TASK 1
Designing a game for students that develops strategies for avoiding plagiarism and academic
misconduct
Academic misconduct is defined as unfair means of attempting the academics and working on it
within higher education. The game which is being taken for the avoidance of plagiarism and
academic misconduct is Ludo (Awasthi, 2019). Ludo is the strategy board game for two to four
players in which the players race their dice from start to finish according to the rolls which
comes in the single die when thrown. Like other games, Ludo is also an interesting game which
is being played with friends and colleagues.
In this game, there are four players who throw their dice when rolled once. The roller
begins the game. The chance of rolling the die passes from person to person in the clockwise
direction (Bhatia and et.al., 2021). To start the game, the payer must get a six or one on the dice.
Unless they get a six one, they are allowed to play and get a chance to start the game. If they do
not get six or one then they have to wait for their chance to come in the next round. Apart from
this, there are some rules to the game.
Rules and Conditions for playing ludo are — There are certain rules in playing ludo which are
described as -
When the player rolls the dice and gets out by the other player in the game, then that
player is required to provide the details of what is academic integrity.
On the next turn when any other player's chance is skipped while playing the game then
that player is required to explain what is meant by academic misconduct (Fickle, 2019).

If the player gets out by any other player while rolling the dice, then that person is told to
define why academic integrity is important in the University.
No player will get second chance after the dice is being rolled, and they do not achieve
six or one in the starting. But there is double chance to the player when they get six.
Some questions are asked to the players when they are out of the game. This depends upon the
colour of dice and then questions are framed. The questions are -
Red — What is academic misconduct?
Blue — What are the five main cause of academic misconduct? (Zinken and et.al., 2021).
Yellow — Why is academic integrity important?
Green — What do you mean by plagiarism?
