 2020). This report contains a brief description about academic integrity and its
importance in higher education universities. This report also contains various implications of
academic misconduct which has been observed in most of the cases in universities. In the
second part of the report it contains various steps which are taken by an individual during the
production of game of academic integrity. Later on there are several skills which are
developed throughout the academic year and also during the production of game.
TASK 1
Academic Integrity
Academic integrity refers to the model code of conduct which needs to be followed buy any
academic writer. It is ethical policy of Academy which support the enactment of educational
values with the help of behaviours like avoidance of contract cheating and cheating and
supports maintenance of academic standards with proper honesty and rigour in research and
academic publishing. Any type of academic writing the efforts and pride of a writer and no
writer has a right to cheat or copy their writing as it is wrong with the writer who originally
writes that. In order to protect the right of Writers academic integrity has been developed
which define moral code of ethical policies of Academy (Eaton, 2020). The grandfather of
academic integrity is Don McCabe of United States of America it is because the term
academic integrity has been popularized by this person only. There are several important
academic integrity scholars who include Tracey Bretag of Australia, Cath Ellis of Australia,
Sarah Elaine Eaton of Canada and many more. Academic integrity for students means to
make them learn the values to be in practice of being honest in the academic work they do at
their universities. It also includes being fair to others and take responsibility for the learning
they have at their course in the university.
The importance of academic integrity in higher education
Academic integrity is a very essential part of Higher Education. It helps students in several
ways in order to make them learn at their courses. There are so much of benefits of academic

integrity to the students research Universities and many more persons. Academic integrity
has its importance depends on the person accordingly which are given below:
For students
Academic integrity helps in student to give them a best chance to achieve success by
completing their task or assessments with honesty and a positive attitude (Franclinton,
Karnalim and Ayub, 2020). It is also essential for them as it helped them to avoid bad
consequences such as feeling in the silent or being asked by the University to leave them. It
also helps the students to get knowledge of the degree they have invested their time and effort
which supports them in their chosen field or career.
For university
If students of a University follow academic integrity they will get gemstones from their
Universities who have a good knowledge of the degree that take from the university. It helps
the university to become confident and consistent in their work of providing education and
create trust in their customers for the university. It is also essential for university to have
consistent as well as trustworthy in the standard of their courses and assessments because it
will help them to gain confidence of the community in the people who have take the degree
from the university (FULFORD, 2021). That is why University takes the issue of academic
misconduct on a very serious note.
For new ideas
Academic integrity also involves identification of sources in correct manner in the academic
assessment which is also an essential part for success and generation of new ideas. The
sources help an individual to mark the work and from where the influence of your Idea have
come from which shows the way new knowledge can be built. Sourcing also provide a proper
credit to the people whose ideas have been used in the assessment. At the time of
incorporation of idea of other people it provide new ideas and knowledge to the person for
their future use because it shows that the person have good understanding of the material they
had used.
The implications of academic misconduct
Academic misconduct refers to the actions which are taken on the students who go against
the norms of any school university or other learning Institution in their academic writing.

Academic misconduct is a situation of academic dishonesty or academic fraud or breach of
academic integrity in an organisation (Gottardello and Karabag, 2020). This Academy
misconduct is a serious problem for teachers, universities as well as students also. Please
academic misconduct has a very serious consequence which needs to be faced to the person
who is involved in this academic misconduct. These actions can involve loss of future
projects to the university's fines or any lines of loss you which are attracted towards the
university school or any other organisation involved (Kassil and Ball, 2021). Universities are
very serious about this academic misconduct because it can ruin the life or future of the
students they are teaching. It is not good for students also because the students who are
involved in neutralization to justify this cheating have more chances to engage in this kind of
cheating and the future which give them a life of dishonesty. This will also affect their
knowledge which is required to attend the degree and they would not have it in future
whenever they need in their jobs to use that. If it has been taken in economic terms it also
causes under production of knowledge because it is the job of Professor to produce
knowledge to the students but that is not attained by the students which further affect the
economy of a country. Dealing with this academic misconduct is one of the most parts of
career in education. 77% of the Cadbury agree on this point that dealing with the cheating in
student is one of the worst aspects of the job.
TASK 2
The steps taken and difficulties encountered in producing the game
There are various steps which have been taken in order to produce the game of academic
integrity. There are some questions which are asked from the students to be answered by
them in the game for which option have been provided. For this purpose there is a need to
prepare a questionnaire which needs to be filled by the students. As the Kitna Re is to be
provided then it must be taken care that the quiz is should be a closed type and should not
contain any kind of explain answers. This requires a proper research of students and
academic integrity and academic misconduct which has been followed in the university. The
next step is of Technical members who are liable to prepare the screen according to the
instructions which are given to them. This requires a proper deep knowledge of Technology
which creates various difficulties in designing of the game (Lancaster, 2020). After this there
is a high need to design the game which should be design in a simple and sober manner but
an attractive way to show the creativity of the designer of game. The game needs to be

designed in such a manner that it is easily understandable by the users so that University does
not have to take so much of efforts to give a proper knowledge of the game and take answers
of their students.
Skills learned in the academic year and those emphasized in producing game.
There are several skills which are learn during this academic year and will help an individual
to achieve success in their future. Among those some of them are learnt in the academic
writing and others are from emphasizing in producing that game. Some of the skills which
have been learnt during the game as well as academic year are given below:
Research skills: In order to prepare the questionnaire it requires a proper research to be
conducted so that an effective questionnaire can be prepared which helps the university to
take effective answers from the students (Najjar, Maher and Mohseni, 2021). In order to
complete assessment also resource has been used which helps an individual to gain various
knowledge as well as attain research skills. Research skills are very useful for any individual
to grow in their career because it helps them to research on each in every aspect of their life
so that they can have a better decision making in their life.
Organising Skills: As to provide a better game to the students the elements which are used in
designing the game are to be properly organised full stop this organised element helps to
improve organising skills in an individual. Apart from this there are various people who are
involved in the game design process which needs to be organised in a proper manner to have
effective results. This also helps to attain organising skills of people which is very essential
for the career growth of an individual.
Creativity: Designing a game is a creative process which needs a lot of creativity in order to
design a game for various students. This production of game helps to improve creativity in an
individual which is also an essential part for their life. There are various parts of a game
which needs to be completed in a creative manner to attract more and more people on the
game. This provides an experience to the individual of game design and improves creativity
in them.
Technical knowledge: Designing process is a technical work which needs to be completed
with the help of technical team. All the technical team helps an individual to design a game
but there are various types of knowledge which has been taken by an individual during the
technical process. Designing the game for the university helps the individual to improve their

technical knowledge which will help them for the in their careers (Usick, Miron and Stoesz,
2020).
Communication Skills: The academic year helps to improve the communication skills of an
individual as there are various assessments or activities which are going on in the whole
academic year which helps an individual to develop communication in effective manner. This
academic year helps the individual to improve their communication skills in many ways.
Time management skills: In order to provide the game in timely manner there is a shortage
of time to complete the game. The shortage of time helps the individual to improve their time
management skills as they need to complete the work in the provided period of time. Not
only during the product during the production not only during the production of this game but
also so do during the whole academic year and individual is able to learn time management
skills.
CONCLUSION
From the all above discussion it has been concluded that academic integrity is an essential
element which needs to be taken care by each and every student in their education. It is also
very essential for Universities to take this academic integrity on serious note. There are
various steps which are taken by universities for the academic misconduct such as imposition
of fine resignation from the semester and so many other steps in order to have more integrity
in the academic work provided to the students. With the use of came there are various
questions which helps the university to know that there is students know the meaning of
academic integrity or what they understand from that. There are various skills which are
developed by an individual during the production of the game which had also been discussed.
