Introduction of Academic Integrity
Academic integrity is based on the commitment to and demonstration of honest & moral
behavioural in regards of academic setting. This is becoming consider as relevant aspect in the
university level as it relates to provide credit to other kind of person when they have already
using innovative ideas (Denisova-Schmidt, 2017). It is the simplest way to gain more knowledge
and contribution of other individual people.
in context of high education, academic integrity align with Australian Higher education
standards Framework, which makes its broad requirement to understand the current policies that
promote and uphold academic & research integrity. It became easier for addressing the allegation
of misconduct, take a certain action to mitigate foreseeable risks to academic & research
integrity.
It is necessary for the students too work with a academic integrity so they can get a better
marks in their subjects. An academic work a person take help of existing studies by the other
authors, they should always give credit to the authors So the work can be with the academic
integrity. academic misconduct can affect the image of student in society, family and University
staff. if they want to be a effective student at their higher education than they should always
work with the academic integrity and they should follow instructions to write a report or any
kind of article.
Discussion on the importance of academic integrity in higher education
Academic integrity is becoming important for student at the time of higher education. This
is because it help to give the best chance of success, student is doing the assessment tasks with
an honest attitude. The importance of academic integrity is support to avoid bad consequences
such as like failing an assignment or being asked to leave the university. In context of game
playing, Academic integrity plays important role in which reflect fundamental of teaching,
research that allows student and staff members to build a new ideas, knowledge and develop
creative thinking.

The importance of Academic integrity in university, student and other staff members can
do work at university, affect how other can view. Generally, it is focused on the needs of
education where every student can build a consistent and trustworthy in its standards for courses
and assessments (Lancaster, 2018). These are not only provide the confidence in people who are
gradually achieve their degree. On the other hand, the importance of academic integrity in term
of higher education which means that provide the better new ideas and student can influence
with new conceptual termed. It is also important that can do tasks, quizzes and exam honestly.
Different forms of assessment are designed for student where they can do test and develop own
knowledge.
Academic integrity is the commitment by the students to be honest, respected and responsible
lower their work. Students should avoid the plagiarism and cheating so they can continuously
create a good image in the others mind and they will also get a better marks in their study safe
they are following the academic integrity principles (Kwong, Wong and Yue., 2017). according
to the principles by the academic integrity it is a fundamental of teaching, learning at researching
at the University level and it is also committed to providing better approaches to the education
recognising that student need to be supported to develop a demonstrated academic skills.
teachers should make aware students about principles so student can work with the honesty and
with the respect without cheating. it will help and developing a good behaviour in these students
and they will learn how to work with the integrity and why it is necessary for them to work
fairly. which makes its broad requirement to understand the current policies that promote and
uphold academic & research integrity. It became easier for addressing the allegation of
misconduct, take a certain action to mitigate foreseeable risks to academic & research integrity.
Describe the implications of Academic misconduct
The most obvious things about the academic misconduct and identify the consequences of
academic dishonesty the penalties in the university. If in case, student can impose on offending
other colleagues.

Social consequences- The moral aspects of cheating, including the habit forming,
devaluation of hard work, integrity and fairness. These are majorly affecting the attitude of
student in the higher education level.
Loss of intellectual property- it is the most commonly academic dishonesty such as
plagiarism which become equivalent of stealing information of other person. So as, it is very
important to focus on the currency for individual people when they can take permission and use
other detailed (Lancaster, 2018).
Self-esteem- it is all about the way in which student who are trying to do cheat at the time of
examination. At that time, it would be increased the situation in regards of loss of self-respect
which can lead to host other problems. If a student is cheating in Their academic work or not
giving credit to the authors who have published these studies then there are chances they can get
a plagiarism which is unethical behaviour and it will affect their self esteem due to the lower
marks.
Legal consequences- At the time, faculty of the University involved University students in
projects and they give guarantee to the University by sponsors from outside like a business,
agencies and government to provide a student with a good opportunity for working real life
problems. if our students are dishonest and cheating are not working fairly within such projects
than there are higher chances that sponsors can take actions against the University . the actions
taken by the sponsors can include loss of failure in the project, find to the University and even it
can reach to the lawsuit. this kind of actions can have serious consequences in the image of
University, as they can only run their business on the basis of their reputation but also result in
loss of opportunity for the students who are already studying in a University.

Reflection on steps taken and developing game and difficulties faced in the procedure
To develop the game, I have taken various steps that helped me to develop a game which is
based on academic integrity (Luck, and etc.al., 2021. ). First step that I take and development of

game is initiation planning where I think about the game that can be connect with academic
integrity Then Draw a road map about the game.
Game design- Game design is one of the most important part where a proper design of the game
is necessary where students can participate in a group.
The game to avoid plagiarism and academic misconduct is named as “APAM” under which
people get test themselves in terms of their learning capability. The game provides suitable
platform to paraphrase the quote and track the source of research. Once the candidate start
writing and re-framing accurate result is provided that clarifies about percentage of plagiarism.
In this better clarity is provided about fragmentation of words and also aid in brainstorming as
well.
Rules - other step was to Making a rules that is one of the most important part of developing a
game but I have developed the rules of game that can be helpful to guide students who will
participate in the academic integrity game. There was some rules that four needed to be followed
by the students who will participate in APAM Game. Some of the rules that cover within it was
experience cannot right exactly what is return they have to paraphrase the quote and track the
resource of the search (Anohina-Naumeca, Birzniece and Odiņeca., 2020). The platform and
automatically find a student is cheating or if they are not giving the credit to the authors who
have published the article. this rule should be followed by the everyone and I have developed
this game as it will automatically provide a result and find the mistakes in the report or there is
any cheating that is conducted by the student in the game. To make this rule I have also take help
of my friends who provide me a guidance that what type of rules I can implement within the
game.
Testing- It is important for the game developer to always test their games and it is practical game
so it was necessary for me to test myself by playing the game myself. To test game I participate
in the APAM Where I paraphrase all information that I find from Internet sources and use and
right in my own language that helped me to avoid the plagiarism in the report and I was able to
pass the test (Brown, Bourke-Taylor and et.al., 2019.). The paraphrase report come that was

below the 5% which means that I was able to pass the test. another test conduct on the student
where they participate one student work with the fairness where they avoid the paraphrase and
work according to their own language on the other side other student who was just copying the
work that was they get in the Internet. the result shows that a person who give credit to the
authors and paraphrase the article’s was without paraphrase but other student get the plagiarism
hand they also do not put the authors name which means they also get lower marks in the end
result.
Difficulties faced in producing again
Some of the difficulties faced by me during the game production, one of them was for thinking
about the game that could involve the students who can play the game and learn about the
academic integrity (Lancaster., 2018). it was so difficult for me because it was first time When I
was developing again. another issue that faced by me during the game development was thinking
about the rules. Setting up the rules in the game is important cause without having the rules
student cannot play the game where I think about what rules can be implemented. I have also
take help off my friends who help me too identify the game rules that could be make students
play flair fairly.
Another big problem was designing the game because it takes time to design and think about the
structure of the game. it takes days 2 think about the game that could be connected with the
academic integrity but in the end I was able to develop the design.
Skills learned from game development procedure
During the developing a game, I have learned some of these skills that could be helpful for me in
future career development. Top most skills that I have learned critical thinking, due to the game I
was able to think critically and because of that I was able to develop a new game that means I
have through my own thinking skills and I can think more creatively now. a person only can be
successful if they think out of the box so it will be helpful for me to develop myself in the future
(Chugh., and et.al., 2021). Decision making skills that I have learned From the game
development becausr I take various decision vertical game during the creating their rules and

regulations man if I found that this rule is okay then only I was confirming. academic skills-
This whole game was based on academic integrity that means I was able to develop academic
skills in myself. Academic skills always helpful for me in every career path becausr it is
necessary for the person to have a academic skills so they can do something different an follow
the academic integrity in their work so they can avoid the plagiarism. I also help students to learn
the academic integrity and develop the academic skills in themselves and myself both. The
platform and automatically find a student is cheating or if they are not giving the credit to the
authors who have published the article. this rule should be followed by the everyone and I have
developed this game as it will automatically provide a result and find the mistakes in the report
or there is any cheating that is conducted by the student in the game.
