fair way. For making a successful career and building a good
reputation in society and in academics student is required to follow
certain rules and responsibilities. They need to maintain academic
integrity which means that showing of honest and moral behaviour
towards academics. The integrity allows student to gain knowledge
and build new ideas. It also helps in creating value in terms of trust,
honest, fairness and respect. When student maintain integrity it helps
in their personal growth as well. This is because they are able to work
in fair manner. Hence, integrity helps in daily life of student as well.
They are able to gain knowledge and work in creative way. Besides,
they respect work of other student and are able to build trust. They
get engaged in doing misconduct in their assignment and work. This
also enable in promoting education in University. Student respond to
it by doing work in fair manner. But if integrity is not followed then
it impact on student growth and career in negative way. They do not
work in fair way and due to that they go on wrong path. In addition to
it, their knowledge is also hampered as they learn things which is
wrong. Furthermore, university can impose penalties on student and
can even terminate them. So, their career growth is affected in
negative way. Alongside, their cost and time is wasted as they have to
do same work again in fair manner.
In view of Denisova-Schmidt (2017), plagiarism is
also a misconduct as in this student copy from other sources such as
internet and paste in their own work. This shows lack of knowledge
and affect on relationship with professor. The plagiarism may occurs
either intentionally or unintentionally. Thus, it is essential to work
properly so that plag does not come. This is also considered as part of
academic misconduct if there is high percentage of plagiarism.
