Introduction
Academic integrity is the concept which refers to the avoidance of cheating, plagiarism and
any type of academic misbehaviour and misconducts. This can be done in class or the workplace
which can be identified by a teacher or a manager. Basically, it is mentioned and seen at the
educational institutions and it can be noticed in some of the mission statements and process and
policies (Alharbi, Kuhn, and Morphet, 2020). In this given report there is an introduction of the
academic integrity also it contains its importance, then its incudes some of the implication which
are in academic misconducts. In addition, it consists of steps and difficulties which comes under
producing a game and skills which are being raised while making a game.
Task 1
Introduction and Description of academic integrity
Academic integrity is the most important for the universities and students both. As it refers
to the voidance of any of the misconducts and plagiarism which is doing by students and any of
the employees at the workplace. It refers to the cheating on the assignment and assessment which
are being prepared by students (Coppock, and et.al., 2020). Then plagiarism is the copy on of
someone lese work. And then next is academic misconducts. Academic integrity focus on the
honesty and well being of the students so that they could not copy from other students and
should perform their own work honestly. There is an example- as when students are doing
assignment then he is responsible for writing a report and assignment and not copying from other
sources and author and should able to submit their work honestly.
Importance of academic integrity
Academic integrity is very important for the students and universities both. As this helps
the students in submitting their work honestly and help universities in making their reputation
effectively in the country (Al-Harbi, and Troudi, 2020). Students who are provided true and
honest knowledge, this shows that how responsible they are with their universities and their
assignments. So, universities should make sure that their wok should not be copied by any other
students and they should submit their work honestly. However, if universities finds that students
who are copying and doing plagiarism then they should be punished and should be thrown out of
class. So, this becomes a reason for the students as they think universities are very strict on
avoiding plagiarism and misconducts so they automatically take universities rules and regulation

seriously and avoids cheating and misconducts. This will help them in gaining of the knowledge
and skills both. And they could learn more about the task and assignments. Universities are
sometimes very strict in protecting some of the students who are honest and very serious about
their assignments: here are some of the importance of academic integrity:
Students: It is important for the students of academic integrity because they are one who
are preparing assignments (Eaton, and Dressler, 2020). This can impact their values and beliefs.
At one hand, behaviour and values and institutional missions affects universities networks. On
the next hand, relationships with the friends and classmates depends on the being loyal with them
and do not cheat on them. And if there is any miscount or cheating with them, then this may
result in loss of friendships. It is impotent of the students to keep positive environment in the
class and avoids cheating and any type of misconducts. They are responsible for treating fairly
and honestly with the other person.
Universities: It is also importance for universities as academic integrity is important for
them. Universities are working on building image and reputation of them in the country among
competitors. So, for this they make sure there is very less plagiarism and cheating and their
university. There could be no cheating and misconducts between students because ultimately this
results in decreasing of their reputation. For this, universities punished those students who are
doing misconducts and cheating and throwing out of universities.
Employers: Integrity of workplace depends upon the values and beliefs that can results in
gaining of employee. It can be important for the employer and to motivate and giving direction
to the employees and monitoring their performance (Golden, and Kohlbeck, 2020). Employers
should also focus on the employees that they could not do cheat and could not misconducts in the
organisation. because this will result in bring negative environment of the company or at the
workplace.
Implications of academic misconducts
Academic misconducts and cheating are when students take full advantage of any person
and copying from their assignments. This refers to academic misconducts. There are various
components of which can be done by students which are discussed below:
Cheating: Cheating is the academic misconduct which is seen in the student’s life. It is
said to be a cheating when on students cheats his assignments and assessments from another
student (Griffiths, and Kreisel, 2020). This ca be done at the time of solving any difficult

situations and copying the exam and assignments. There are some of the universities who work
on this reducing of the cheating from student and some just punished students for this
misconduct. s
Plagiarism: Plagiarism is when one student presents other work as his work without
getting any of the knowledge and skills. It can be seen at the time of doing an assessment of the
universities. Example- some of the students just copy their assignment from other students and
let other students also copy them. But later on, when it was comes in front then this sometimes
declared as fraud by the universities and they get punished students (Laidlaw, and et.al., 2020).
This could risk the future of students because by this they are not getting any of the knowledge
and skills. Sometimes students did not provide proper author and writer details and references of
doing their assignments. And if his is done then many of the universities so not provide
admissions to the students. And every university is taking a previous check on the not taking
advantageous of other students.
Misconducts: miscounts are when students at the time of studying should not behave well
and honest. They are not getting serious about their assignments and not being fairly with their
students’ assignments. The major purpose of academic integrity is to reduce misconducts and
students should follow all rules and regulations and reduce misconducts (Thomas, and Jeffers,
2020). This academic integrity provides full opportunity of behave honestly in the class and
behaving better with the other students.
Task 2
Reflection on the steps taken and difficulties encountered in producing a game.
It is to be reflected that while producing a game, I face many of the difficulties and
implication in understanding the requirement of the game. The game should be based on how to
avoid the cheating and plagiarism in the student’s life. So, for this I have to focus on producing
of a game and this brings me longer to produce a game. Then I face certain issue regarding my
financial problem and regarding my team also. Sit becomes difficult to produce a game and
change according to the requirements of students. The major difficulty which I ace is that I have
never ever played this game before so this becomes difficult for me to produce this type of game
and this becomes confusing. I have to make a game according to the rules and regulations of the

academic integrity and also by this student should gain some knowledge and skills. This game
will hep the students in reducing their plagiarism and cheating.
I have made some of the exercises which helps students in giving a long answer and not to
copying them from anybody else. They have to do those exercises on that basis. My most of the
important and frustrating task is that I have to deal with my leaders and this becomes very
difficult task for me because these views are very different from my views and this results in
facing some of the difficulty for me. In this game I have to concentrate on providing time limit to
the students as to how much time should be given to the students in making answers of the given
question. So, this becomes difficulty for me to select a time limit. So, these are some of the
difficulties which I face and also, I have learned many more things about the avoidance of
plagiarism and cheating from universities and student’s life.
Reflection on the skills that have learned this academic year
While producing a game, I have faced many of the difficulties, but from these difficulties
also have learned so many of the skills and gaining more knowledge. This helps me in getting me
prepare for the job for my future. This gives me opportunity to learn more and avoid cheating
and any type of misconducts. I have gained so many of the skills like problem solving skills,
communication skills and IT skills md time management skills. As these skills will helps me in
my near future to get my job faster and making conversion with somebody very effectively. In
relation with IT skills, I have to develop a game which could help students in reducing
plagiarisms and misconducts. Then another decision making skills and problem solving skills I
have learnt more because I have to make decisions regarding many of the questions and answers
and this results in increasing of the knowledge and skills of mine.
Decisions making skills nd problem solving skills will help me in my near future related to
my career and my job (Zhang, and et.al., 2020). In addition, then I have learnt communication
skills and time management skills. As communication is when I have talking to my teams and
other members of my teams. So, my communication skills become better as this is considers as
the most important skills because this helps in increasing of the confidence. Then my time
management skills while giving time duration to the students and making a game in a given
standard time. This helps me well maintaining of my time. Then I have developed how to present
a game in front of everyone and how to convey my information’s to anyone. By having these

game, students will be able to reduce their plagiarism and they work on their assignments very
effectively nd honestly.
Conclusion
From the above it is analysed that academic integrity one of the most important part of every
students and it is more important for the students and higher education. It is important for all the
students and universities to avoid all the plagiarism and misconducts from the student’s life and
their assignment. This will result in wellbeing of the students and increasing reputation of the
university as well. It becomes the responsibility of university to make sure that students are not
doing any of the misconducts and if they do then they should take actions against it. Then in next
task there is a reflection of skills and difficulties which are being faced at the time of producing a
game.
