Introduction
Academic integrity can be termed as the promise made by the individuals to exhibit
moralistic values in facilitating the activities and functions pertaining to the academic
conduct. Academic Integrity is a significant attribute incorporate by all the universities or
academic institutions across the globe in order to regulate the behaviour as well as the
conduct of the students while undertaking an academic lesson, assignment, exam etc. The
section 1 of the report highlights upon the concept of Academic Integrity (Bens, 2020) . It
also determines the necessity of academic integrity in the higher level education of the
individuals and details about the issues and problems related to academic misconduct as well.
The section 2 of the report encompasses the game formation steps and procedures as well as
the obstacles faced by the individuals while preparing the same. It also reflects upon the
acquisition of skills during the development of game.

An Introduction including a description of Academic Integrity
Academic Integrity is considered to be one of the most prominent features, adoption and
implementation which can lead to enhancement in the academic work delivered by an
individuals (Openo, 2019). It can be defined as the application of academic morals and values
in the academic setting in order to promote fairness and honest in the academic environment.
It is the responsibility of the individuals to facilitate the utilisation of fair and just means in
order to accomplish the academic goals.
Academic Integrity is a broad concept and governs various essential attributes that reflects
upon various essential derivatives needs to be taken into consideration by the students such
as acknowledging and providing credit to the individuals whose work has been taken as an
inspiration by documenting the references in a credible manner (Christensen Hughes, 2017) .
Avoidance of plagiarism needs to be exercised by the students in order to enhance the
authenticity of their work. Individuals should not indulge themselves in any sort of ethical
misconduct and cheating practice. Fairness should be practised and no discrimination should
prevail in the institutional environment on the basis of colour, background, race,
gender,culture etc. The individuals are expected to be honest with their approach towards
their work and needs to be accountable enough to take full responsibility of their behaviours
and actions in institutional setting. Mutual trust and admiration can considered to be the

the students and will provide the same with a bright future as well. The higher level education
system is quite complex in nature. Individuals in the higher level programs are expected to
behave and function within the professional academic code of conduct as well. There are
times when excessive baggage of work, hectic schedules and inability to meet the deadline
can persuade the individuals to follow a wrong path i.e. utilisation of unfair means and
misconduct in order to achieve the targets and complete the tasks. Hence, it is essential for the
universities to formulate necessary policies and procedures that needs to be taken care of by
each and every individuals while facilitating their work in order to reduce the chances of
misconduct (Grosu and Toader, 2020) .
The values of academic integrity such as trust, responsibility fairness etc. needs to be
inculcated among the students so as to influence them to demonstrate good behaviour in the
organisation setting. Higher level education is known to shape the mindsets and mould the
personality of the individuals (Kolski, 2020). The lessons and ideologies taught and practised
in the respective educational stage has a huge impact on the learning of the individuals as
they tend to remember the same for a long period of time. Hence, it is extremely important
for the institutions to facilitate addition of various moral concepts and teaching that can
provide adequate assistance in guiding the moral behaviour and values of an individuals in a
positive manner wherein he/ she respects the academic integrity and execute the academic
work in alliance with the same (McKenzie, 2019) .
It can be stated that the amalgamation of the right set of academic integrity principles can
help in the growth as well as professional development of the individuals in a very deliberate
manner. These principles can also guide the individuals during their career path and journey

2018). The students are usually advised not to indulge in any kind of ethically wrong practice
as it can lead to major complications for the individuals. The academic misconduct also
impose problems to the professors as the potential reason behind misconduct is the inability
apply the knowledge or the incompetency to achieve the academic goals (Joyner, 2017). The
professors are responsible for departing knowledge and regulating the academic work of the
student,. The incompetency of the student is sometimes labelled as the fault of the professor
to deliver the knowledge in an effective manner.
The various implications that can be faced by an individual caught in indulgence of an
academic misconduct are as follows :-
Fines and penalties can be impose on the students if they are caught in any minor
misconduct.
If an individuals is caught in a very minor misconduct, he/she can be given an early
warning in relation with not to repeat the same mistake twice. The repetition of the
same mistake can lead to severe action against the individual.
The respective project or assignment in which academic miscount is identified can be
cancelled by the authority and the student can be failed in that subject as well.
The severe misconducts are usually facilitated with termination of the student from
the university which can lead to adverse impact on the future academic career of the
individual. It can also lead to negative effect on the reputation of the student in the
academic environment.
Overall, it can stated that in order to complete the given course in a respectable and
honourable manner, it is essential for the students to not participate in any form of academic
misconduct. There are cases when the student's career has been on stake due to one mistake
and thus it is very important for the student to take the guidelines provided by the
profe4sseors in a serious and disciplined manner.

Reflect on the steps you have taken, and difficulties encountered in producing the game
In order to formulate the game, various steps and procedures were undertaken in order to
develop the game in a very systemic and advance manner.
The primary step was to facilitate the research and to accumulate necessary
information that will be required to formulate the further processing of the game.

Once, the information and concepts were identifies, brain storming was exercised in
order to come up with numerous game development ideas.
The most suitable and appropriate idea is taken into consideration which is extremely
feasible and reliable as well. Once the idea is finalised , the necessary equipments and
material required to facilitate the application of the idea in reality needs to be worked
upon.
For example, in order to execute the flip board game, flip board need to be designed
and developed so that participants can utilise the same in an effective way.
The rating remote were arranged so that other participants could rate the performance
of each other.
At the end, the token of appreciation also had to be developed in order to facilitate the
reward to the winner
The difficulties faced by the game developer in leading the development of the game are as
follows :-
The arrangement of rating remote were extremely difficult and a lot of time and input
has to invested in order to arrange the same for the assistance of the game.
The design and structure of flip board was not an easy task and a lot of research as
well as creativity was involved in the formulation of the same.
Reflect on the skills you have learned this academic year and those emphasized in producing
your game
During the respective academic year, I was able to acquire various advanced skills that helped
me in professional as well as personal development. Communication can be termed as the
most prominent skills that need to be acquire in order interact with people in an effective
manner. I leaned various communication approached through which my dialect and command
over the language can be improved and I can put across my viewpoints and thoughts more
confidently. I also worked upon my time management practices while meeting constant
deadlines now and then. I also formulated time table in order to manage my time in a more
efficient manner. The formation of time table helped to give priority to the most important
task of the day and complete the same on time without any delay. My self confidence has also
enhanced this year as I have participated in various competition which has helped me to
identify my strengths and potential and to work on them in order to lead by overall
productivity and to enhance my personality as well. Patience and calmness can considered to
be one of the greatest virtues of life. This year, I have been stuck in various complicated

situations which tested my patience as well as determination. Although, I faced various
critical situation but I maintained my calm and tried to do my best ion every given situation.
The game development was also a very interesting task for me as it helped to me identify my
creative streak. The game development process was very exhilarating as well as time
consuming as well. The process of game development assisted me in becoming a more
creative individual as I have to think about innovative ideas that have not been introduced
before and can provide a good leverage to me as well. My thinking ability also enhanced due
to the game development assignment and as I got to learn new techniques and concepts which
have enhanced my overall knowledge and skill set.
Conclusion
From the above discussed information, it can be concluded that academic integrity plays
major role in the educational journey of an individuals as it provides the relevant pathway
that needs to be followed in order to achieve milestones in the academic career. It is also
essential for the students to understand that misconduct can ruin their growth opportunities
and can hamper their career in the long run. The game development opportunity was one of
the most interesting aspect of student's academic journey. It is necessary for the individuals to
capitalise on the opportunity and to utilise the same to the best level in order top acquire
relevant experience and learning from the same.
