INTRODUCTION
Academic honesty refers to moralistic code or the ethics policy of the academics. It was
was famous by Don McCabe of US, known as grandfather of academic honesty. Another major
academic honesty advocates and scholars consists the Tracey Bretag and many others.
Academic honesty aids enactment of beliefs of education by behaviour like the avoidance of
cheating, contract cheating and plagiarism and also maintaining the standards of academic,
rigour & honesty and academic publication(Ellis and et, al., 2020). This report includes about the
intro of academic honesty along with importance of the academic honesty in the high education.
Next the discussing impacts of academic wrongdoing will also be done. Further the reflection on
steps interpreted & challenges combat in making of the game for the project 2 ,with it reflection
of skills you have learnt in this academic year and they are which are emphasized in making of
game.

SECTION 1
Describing the academic honesty
Academic honesty is guiding principle for all activities of academics in the universities
and all members are expected for acting according to the principle. In the late 18 time period
academic honesty was correlated closely to codes of academic honour. They were daily monitor
by scholars and environment cultural time (Bretag, 2018). Honour code focuses on power, pride,
self-esteem and duty. Ant act boosting rise or making of skills in the persons is objective. So
academic honesty is closely tied to appearance and status of rising character of person. Any act
academic honesty performed for maintaining the name known as the essential end yields.
Academic honesty refers to honesty in others work and studies in which the person uses the idea
of other people as the part of presenting the arguments. Plagiarising means the presentation of
the someone work as the own work even with their consent. It is totally unacceptable and is
treated by Universities as the academic misconduct, comparing to the cheating in exams or data
fabricating. If plagiarism is found, it not only makes students liable to the serious penalties, but
raises the questions about personal honesty. But sometimes what is appearing to be intentional
plagrism may be poor practice of academics arising from lack of understanding of standards way

of acknowledging source of words, diagrams and ideas in the work. Person is asked for signing
the submitted work for showing that you have read and understood University regulations on the
academic misconduct. Multiple work submission of the self-work is not itself considered as the
academic misconduct. Material submission has been submitted on the past occasion for the
different assessments but unlikely for being academic misconduct (Eaton, 2021).
Discussion of importance of academic honesty in high educational activity
Its vital for making clear to students about policies around the instructions committed-ness
to the academic honesty for preventing instance of cheating, plagiarism, agreement and
various other form of academic dishonesty. So if academic dishonesty is completely
punitory, make of the misconducts alone for avoiding, learners still do not understand why
is it so crucial for fostering the original attribution, ideas and other academic honesty
forms. By ensuring the learners not only moves them by academic dishonesty because of
punishment so towards the academic honesty aids the lifelong learning and holds academic
reputation of the institution. Here are some of the factors which states that why is academic
honesty in higher teaching.
Academic honesty supports opportunities of learning- Shortcut solution such as
plagiarism, test banks and contract cheating take way the opportunities of learning
for the pupil. When working is not of learners they aren't putting the primary ideas
on the paper. Learners loose opportunities of receiving the feedback which is
accurate to the requirements and result supports then might need to ahead the
journey of learning(Jamieson, 2020).
Proper assessment of learners learning is depending on the academic honesty-
When learner’s responses are not of the owns, then it is hopeless for the teachers
for providing with proper learning assessment and give reviews or take the familiar
changes for instructing the course of study.
Honour for the academic honesty begins with the academic honesty- Academic
misconduct disrespect academic activity of the other and interruption the trust.
Honour is the qualitative components which have long tenure effects in life age-

The most common consequences of academic dishonesty are penalties which the universities
may impose on offending student. Further there are other consequences also such as ethical,
social, serious moral and academic concerns stated below-
Social consequences- The moral consequences of cheating, consisting the habit
forming nature of the misconduct and its evaluation of the hard work, fairness and
honesty. Habitual nature of cheating indicates that those who have cheated in the
academic activities and think they may escape and continue the cheating work,
family life and various other aspects of life. In long run this attitude may be harmful
for the cheater but to everyone else impacted by the actions.
Loss of intellectual property- Academic misconduct like plagiarism which is equivalent of
stealing the other person’s property (Ard and Ard, 2019). The original work is created by
someone else and when the other person uses it without the permission, the author loses the
intellectual property, possible income and recognition.
Inaccurate assessment- When the students plagiarize or cheat in the academic activities,
instructors can’t assess accurately the students’ performance or evaluate the knowledge, skills
and applications essential in field. As the outcome, the institutions can grant credentials to ones
who do not deserve and have serious practical’s ramifications in place of work (Cooksey and
McDonald, 2019).
Legal consequences- At the times, instructors may be involved the learners in the
projects which are granted to the universities for providing the students with
opportunities for working on the real life projects. If the students plagiarize or cheat
in these projects the sponsors of the projects may takes formal actions against them.
These actions can be of fines, loss of future projects to university. These actions have

serious consequences, as they ruin the reputation of university and opportunity loss
for the other students (Moriarty and Wilson, 2022)
SECTION 2
Reflection of the steps taken in making of the game
Here are steps I took for producing the game-
Planning the video game- I planned the game as it is the root of every game. For
the planning I wrote some questions which I need to address like- what kind of
game we are producing? will it be 3D or 2D? who is the target audience? and
many others. It was the hardest part of the development of game.
Pre-production- The next step was developing the game and I brainstormed how
to give life to many ideas in the phase of planning. I met with the writers,
engineers, artists and developers for making the game.
Production- My effort, time and resources was spent on the development of the
game in this stage. It was very challenging as I designed the character model,
worked on the audio design for bringing life to the game.
Testing- Features and mechanic of the game are required to be tested for the
quality and I checked all the bugs and game features to know whether it is working
or not. I contacted the play testers for this purpose and they checked all the game
thoroughly.
Pre-launch- This step was very stressful as I self-doubted myself whether \my
game will be success or not. Before the main launch formal beta was released and
the game need some marketing, so I used social media platforms for this.
Launch- The finish line is now very close and game is to be launched, I again
checked all the bugs in the game and told the developers to make the game big free.
Post launch- It was the most exciting time for me as my hard work of years was
finally paying off but still a lot of work needs to be done. It is not uncommon for
the game to be launched without any bugs so my first few months after the launch
were spend on identification and solving the bugs(Tatum, 2022).

Difficulties faced in the making of game
I faced some difficulties in game development which are mentioned below-
Finding of the right concept- As any games success is dependent on the planned
marketing strategies and without any study of the market the demand for game is
hard to find as if wrong game is developed then it will fail.
Publishing- I encountered this problem after the game production, as how will the
potential users of the game will come to know about the game. So I had to plan the
strategy for the marketing of the game.
Maintenance of the gaming app- Only developing the game is not enough for the
success but regular maintenance of the game is also needed and I have to check
the bugs, do changes in the visuals, game meta and many others.
Reflection on skills learned in this academic year
Here are some skills which I learned this year-
Academic skills- This is the essential skill for the individual for having better
understanding of the academic learning and concepts. By the support of the game I
has enhanced the academic attributes so I took help of offline and online resources
for having knowledge of basic cognitive process. I have created the presentation for
the improved understanding of self by which I was successful for game developing.
It aids in developing of persons so I may get entire profitability altogether.
Motivational skills- In the game making, I got encouraged for my work and learning
as I was effective in completing my working and lead for having better making
approach of market. By it, I have learned new methods of operational so I may sure
the better work of personal. It aids me in self ahead learning by which I become
more efficient.
Good representation skills - I have worked on my representation attributes by
working on game as I do non have proper representation attributes in public simply
after prospering implementing of the game, I have presented game in the college to

the attributes to image of learners. During work of game and project, there exist different
attributes which has enhanced. Prime purpose of producing game is for avoiding fouls and unfair
exercises. Academic honesty is most vital in the scholarly or vocation career.
