INTRODUCTION
Academic integrity is mainly defined as the process which allows students with giving
freedom for building the new ideas and thoughts for doing right workings by concisely believing
to maintaining the academic integrity. This report provide details about describing the academic
integrity. Also, discussing its importance in the higher education and its implications of
academic misconduct. Further more, reflecting on the steps taken and the difficulties which
mainly encountered in producing the game for project 2. Also, reflecting the skills learned in
academics and helps in producing the game.
MAIN BODY
Description of Academic integrity
Academic integrity is the process that used to allow the students and staff to have
freedom in order to build the new ideas and knowledge. This helps them to have creative ideas
and acknowledging their work as well. The academic integrity is basically the moral code and
conduct that helps the students to have better learning in the school and colleges. This used to
support the enactment of the values related to education by avoiding the cheating, contract
cheating and plagiarism (Fatemi and Saito, 2020). By this there is well maintenance of the
academic standards made by the universities. It is commonly referred as avoiding the plagiarism
and the other misconducts tat may happens in the universities. This is practice at most of the
universities and includes the policies and procedure that helps them to maintain ethics in the
universities. The universities has now moved towards the inclusive approach that helps them to
have awareness of the codes and conducts to the students.
Academic integrity is also important as it makes to feel that what important activities that
need to be developed and have better contribution to the local community. It is very important to
have the academic integrity as this used to maintain the honesty and moral behaviour where the
academic setting is required. This used to set the long -term respectability that is related to the
day to day issues. By this it used to imply that the moral values and principles are being values or
not that are related to the academics. More over, This also used to remember the liability by
having proper demonstration in order to have better management (Kadam, 2018). Academic
integrity used to imply that what is ethically and morally good that is related to academics. The
instructions written on this must be decent and have moral conduct that accomplish the aims and
objectives of the universities. The universities must focus on the academic integrity that helps

them to have better ethics and self esteem. By having the good academic integrity it helps the
students to have better understandings of the ethics and policies that makes them to get good
marks.
Importance of academic integrity in higher education
Academic integrity helps the students to build up new ideas and knowledge that is helpful
for their own personal development and growth in the future. Also, through maintaining the
integrity the students would be able to acknowledge and respect the work of others. Furthermore,
any kind of misconduct would not allow the students to develop in right manner (Guerrero-Dib,
Portales and Heredia-Escorza, 2020). Thus, it is important for students as it helps to ensure trust,
fairness, respect, responsibility etc. that are essential aspects for any students that wants to grab
best opportunities in the future. More over, it is essential as it enhances the learning as copying
from others does not allow in making the students discipline in long run. Academic integrity also
helps the students to develop the teamwork spirit and develop the best leaders for the future that
are efficient enough to carry out certain task on their own without depending much on others.
Also, it is the best indicator for student workplace behaviour in the future and will help in
having the overview what are the possible outcomes when certain task is been carried out.
Moreover, this will also help the students to build up the value and reputation in way that would
be appreciated and followed by others in the positive manner.
Thus, academic integrity is tool that allows the students to become less dishonest and act
in more responsible manner so that all the task are that are assigned are done in way that would
develop good impression on others (Lindstrom, 2022). Furthermore, it is role of teachers and
assessors to assist the students in maintaining the integrity through providing the clear
instructions and guidelines so that certain objectives are accomplished in right way. Moreover,
success in life of the students is only possible when collective ideas and values are integrated in
right way that helps the students to achieve success in the chosen field or career in future through
best professional practice and knowledge.
Thus, the main importance of maintaining academic integrity is it helps in being more
responsible by acting more consistent for being more productive in nature.
Discussing the implications of academic misconduct
Academic misconduct is an act that is not accepted by any organization in the future as it
only creates negative result. Further more, if any kind of the academic misconducts in the form

of copy paste or any other way is done than it would result loss in the future projects for the
students. Thus, the student will not get the best opportunities to showcase any of the talents that
would help in its own development and growth (Fatemi and Saito, 2020). Moreover, another
implications of misconduct in the university is that student might have to pay fines for
dishonestly he/she has shown in the assignment and this way the reputation is also impacted
badly. Also, in the worst case the students might also suspend from the institute for the mistake
that has been committed. More over, below is are more implications that are as :
Students self-esteem: Students who used to cheat while having the studying used to have
big impact on the self-esteem of them. This makes them to suffer the long term and make them
feel guilty of so long. Cheating is considered as one of the major implication of the academic
misconduct (Patra and Das, 2019). This loss makes the students to suffer a lot and have negative
impact on their working.
Loss of study: by not having the proper academic integrity it helps the students to have
loss of the study. As sometimes students misrepresents and have unauthorized collaboration
which used to have great impact on their study thus this leads to have the academic misconduct
in the universities. By having this used also used to have great impact on the career preparation
of the students.
Inaccurate assessments of the student: When students do not behave and have the
proper integrity in the academics leads to inaccurate assessments of the students ability,
knowledge, skills by the teachers.
Hence, it can be said that implication of the academic misconduct is not good as
fraudulent publications would make the future of the student in danger but it would also impact
the relationship among the universities scholars and student that has committed misconduct for
long period.

Reflecting about the steps taken in producing the game
As With designing the spinning the wheel game the main steps involves and the
difficulties pertaining while designing this game mainly includes:
Making the concept: The first step while designing the game is I have mainly defined the
concept for developing the game. The main concept of this game is for analysing the importance
of maintaining academic integrity while studying.

Gathering the information from internet: This is the second step as for designing the
spinning the wheel I have researched and gathered the information as by selecting the game as
spinning the wheel which will contains 6 colours. As by researching for designing the game
mainly helps in developing the game which must be enjoyable and interactive in nature. In this
while selecting and researched about the spinning wheel game.
Making rules and intructions for playing the game: In this step I have mainly defining the
instruction to play the game, as spinning wheel by forming 5 team with 5 members. One player
spin the wheel for attaining the pointer to stop on one colour. With this picking up the card for
the particular colour consist of various MCQ questions. With giving the limit as 50 sec to solve.
Defining the success criteria with rewarding: In this step I have defined the success with
solving the questions will gain 5 point for every right answer, by scoring 50 marks by any team
at first will be the winner.
Further more, the difficulties being arises while designing the game as while researching
I was unable to find any offline game. All of the games were online available which was
inappropriate in nature for minimizing the academics misconducts as plagiarism (Lämsä,
Hämäläinen and et.al., 2018). Also I was not able to easily define the questions to be asked to the
audience which helps in analysing their knowledge related to the plagiarism.
Reflecting the skills being learned from academics and helped in producing game
For designing the game it required wide range of skills which i have learned while
acquiring the academic knowledge mainly includes the researching, creativity, presentation
skills, writing and problem solving skills (Liu, 2019). The skills and abilities which helped me in
developing and designing spinning the wheel game mainly incudes:
As by using the creativity skills has mainly assisted me in designing the simple and
creative game as spinning the wheel. Further more, These skills mainly results in building
connections with designing into reality with ascertaining all the creative ideas. Creative skills
helps me in performing all the workings with designing the game in effective manner.
Design skills: These skills are mainly acquired while pursuing the academics, it mainly
helps in designing and developing the game by using the best techniques and tools. As I have
mainly used adobe spark tool for designing the spinning the wheel game.
Presentation skills: the Presenting the game plays important role, as it is very important
for enabling to understand among others for playing this game by effectively presenting it. Thus,

with using these skills mainly help me in presenting the game as to effectively enabling other to
understand the same as by defining the proper rule and conditions to play th game in the proper
manner as to attain the best results.
Researching skills: as while completing the group assignment in the academics has
helped me in developing these skills, with using it into the game designing by thoroughly
researching about creatively designing the game. As with acquiring this skill mainly helps me in
researching effectively on the internet (Nassaji, 2021). As by effectively researching has helped
me in gaining knowledge abut designing the game for reducing the plagiarism and maintaining
the academic integrity.
Problem solving: As for designing the game it mainly requires the problem solving skills
as it mainly helps in finding out the solution and the alternative for solving the problem. As for
solving the problem in this game for enabling the probability for brining the other colour while
spinning the wheel, these skills help in solving this issue.
Thus, all these all skills has helped me in designing game for reducing the plagiarism as
for maintaining the academic integrity.
CONCLUSION
From the above report it can be concluded that, academic integrity is important as it
mainly helps in defining the conducts for being responsible by maintaining honesty, fairness and
respecting the working of others. Further more, This mainly help the students to work with
values by being honest with taking whole responsibility while learning with others. Further
more, The academic integrity is important in the higher education for avoiding the plagiarism
with respecting other working in fair and respectful manner. Also, as by reflecting in the steps
and the skills required for designing the game mainly includes the designing skill, creativity,
presentation skills, problem solving skills, researching skills assist in designing simple and
creative game as spinning the wheel.
