Academic skills is basically referred to the talent and habits that are helpful in benefiting
a person while pursuing learning, research, etc. The skills will comprise of several analysis,
communication, studying, social planning, technical skills and several more. The focus of the
skill development has been done through the development of a game.
TASK 1
Game Designing in order to develop strategies for avoiding the academic plagiarism and
misconduct.
The game will be designed in order to develop the understanding of academic plagiarism
in order to avoid academic plagiarism and misconduct. In order to fulfil the purpose, it is
essential outline the criteria for academic misconduct as well as plagiarism.
Academic misconduct is basically a concept that deals with using unfair means that are
against the guidelines of the university. It might comprise of cheating, plagiarism, access to
university materials before they are officially available for the students, etc.
Plagiarism comprises of the concept of using material facts as well as information
without proper references as well as in-texting the citations. The individual student is liable to be
punished if the student is found to be guilty under the several guidelines and the policies. In
order to avoid the incidents of the plagiarism, it is important for the students to avoid rephrasing
the work, copying the several passages that are available through several online and offline
sources as well as using the views and thoughts of the author without the acknowledgement in
the project reports.
TASK 2
Instructions of playing the Game
In order to develop a better understanding of the concept of academic integrity, it is
essential for the students of the university to put in several efforts through the game design
development. In order to play the game, the students will be divided among the two groups.
Further a basket will comprise of 10 balls of two colours namely black and red. Each team
member will be required to choose a ball and further a question will be asked. Each question will
comprise of 30 points. The maximum points will be 120 points out of 4 questions. Further, in
order to identify the top scorer, the team members will be asked a bonus question in form of a

buzzer round. It will be essential for the team to at least accomplish a total of 90 points in order
to fulfil the submission criteria.
The questions that can be asked in the game have been discussed below.
Question 1 When a report project is submitted without submission, is that considered as an
academic misconduct?

misconduct as well as academic dishonesty. It is essential for the students at the University to to
uphold the expectations in form of academic integrity. In order to maintain the academic
integrity, it is essential for the students to contact the teachers regarding the problems that are
being faced by them in order to deal with the problems through several solutions.

within the individual. The academic integrity is helpful in providing credit to the people whose

Reflection of skills used to produce the game
There are several skills that have helped in developing the game. The skills have been
discussed below.
Creativity- The engagement of academic integrity has helped in performing the several
tasks of providing project report in order to develop creativity skills. The approach has
helped in developing the content. From themselves and further structuring the report in
an appropriate manner.
Time management skills- The preparation of several tasks in the report have helped me
in enhancing my time management skills. The completion of the complex tasks have
been segmented in small denominations in order to complete the tasks in the specified
time period. The skill has further helped me in making used of the time in the most
productive manner that tends to underpin the personal as well as the professional tasks.
Research skills have been helpful for me in developing the understanding of the topic in
context of the several material facts as well as information that is available online. It
helps us in performing the several research activities and further helps in enhancing the
concentration level of an individual.

It can be concluded that it is essential for the students to have academic integrity in order
to excel in the career. In order to attain the academic integrity it is essential to avoid the
plagiarism and several academic misconduct activities. Also, the academic integrity can be
developed through academic games as well.
