INTRODUCTION
Academic integrity is a matter of moral value and honesty while doing academic performance. It
shows concern regarding others work and gives them their rights and credit for making use of
their ideas and work. An individual must have a sense about academic integrity while performing
in university. This report is going to present the importance of academic integrity for higher
education and also discuss its implication on misconduct (Badger, 2020). The section 2 of the
report will going to reflect the problems and difficulties has faced during the game development
in order to make others aware about their academic misconduct and its consequences.

Introduction including a description of Academic Integrity
The term integrity is known for the honesty and compliance of moral values which makes an
individual concern about others and does not indulge into any misconduct. At an educational
level, the integrity must be developed in every person whether in teaching and learning
committee and every authority needs to be honest and fair about what they do. University
requires all the respect and all the integrity of fair value and morals while giving student’s tasks
and projects and expect the same in return. Therefore, academic integrity is a matter of being fair
and honest about one's work and does not indulge into any cheating and copy others work. A
degree without an integrity is useless and will not worth for further future development of a
student (da Silva, 2020). Academic integrity reflects working as per University Rules and norms
by being a responsible student about all the moral and values of honesty. Academic integrity
does not promote any act of Plagiarism fabrication and false act to show the performance in a
wrongful manner. Therefore, a student must take all the values and responsibilities while
studying in a University. It has said that cheating others work will not benefit the student for

their own future . as a knowledge once get copied is not worth to satisfy personal goals and
AIMS that a student expect to learn from the university. If any student come into contact of
academic misconduct and not obey the rule of academic integrity, they will go to suffer serious
cause on their education and future. According to the ICAI, academic integrity defines with its
values which are discussed below:
Honesty: An individual must be honest in their work while preparing for learning teaching and
researching. Honesty shows the integrity and concern of truth regarding personal work.
Trust: The academic criteria are depending on the truth. There must be the environment of truth
in an academic level in orders to give and take ideas in a free manner and will eliminate any
consequence of integrity in working
Fairness: All the academic administrations obliged to accept the standard of fairness. Working
Fairley give raise to personal satisfaction and boost interaction in a clear and transparent way
(Drach, 2020). All the students must get aware about the work they assigned are in a fair manner
as it does not involve any discrimination or personal support to any other student.
Responsibility: A student and all the other academic and administration need to acknowledge
the responsibility by not accepting and any unfair work or misconduct. Everyone needs to act as
a responsible person to support the work with integrity.
Respect: It shows that a student needs to respect the point of view and ideas of others. Respect
will maintain a healthy environment and give others credit of their work with full honesty and
accountability.
A discussion of the importance of academic integrity in higher education
Academic integrity is a matter of working according to the rules and responsibility that are set by
the University. It maintains a fair and honest behavior of a student towards others and for self
development. If a student get indulge in unfair and misconduct act into University they will lead
to face many consequences and challenges into present as well as future. They may lose their
education visa and get suspend from the university for minimum 3 years (Eaton, Crossman, and
Edino, 2019). This will impact on their job and career life and student will not be able to present
in an accurate manner. So that, academic integrity is an important aspect to secure individual’s
future by being a responsible person in their working. Any act of misconduct and cheating will

lead to put a thumbnail on student final performance. If they want to get a good job in today's
competitive environment no organization will accept the person who is not honest and fair in
their values. Dishonesty is not accepted at all into any work life. So that academic integrity plays
a vital role for a student to behave and work in a right manner. Also, by being Indulge into any
act of cheating and copying others work will not increase their capabilities and knowledge which
will affect their career and being a hurdle to get growth and development. Integrity teaches a
student about its role and responsibility as an individual to be trustworthy and honest so that
people get keen to work with them and make Peer relations. The concept of academic integrity
will act as a development of moral values within the student to make them capable of
understanding what is right and what is wrong (Hammersley, 2020). Over all a student will
become own decision maker and responsible mature person who knows their rights and others
values also. University gives opportunity to the students to enhance their knowledge and skills in
order to prepare themselves for success. The education and time involved in to University will
not worth it it's not done as per the value of academic integrity. Therefore, it is the first and
foremost hue towards development and success in increasing the skills required for
employability and leaving the university with a good name in self-image.
Discuss the implications of academic misconduct
When a student is not completing their work and not behaving into right appropriate manner
undertaking the values of moral honesty and fairness into their work. This lead to breaking up
the rules of academic integrity and the student will be liable to bare consequences of academic
misconduct. It is the kind of obligation and rules which are not fulfilled by the student. There are
a lot of consequences of academic misconduct which includes suspension of education visa, a
student may suspend from the university for up to 3 years and cannot take admission into other
University also. Any act of misconduct will lead to impact on overall life of a student.
Plagiarism: it is a kind of unethical practice and academic misconduct. Plagiarism is known as
copy and paste others work for self benefit and resist from doing the whole work by own.
Students mainly do not want to complete their projects by their own and copy the whole work of
others. This is an act of Plagiarism that is not accepted by the University and lead to suspension
of student from University. It define violation of academic rights to not use others work by
pretending to be the own (Kersschot, Degtyarova, and Novitzky, 2021). The owner has full rights

to claim compensation and sue the one who has copied their work. Therefore, any act of
plagiarism into files and project of any student will create a hurdle for the whole life.
Cheating: this is the often seen academic misconduct among the students. It is an act of copy the
whole idea and work of other students in the same manner. In order to get good grades and to
pass in the examination, student adopt this way of completing their work by doing cheating
without the permission of the owner. There are many consequences of cheating that a student
may face. Once they cheat in one exam but could not be able to perform in other which will lead
to disclose the truth of unfair activity (Warsono, Sarmini, and Nadiroh, 2018). This will not give
any benefit and growth to their knowledge and will be a matter of academic misconduct.
Collusion: this way of doing work and presentations is most seen among the students. If the
student is not able to perform individual task define the way to get conclusion with other and
complete with a help of group of individual. It is not the right in correct way and not accepted by
the University to collude work which is supposed to be done by individual only (Sarauw, 2021).
It also affects their education and does not increase the knowledge and potential. It is also a
matter of misconduct in the student will suffer its consequences bye not fulfilling their
responsibility of being honest and fair
It has evaluated that above implications are must to adhere by students. No one needs to
try any of the above acts as they have many consequences and penalties included. This will
affect the present it and future of the student which is not easy to regain and rebuilt. Therefore,
these implications need not to undertake by any individual who shows act of dishonesty and
abolishing the rules of Administration.

Reflect on the steps you have taken, and difficulties encountered in producing the game
I assigned a task to produce a game in order to make students aware about the act of Plagiarism
and academic misconduct. I feel honor to present my skills and abilities to produce this game by
undertaking all the necessary research about academic misconduct and its implications. It
worked out as a opportunity for me to being a part of this game but it is not quite easy e to
produce again in an appropriate manner (Rane, Singh, Singh, and Amarsinh, 2020). It requires a

lot of research and thinking skills which I put on introducing an effective game. It is described in
a step by step manner at first I organized all the resources and materials to carry out the research
about Plagiarism and academic misconduct. Then I started developing the game by putting them
into Bullet points and start organized its rules of playing. Therefore it was a difficult task for me
to corporate with every group member. As a group leader, I need to assign different work to my
different team members which I was not able to do at first as it took me a lot of time to analyses
their capabilities and specialization. Therefore, I somehow manage to divide the task in between
group and try to avoid conflict. Every person has a different opinion and ideas which are not easy
to undertake at all as it change the whole scenario of the game. Also I find difficulty in preparing
questions into a continuous manner. Due to the whole chaos, I felt quite exhaust and stressed
about work completion as I was not found any solution of the problem. But it last, I came up
with the solution Tu to divide all the questions to my team member so that they would also get
aware about Plagiarism and academic misconduct. This game development has helped me allot
to analyse my personal skills and came out with my weakness also. I develop skills of
presentation and leading the team effectively. I also develop good communication skill in order
to guide and inform my team members about what needs to be done. So that, the overall
experience was incredible and we enjoyed developing the game. This gave us shocking
experience about knowing the truth of academic misconduct and trying to figure out its
implications.
CONCLUSION
This report has concluded that academic misconduct is followed by 5 principles of honesty, truth
fairness responsibility and respect. A student is entitled to get all these values into their
behaviour while taking education into university or moving further for jobs and career. The
whole concept of academic integrity is formulated to aware the children about ethics and moral
values. The report has evaluated all the implications and importance of academic integrity which
shows the pleasure is I'm cheating and Collusion are the act of serious misconduct. At last, the
experience of developing game has given a fruitful insight of various skills and team behaviour.
