The importance of academic integrity in higher education.
The academic integrity is importantly being practised in all the education sectors as it
helps out to maintain the growth, ethics and the honesty in the relations of students and the
professors. In the higher education system. It has been observed that academic integrity theirby
plays a major role as it conducts various ethical and moral values, their are various importance of
academic integrity which are as follows:
The academic integrity build a trust in the person as when any person is doing their work
with all the, moral and the ethical values then that will make others to gain trust on that

Thus, this can be foreseen that all the higher education when follow all the ethics, norms
and the integrity build confidence in the students and make them to work in a better way, as this
also helps to build the image of the institution and influence the individual to work with integrity
by maintaining all the norms. In this time all the institutions are making various teams which use
to check all the misconducts and trying to follows the norms and the culture in their educational
environment(Winchester, 2019).
The implications of academic misconduct .
Academic misconduct is mainly the unfair academic practises that are being done by the
students in order to gain any advantages through any medium. This is mainly being happened
when the students or the staff in the institution are being involved in any unfair practises and all
are not following the ethical values which are needed to be applied. The academic misconducts
creates a major impact on the image of the institution and also on the students who were
Working with the academic integrity(Kaul, 2020).their are various academic misconducts that
use to take place in the institutions they are as follows: Plagiarism- This involves the usage of any other persons ideas, words and work without
informing them. As when any student use the work of another person and acknowledge
that on their own name by not following the rights and the morals. Falsification- When the students tends to fabricates the data and the academic
information without being informing the authority about the work will amount to
falsification. Cheating- This usually being practised in the exam sessions as when the students tries to
deceive any paper, assignment or any other projects in order to gain marks. This embarks
to be the misconducts that affects the ethical values.
Collusion- It is mainly when students use to work together on a project or an assignment
and tends to be acknowledge that the student takes the idea of another person and copy it
in a same way without informing them.
All these misconducts creates a worse image of the institution and with that it effects the
reputation too. It has been implied that all the ethics and the morals when being practised creates
an integrity in the educational environment(Pieczynski, Lam, and Enns, 2018).

reputation of the institution. All theses practises are ethically wrong and it create worse impact
on the society and on the growing age of the students, the universities should have to take a strict
actions towards all these practises and through this all the cultural and the ethical perception is to
be maintained.(Knight, 2018).
SECTION 2
Reflect on the steps that are taken, along with the difficulties encountered in producing the
game.
In the present time when academic integrity have a huge impact on all the educational
institution and it helps out to maintain the reputation. It creates the fairness and also the
confidence among the students I believe that this is an important factor which should be
practised in all the educational areas. I felt that all the universities should try to follow the ethical
conducts and values in order to maintain their reputation and to grow the students in a better
way.
After my personal analysis I obtained an idea that will help out to maintain the academic
integrity and also to check the misconducts that are being practised by some interesting manner. I
made a game named spinning wheel plagiarism which helps out to check the plagiarism in the
students work and will also help to remove the chances of it in future. My main aim behind this
is to make the students learn about the plagiarism and get the complete knowledge about it so
that they will practise that in future.
In this spinning wheel I had used various multicolour cards in which their are certain
points being written on them and several questions are being framed in all the cards. When the
person spins the wheel they will get a card and will have to answer those questions and get the
ponts the person attaining the maximum points will win the game. This will help the students to
learn properly about the plagiarism problem.
But at some extent their were various difficulties that I have faced while making the
game they are like:
The designs and the structure framing was a difficult task for me as it was quiet
complicated to design a structure that will seek the interest of the students to play and
learn in better way.
Making various questions for the game is quiet tough as to frame the proper set of
questions that will help the students to learn and understand was a hectic task.

To frame the link between the academic integrity and the game was the main problem as
to make the students learn about the moral value and ethics is main agenda behind the
game.
Thus all this was made in order to make the academic integrity more meaningful
and make the institution to give students better knowledge about the ethics and morals.
Reflect on the skills that you have learned in this academic year and those emphasized in
producing your game.
The game spinning wheel is made to avoid plagiarism and to maintain the academic
integrity in all the institutions. I developed various skills through which I had gained more
experience that are as follows: Written skills- By this spinning wheel game I gained an attribute quality in my writing
skills as their were questions that I framed in the game and that made me more confident
on my writing skills. Organisation skills- Before making the game I did not have much knowledge about
organizing the proper resources and maintaining the projects, but after this certain time I
got complete information about this. PowerPoint knowledge- I was already aware about the power point as I had made various
presentations but after making this game I got more depth knowledge about it and this too
helped me now in my other ongoing projects. Design skills- Before making this game I did not have any knowledge about design and
after this I pertained all the methods through which certain games and their organisation
can be framed.
Imagination and creativity- I enhanced my thinking ability after this project of spinning
wheel as this made my views to think in the wider section and gain much wide aspect in
all the areas and increased the perception of thinking.
Through all these skills I gained much knowledge and I had gained experience in
all my learning abilities and values that use to be implied in all the academic integrity.
CONCLUSION
From this above report it is concluded that, academic integrity plays a vital role in all the
education institutions. It helps to maintain all the elements and the ethical norms and moral

values which has to be followed by the students and the professors. The honesty, fairness and
