INTRODUCTION
Academic integrity can be described as the expectation of students, teachers, researchers as well
as other members to act with honesty, responsibility, trust, respect and fairness. It is one of the
important components for the students during their academic life as it motivates them to study in
an effective manner (Aplin-Snider and et. al., 2021). This project report includes a description of
academic integrity and its importance. It also includes the implication of academic misconduct.
It reflects about the steps to be taken by individuals for the project and the difficulties
encountered. Moreover, it includes reflection on skills to be developed during the academic
years.

at academic life. It includes the application of different values in the practice of the work of the
University by being honest, fares to others, full feeling responsibility related to learning and also

the university to give rewards and credit to students for maintaining honesty in their work. In
this, the responsibility of students to demonstrate academic integrity by acknowledging others
whose information is used, use of information as per privacy laws and copyright, conducting
different research in an ethical manner and not using others work as their own (Cole Shelley and
Swartz, 2018). Academic integrity is considered as an act that consists of values like respect,
fairness, trust, honesty as well as responsibility. It is essential for students to maintain academic
integrity in education as it assists them to improve their knowledge as well as learning. Ensuring
study and learning in academic life is require maintaining academic integrity that helps a person
to avoid cheating and other academic misconduct. It enables them to improve their professional
knowledge and practices required for success in their future career. Maintaining academic
integrity in an organisation is essential for a person as it helps them to avoid different academic
misconduct like plagiarism, cheating, unfair activities and others. Academic integrity is
maintained by both students as well as teachers. It is essential for both of them as it improves the
image of the University in the marketplace and also engages students in different academic

Importance of academic integrity
It is essential for the university to maintain academic integrity in higher education that allows

education, motivate them to complete the work with integrity and honesty, taking strict action
against academic misconduct. This academic integrity makes students engage in different
activities like completion of the assignment, giving presentations, participation and group
discussion and debates (Ellis and et. al., 2020). It also allows teachers to provide, share and
develop knowledge for students required for the attainment of professional goals. It is important
for both universities and students for different reasons which are mentioned below:
Values in students: Maintaining academic integrity in university allows them to focus on
developing values and improving the learning capabilities of students. Academic integrity
force students to consider fairness, honesty, respect as well as responsibility while
completing any academic work. Academic integrity is focusing on ensuring the overall
development of students and allowing them to implement different values in their day-to-
day life. It will allow them to improve the performance of the students which is required
by them in higher education.
Developing future opportunities for students: Academic integrity is also required by
universities for offering the future opportunity to students. It enables students to develop
a positive image at the University and also allowed them to focus on studies that provide
them with good grades. It will help the student in the future at time of finding
employment opportunities (Gewirtz and Cribb, 2020). Students to get extra marks for the
credit of academic integrity. It also creates a good impression in minds of employees that
will help students to take advantage of opportunities.

their skills as well as capabilities. It allows teachers to improve the knowledge and
learning of students in a manner that allow them to attain career goals. It also allows

of these academic misconduct are mentioned below:

fraud committed during the completion of the assignment. It includes the use of any
device and other material the university which is restricted there during the examination.
Moreover, it also includes copying others work or communicating with others during the

alteration of information or fabrication is academic misconduct which makes a person fail
to prove their honesty in context to academic obligation. There should be no use of false

project. Explanations of some of these difficulties related to the project are mentioned below:
Lack of time: It is a problem which occurs during the completion of the project. Meeting the
deadline of the project is one of the important components for the business but we are finding it
difficult to meet the deadline as we have fewer times (Kong, Kwok and Poon, 2021).
Conflicts: Conflict is also a problem that occur during the process of game designing.
Due to designing of the game, different conflicts occur in the team which makes it
difficult for us to complete the project. All members have different option in the context
to designing of the game. It makes it difficult for the team to design the game.
Complexities in management: Management is also an issue occur during the completion
of the project. In order to complete the project in a systematic manner, it is important for
the team to manage the project in an effective manner.
Reflect on the skills have learned this academic year
During the academic year I have developed different types of skills which will help me to ensure
my personal and professional development. These skills has also developed by me during the
process of designing game for academics to avoid academic misconduct. Skill development is
important process for a student which allowed them to enhance they skills, capabilities, learning
as well as knowledge. It will help me to improve my efficiency for doing a work and also
increase my value in the market (Sefcik, Striepe and Yorke, 2019). As a result, I am able to get
good career opportunity in future. Explanation of some of these skills developed by me during
my academic life are mentioned below:
Team working skills: During this face of designing game, I have developed strong
teamworking skills. In order to complete the assignment, I have worked with other
students. In order to attain goals and objectives of this work, I ensure proper coordination
among team. I have learnt that in order to work with others a person need to accept
differences among teams and also needs to ensure proper coordination which enable team
to focus on attainment of goals instead of conflicts take place among them members.

skills. Presentation is one of the important skills which allow a person to present ideas
thoughts and opinions with a PowerPoint. Presentation skills is not limited to giving a
presentation but it also includes ways in which a person carries out themselves.
Throughout my academic life, I have given different type of presentations on different
topics (Sheard and et. al., 2018). These presentations include an individual presentation
