Introduction
The academic skills are the one which is developed at the time of a student studying in its
university. It is very important for an individual to develop various academic skills such as
communications skills, time managements skills, listening skills, note taking, writing skills etc.
it is very important for an individual to maintain the academic integrity within the work performed
by an individual. This help in developing personality of students.(Chankova, M., 2020) This
report will include various topic such as introduction to academic integrity, importance of
academic integrity, implications of academic misconduct,

An Introduction including a description of Academic Integrity
The academic integrity is defined as the values of the University which is been taught
to the students in order to develop a good personality for an individual. It is been identified
that the three components of academic integrity is teaching, research and service. The
integrity is defined as the moral and ethical values which is been adopted by an individual in
his/ her studies. This defines the character of a person and the image of an individual. The
main objective of academic integrity is to develop knowledge and the accuracy of attaining
the task in an effective and fairness in the academic community. It is very important for the
students to eliminate plagiarism and falsification in order to get good academic results. The
academic integrity is the most important part for the students, faculty and the other people
working in the institute. (Tatum, and Schwartz,, 2017). This is related to the moral values
and behavior within the university in order to become a professional and talented individual.
It is been identified that the academic integrity comprises of the five core values such as
fairness, honesty, trust, respect and responsibility. It is very important that the person should
not copy the content of others. The pillars of the academic integrity are discussed below:
 Honesty- It is very important for the individual to be honest in his/ her
work. This is refereed to as the work which is done by an individual on
their own. It is very important for the student to follow the instructions of
the professor and completing the task with honesty.

 Trust- It is established in the system where all members perform their best and eases
the working relationships. The structures and policies should be treated fairly. It helps
in building the relationship with peers and with instructors which is mostly based on
the actions.
 Fairness- It is very important for the student to show the fairness in their
work in order to achieve the degree in the rigt manner. The fairness of the
individual depends on the use of ethical practices while completing their
assignments and projects.
 Respect- This is the core value which is required in the academic
integrity that the student should respect the basic values and the work
they are performing in the university.
 Responsibility- There are various responsibilities of the students and
staff members which need to be practiced in order to gain knowledge and
develop various skills. (Ayala-Enríquez,,and et.al., 2020).
A discussion of the importance of academic integrity in higher
education
In the higher education academic integrity is the most important aspect for the every
individual present in the University. It is important for the self development and create a
image. The important of the academic integrity is discussed below for the various aspects:
 Academic integrity is important for the students in order to develop various skills and
being trustful of the work which is been performed by an individual in their academic
learning. As a student is investing their time in achieving the degree which will
benefit in their career so it is important that they should know the importance of
academic integrity which can help in achieving the better academic results.
 The academic integrity is important for the University as it helps the organization to
create a brand image. The staff members and the faculty who are teaching has to
follow the certain rules. This is because the university creates the image from the
students and the staff members who are present in University.
 The academic integrity is important for generating new ideas for the students. As if
the student focus on the content and write on their own which will help them in

generating different ideas. This also helps in building knowledge. (Rettinger, and
Bertram Gallant, 2022).
Discuss the implications of academic misconduct
The academic misconduct is the way in which student try to cheat or copy
and this is defined as the unfair means in the purpose of academic advantage.
This is conducted by the person in dishonesty and against the norm of learning
institution. There are various forms of misconduct which are discussed below:
 Cheating- This is the type of unfair practice which is conducted by the
students in the examination hall in order to complete the exam or any
kind of assignment and projects. This is the unauthorized practice which
is conducted in the form of academic misconduct. (Kasler, Hen, and
Sharabi-Nov, 2019).
 Plagiarism- This is the another form of misconduct where the individual tries to copy
the content on any other person and it counts on plagiarisms. It is very important for
the student to acknowledge if he/ she is using the content from internet sources or any
book. This is the type pf misconduct which is been used by students in order to
complete the projects and assignments on time.
 Collusion- This is the type of plagiarism where the unauthorized and unattributed of
students in a piece of assessed work. It is an act of two or more students working
together on an individual assignment.
 Falsification or fabrication – This is the practice which is been adopted by the
students distorted data, evidence, citations, experimental results in any formal
academic exercise. In the refutation the false assertion are made about research
performed. It consider the change of content in an academic document or activity.

Reflect on the steps you have taken, and difficulties encountered in
producing the game for Assignment 2
There were various steps which I have taken in order to design the game.
It is very important to conduct the importance of academic integrity and make
students know that misconduct can lead to the various difficulties for an
individual. The games which was designed in such a manner that students are
able to understand that academic integrity plays a vital role in the development
of an individual. The game which I designed in order to give knowledge of the
use of information and how this can be used in order to reflect on the content.
(Basu, and Ramaprasad, 2022).
There were various difficulties which I faced while designing the game
 Collecting the information- I faced issues in collecting the various
information which is related to the game. It was difficult to manage the
various aspect which need to be conducted in order to conduct the game.
 Designing the game- as there are various colors and shapes and textures
in the computer so it was difficult to select the best and attractive style for
the students.
 Team development- As being in the team it was very difficult to
manage issues which can be developed in building relationship with
other team members.
 Making understand the importance of academic integrity- This was
the most difficult part for me in order to develop a right path which can
help the other students to know what is the importance of academic
integrity for the students in order top score good academic marks.
(Singhal, 2021).
Reflect on the skills you have learned this academic year and those
emphasized in producing your game
It is very important for an individual to develop skills in order to be an
effective and productive within the academics.. There are various skills
which I have learned while designing the game which are discussed below:

Research skill- This is the skills which is related to the development in finding the
various information in an effective way. While designing the game I was able to develop my
research skills as there was need to various information from the different resources. I have
developed the research skills while designing the game where I focus on the various
techniques of finding the right information related to the content and topic.
Creativity skill- This is the skills where an individual has a ability to think a task in a
creative way which can impact in the good impression in front of others. While designing the
game I was able to develop my creativity skills as there were task in which I have to designed
the game in a creative manner and was able to think ideas in a different way in order to make
attractive for the students. (Hiebert, Quinn, and Vogt, 2021).
Writing skill- This is the skills which is very important for the students in order to be
effective and productive to score the good marks within the academic year. As while
designing the game I was able to develop my writing skills because of learning the aspect of
academic integrity. This was the skill which is developed from time to time as there was a lot
of material that need to be written on own words which helped me in improving my writing
skills.
Technical skill- This is the skills which is related to the information technology and learning
te technical aspect. I was able to learn and develop over the technical skills because of
designing this game. I have to analyses the various system and the input which ia put on over
the game design in order to know the importance of academic integrity. The use of the
computer has developed in my technical skills. (Seeland, and Munn, 2021).
Conclusion
From the above report it is concluded that academic integrity is the most
important for every individual. This is essential for students to have a honest,
and fairness within their work. The academic integrity plays an important role
for the students, staff members of the university. The academic integrity is
related to the core values which are required in an individual while studying in
any university. The games has been designed in order to guide the other
students the importance of academic integrity and how the academic

misconduct can lead to the bad image of an individual. There are various
practices which is been conducted by the individual which leads to misconduct
such as plagiarism, collusion etc.
