INTRODUCTION
Academic Integrity is a term that means avoids plagiarism and cheating so that people
can trust on others, among other misconduct behaviour. In other word, it is a commitment and
presentation of the honest and moral behaviour in the academic setting. It is essential for the
person because it gives values to the degree. This report will discuss about significance of
academic integrity and how it can effect on the higher education student’s life.
Section 1
Description of academic integrity
Academic integrity is a set of moral codes or ethical policy of academics that encourages
students to be followed all ethics in their practices which working on the project so that other can
have advantage of their work (Alleyne and Thompson, 2019). There is a great example to
understand the concept of academic integrity such as when teachers allot assignment to the
student in academic period. In that situation, students must take full responsibilities to write
assignment with quality and effectively modify overall information which gathers from different
authors and must be honest with the work.
A discussion of the significance of academic integrity in higher education
Academic integrity is more crucial for the higher education due to several reasons such as
it helps a person or student to develop honest profile in others mind. Another is that it provides
values to the degree (Amigud and et.al., 2017). Third reason is that companies i.e. employers
prefer to hire only those candidates who they trust to have effective high personal integrity.
Academic integrity also shows that how students are completely true for their work in the higher
educations and they take their own work responsibility which demonstrates that they are not
breaking the rules. When the student gives first priority to the university it demonstrates that how
they are highly committed and motivated into their work and not have any willingness to copy
from others that could put them into not passing courses. However, in fewer cases it happens that
could put student into stabled position in the higher education. It could lead to no longer being an
at student at the higher education so, most of the students takes all higher education’s rules and

regulation seriously so that they can build honest image in the university’s teachers mind which
would impact on it’s future positively.
Above mentioned paragraph has denoted that students who do not follow the rule and
regulation then they are not eligible to take admission into other university of UK. For example,
in the past few cases in which indicated that how students have broken YK’s university rule and
regulation in order to gain degree for which they were willing to copy from others instead of
giving credit for the hard work. UK’s university are very serious is to keep student safe who
believes in working hard for their assignment in order to gain excellent degree.
Implications of academic misconducts
Academic misconduct means when individual takes full advantage of other hard work fro
themselves that means they do not give values to other student’s responsibility which they take
for their assignment and also not give the full credit. This situation is known as academic
misconduct. It gives inappropriate information that would lead to break the law for the
plagiarism from other students in the higher education which is not being trustworthy.
Plagiarism
Plagiarism is that process that takes by people from others work and present as own work
without giving information or knowledge of them for the work. Many of the students who have
half time or insufficient time then they copy from other students work without giving credit to
them for their hard work (Bertram Gallant, 2017). In most of the cases, it has really showed as
big issue in several universities because some students have copied more than half part of the
degree from other student’s work that means these students have big risk to given their
assignment to the classmate and their juniors in future. the reason behind is that this work or
assignment already have copied by others.
Another academic misconduct is that when student is not giving authentic source for the
right author (Ridgley, Miron and McKenzie, 2019). However, there were some universities
whereas this work has done before so these universities have to shut down their business from
the education sector. Even every student who is applying in such universities they must provide a
back check that they do not have advantage from other students.

Cheating
It is considered one of the most academic misconduct such as when individuals cheat
other work in examination or assignment. There is various type of cheating such as when people
is paying someone else to complete their projects which is usually happen in most of the
universities whereas if students faces difficulties in completing their projects then they lead
thinking of cheating and finds out best way of cheating (Brown and Janssen, 2017). So, there are
some universities willing in providing support to those students who face more difficulties with
their assignment but after that several students pick up this way of cheating.
Professional misconduct
Professional misconduct is the term that means all students must behave professionally
when they study in universities and the student who thinks to commit fraud with the support of
academics that situation is known as misconduct. The main goal in professional misconduct is to
allow students to respect all norms that have imposed by universities priorly which is that pair
them into employability approach after they graduate (Denisova-Schmidt, 2017). The main thing
is that having the professional misconduct provides the complete responsibility to the other
people work and gives the full credit. However, it can find hard for the student to follow the
professional misconduct because they do not willing to take the full responsibility of other work.
Section 2
Reflect on the steps that have taken and difficulties encountered in production the game for the
assignment 2
While working in a team I have faced issue that is not having the full understanding about
kinder game that me and my team is going to represent i.e. how to transform game into
Academic integrity rulers. However, this game transformation takes me too longer to get my
head thinking about something extempore for the game. The reason behind is that my team have
decided to select the game which is monopoly that we require to change the board which is
needed a lot of work in order to lead change around it (Fass-Holmes, 2017). One of the most
difficult things about the game is that I never play such games before and is more confusing
because me and my team had to adapt academic integrity rulers into the proposed game and I had
Document Page
to take care of answering over the proposed questions that are also included in this game which
required in changing in respect to fit into the game that takes too longer time (Ramdani, 2018).
One of the most frustrating situations took place in a team when it was bit hard to directly
communicate with the team leader and he chose the process more difficult for the proposed game
so I had to learn on how to change it around as well as how to play with the game in efficient
manner. In developing board game, I had to demonstrate photoshop of ruler into the proposed
game which was really difficult. But I got help from my team. When we developed the game,
then we faced some issues like who is going to take, which part and who will represent but later
on we made the plan in which enlisted each team work and this plan also shows that who is
going and which part in presenting.
Overall, I have decided that if next time I get similar opportunity to make any kinder
board game, then I would select the easy games that would provide me more time to follow the
rules into the game and it brings more understanding. Another is that I would pay more attention
on my skills so that I could produce effective games.
Reflect on the skill that have learned this academic year and those emphasized in developing
game
There are various skills that I have learned in this academic year is that I have ability and
the believe as well in doing my projects I would never practice academic misconduct. I would
have the courage to take overall responsibility with my work through which I would get
excellent grades. I have developed organization skills during this academic year due to this I
have become more focused and organized for my career which is one of the most crucial for
everyone (Greenhough, 2016). The skill that have learned in the developing games during
second semester such as to share viewpoints with other people in a team and gives my feedback
on how we must suppose to represent the game. One of the most essential skill that I have
learned is that I had to be more open minded accordingly other opinions or viewpoints while
working within team that could bring more success in the game. I also have learned that
communication is one of the most effective tools for the people because it supports them to build
good relation with others and develops comfort area for themselves. During game production, I
had good communication skills that supported me to communicate with my team members
effectively through which we enabled to complete complex tasks i.e. game production within
Document Page
timeframe. However, I noticed that I unable to give value to other thoughts and idea in a team at
initial period due to this several team members were not paying more interest to listen tasks. But
when I tried to communicate with them and encourages them to share their views that brough
advance change in their working profession such as they become more dedicated for their tasks
which assigns by team leader and contributed to lead success in game production process. Other
skill is presenting work in front of the senior authorities without nervous (Hoepner, 2019). For
example, I have improved this skill when I gave presentation in front of tutor about the Kinder
board game on the behalf of my whole team without being nervous like what to say. I am really
happy to think that how I was too much confident in my work and described contribution of each
member of team in this game which they had put. It was possible by the support plan which have
developed me and me team for all the work before demonstrating the game. This game
production assignment has widened my knowledge over the academic integrity. So, I would
never try to practice in from of academic misconduct which could impact my personal integrity.
Thus, I learned and improved various skills from the game production and my team as
well.
CONLCUSION
This report has been summarized about significance of academic integrity for higher
education students and how each student must carry the full responsibility of other people work
and provide the credit to other for their work. It has concluded different type of academic
misconducts that the student must pay attention, because there were various comments over
plagiarism and cheating. The reason behind is that this section would support students to
understand that how academic misconduct could ruin their future as well as others whom one
they are copying without giving knowledge. In this report has described the difficulties that I and
my team had face in developing the kinder games and skills that have developed while making
the game.
