INTRODUCTION
Academic integrity can be described as expectation of students, teacher, members of community,
researcher regarding trust, fairness, responsibility, honesty and respect. It is important for a
person to complete a work with honesty and also develop values among them (Al-Haque, 2021).
Conducting academic misconduct can create impact over reputation of students as well as
University and for this purpose, it is essential for a person to maintain academic integrity. This
project report includes academic integrity and its importance. It also includes academic
misconducts and its implication. Moreover, it includes reflection for developing skills and
problem arise during designing game.
MAIN BODY
Description of academic integrity
Academic integrity can be described as basis for goals of university that enable them for purpose
of exchange of ideas as well as development of knowledge as it require that individual people to
work with as well as trusting different people (Bens, 2021). Avoiding academic misconduct in
university like plagiarism, falsification, fabrication that is used for purpose of promotion of
academic integrity. Integrity is all about five components which includes honesty, trust, respect,
fairness and responsibility. Explanation of these components is mentioned below:
Honesty: Honesty is one of important component that is linked with sincerity. Honest individual
always has various ability and also, they represent their efforts fairly.
Trust: Trust in another people as well as community helps to build good relationship. It is
important in order to develop a system in which different members work working together for
doing their best. This system also includes fair policies as well as structure that are treated fairly.
Fairness: Fairness is another component that comes with trust and according to this, individual
believe that they will get fair treatment as well judgement with same standards along with other
members of community.
Respect: Respect is something that allow point of view of individual as well as their opinion to
be shared. In this, it is important to students to reflect that they should listen to others point of
view.

Responsibility: Responsibility is acknowledging agency as well as accountability that is related
to daily action as well as work of a person According to this, it is important of every person to
contribute to their work with integrity.
Discussion of importance of integrity in higher education
Academic integrity can be described as fundamental value as well as paramount of success of a
student. It is important for a person for various reason which are mentioned below:
Importance as students: It is essential for a student that helps them to be successful for
completion of assessment task with a positive and honest attitude. It is also essential for a student
to avoid negative consequences. These negative consequences include failure in an assignment,
restricted from university and many more (Chaudhuri, 2021). A students take admission in
university for purpose of improving their knowledge and for this, they are investing their time,
efforts that has considered as a stepping stone that provide them success in career. It is also
important in order to set foundation for professional knowledge as well as practice of a person.
Importance as University: Work of students as well as staff members of university create
impact over image of university. It is essential for a university to be trustworthy as well as
consist as per their standards for different assessments as well as courses that boost confidence of
community members about people who are graduating with a degree from university. This is the
reason why university is taking academic misconduct issues seriously. It is also important for
students to feel as they have attained learning and knowledge that their learning is based on
foundation of trust, respect as well as their degree.
Importance as employer, client and patient: Academic misconduct can create negative impact
over academic records of people that create impact over people with which a students will work
in future. A student in studying for purpose of developing good career that they can provide
services to different other profession like legal, medical, journalistic, research and other
(Cojocariu and Mareş, 2022). If a person is conducting academic misconduct that means they are
not learning right things that can create negative impact for their future employers as well as
client.
Discussion of implication of academic misconduct
Academic misconduct can be described as action as well as attempt that can results in developing
an unfair advantage for a person or disadvantage for other person of academic community. There
are different types of behaviour which is included in this like plagiarism, cheating, gaining

access of materials, altering of different documents and other things. There are different
expectation of university with different students, so it is essential for students to collect
information about things that what is expected from them. Some of categories of academic
misconduct is mentioned below:
Cheating: It is one of aspect which is designed as dishonesty, fraud as well as deceit in academic
assignment. In this, they are making attempt for purpose of using different materials, assisting
others for purpose of using material’s that is restricted (MacLeod and Eaton, 2020). Example of
it includes copying or making an attempt to copy work of others during examination.
Communicating during exam with other people regarding answer and other things.
Plagiarism: It is another academic misconduct which is described as intellectual material
products through another person without providing prior acknowledgement to another person. It
includes using of others insights, views and opinions without providing them acknowledgement.
Paraphrasing other phraseology, literary without acknowledging them.
Course Material: It is another component that is related to removing, defacing as well as
deliberately keeping of library material of other students that is reserved for specific courses.
Selling, website positing, distributing, publishing course lecture notes, recording as well as other
information offered by instructor and using things for commercial purpose that is done without
taking permission of instructor.
False information and representation, fabrication as well as alteration of information: It
consist failing of a person in order to identify themselves for honestly that is related to academic
obligation (Salmon and Tilley, 2021). Using false information is academic assignment is also
considered as academic misconduct.
Reflection of steps to be taken and difficulties encountered in production of game
In order to design a game, I have taken various steps which is important for successful game
designing. In order to develop successful game, its concept should be different and unique. For
this, various steps need to be taken which are mentioned below:
 For developing a game, a person firstly needs to develop concepts of game that provide
them direction about what they are going to make. It includes different media and other
tools that is required for developing a concept.

 In next step, they can gather information for developing a game. For this, a person needs
to gather information through different methods. For this, I have also taken suggestion of
other people like my family, friends and team members.
 In the next step, I started to building a game based on information collected in previous
steps. In this, I started worked on concept that is developed by me and in this, actual work
is started for developing game (Spencer, 2021).
 In this, a person is refining concept by identify different issues as well as discrepancies in
designing process of game. It is essential for me to resolve these issues in game as it
improve efficiency of my game.
 Test game is another step in which actual testing of game is done. If any problems occur
in this process, final improvement is made in game and if game approve that game is
ready to play.
 It is the last step in which final product that is game is ready for marketing. It can be done
by adopting different tools of promotion.
Problems in developing game
Conflicts: Developing game is a group task in which me and my team members are working
together. For this, we need to coordinate our efforts but we failed to do so as there are conflicts
occur in my team. In my team, different members have different views related to things which
create conflict of interest.
Lack of time: Lack of time is another problem that is faced by me while designing game. I have
lot of work like taking class preparing of examination, completing assignment and other things.
It creates pressure on me which make it difficult for me to work and complete work on time.
Reflection over skills
In academic year, there are different types of skills to be developed by me which helps me in
completion of education and also getting good grades. These skills developed by me is
mentioned below:
Communication skills: Communication is one of important skill which is developed by me in
academic year and is required by me in designing games. It is a skill that helps me for purpose of
sharing ideas, thoughts and views of one person to another person (Veerachamy, 2021). This
skill helps me in writing direction and guide for using the game. It also assists me for sharing my
idea of game design with other members. It helps me to give presentation and also allow me

build good career opportunity. It is required by me for purpose of sharing my views in clear
words with another person that is important for purpose of becoming more efficient.
Time management skills: Time management is another skill that is developed by me in
academic year. As a student, I need to complete different types of work as I needs to saves time
for my studies, attending classes, completing assignment, person work and other things. In order
to design game, I also needs to saves time for that task and for this, I needs to develop schedule
of my routine activities. It allows me to saves time for non-necessary activities and I will able to
invest this time on necessary activities.
Decision making skills: It is another skill that is developed by me as, a student needs to take
various decision in their life as well as in future period of time. It is a skill that allow me to make
various decision related to design of game and prices of developing a game. It is important in
order to developing an effective game that is in accordance with views of customers.
Creative skills: It is another skill that is developed by me which provide me ability to think
about different types of tasks as well as problems in a different way and also allow me use
imagination for purpose of generating ideas. It is important for me to solving different problems
occur and also allows me for purpose of taking interest in completing a task. In order to develop
distinct and unique game, it is one of required by as it helps me to things in unique ways. On
basis of this skill, I was able to develop a unique idea that is necessary.
CONCLUSION
From above mentioned project report, it can be concluded that academic integrity is one of
important things for a student which make them more disciplined in life. It is creating moral
values in a person and also allow them to develop new knowledge and learning at university with
honesty. It is important in order to image of student as well as university and create impact over
future of a person. There are different types of difficulty is faced by me during developing game
but my personal skills and ability assist me for overcoming of these problems. These skills
developed by me includes communication, decision making, creativity and time management.
