Introduction
The study is focused towards the analysis of the attendance of students on the basis of a
survey. Many students fail to attend their classes and this reflects upon their academic
performances. The information gathered from a survey conducted among 63 student respondents
is used to determine the outlook of students concerning absenteeism in class. The study is
focused on the implications that can be derived from the survey.
Details
The analysis of the survey points to certain essential implications concerning the outlook
of students in regards to attending their academic classes. Most of the respondent agreed to
attend more than 61% of their classes. Around 62% of the students were found to attend 81 to
100% of the classes. Moreover, students mostly agreed that their attendance remain same for
most of the classes. 41% of the students claimed that their attendance remained same for most of
the classes and 46% of the students claimed that their attendance remained same for all of the
classes. Most students were also found to consider the course and knowledge of the professors
are significant reasons for not attending classes. Students also mostly correctly answered the
questions in relation to how much students with more attendance or lesser attendance faired in
their academics. A significant strength of the study was the many options that were provided to
the students giving them more opportunities to express their views. However, a significant
weakness of the study was the lack of demographic data being collected. There was very little
knowledge about the kind of students that responded to the surveys. However, there are greater
opportunities that are created for the understanding of student behaviors through similarly
formed and used surveys in the future Studies suggest that student attendances are very

much related to the type of classes that are being provided by the universities. The academies
that provide better growth opportunities to the disabled students have witnessed greater student
attendances (Bleemer & Zafar, 2018). Additionally, students have shown greater interest in
attending classes if they have greater implications towards their careers. Academic institutions
have improved the kind of classes that they provide to the students in order to increase their
attendances. Moreover, students are looking forwards to classes that help them learn their
subjects better. Students are now focused on studying what matters most for them (Prada &
Urzúa, 2017).
Conclusions
The conclusions derived from the study point to the fact that the students are now more
inclined towards learning more and attending classes. It was seen from the survey that students
are now more focused towards attending classes. The perception of students regarding the
positive results of attending classes are also being created.
Recommendations
The academic institutions should focus towards recruiting professors that have more
knowledge and experience in teaching students. The focus should be on more interactive classes
for the students. Students should be given more opportunities to have their say in the classes.
Academic curriculums should be planned in ways that incorporate more practical exercises. This
would be beneficial for the students as they will be able to learn more. It is important that classes
are held daily and an effective progression is maintained.
