The integrity also set guidelines for university to ensure that no unethical practices are
being followed. The students has to adhere all guidelines in their studies. Moreover, rules also
binds tutors to not to engage or tolerate unethical practices. However, in the view of Imam,
Grose and Mazid (2020), there are certain challenges which is faced by students such as trust,
honesty, etc. this leads to doing academic misconduct. Similarly, plagiarism is also a type of
misconduct as it refers to take ideas, copying others work, etc. It is common challenge that is
faced by students. Plagiarism can be of different types such as unintentional, complete, source
based, etc. this shows that student has copied ideas or text of another student.
This impact on integrity of student is negative way. It shows that they have worked in
unethical way. Besides, there are other penalties imposed as well on them. They might get
terminated or suspended from university (Stacey 2019 ). Therefore, it impact negatively on their
studies and also leading to wastage of their time and money.
