Academic integrity entails acknowledging the authors and publications that have impacted
their thought and accepting accountability for the actions in a classroom setting. It's crucial to
finish their individual assignments by themselves or to recognise your groupmates when working
on group assignments. The dedication to and practise of moral and ethical conduct in a learning
environment is known as academic integrity. Giving credit to other individuals when exploiting
their ideas is very important at the university level. Integrity is a quality that is highly regarded,
especially among leaders (Fatemi and Saito, 2020). The more likely to be given serious
consideration for significant promotions and leadership positions when people live honourably.
Last but not least, it's crucial to uphold academic integrity since it can provide people piece of
mind knowing that that firmly believe in doing the right thing and continually work to act in
accordance with your convictions. The life can become much less stressful if people act with
integrity, which will improve overall happiness, health, and productivity.
A discussion of the importance of academic integrity in higher education
Academic integrity is crucial in higher education, in colleges, and in schools when
unethical behaviour jeopardises the learning and reputation of students. High standards for
academic honesty safeguard a school's or college's reputation, aid in performing positively by
upholding integrity, and promote society's well-being. Intellectual integrity violations undermine
the university's credibility and students' faith in higher education. Academic integrity is
necessary for university learning, teaching, and study, and it also enables faculty and staff to help
students and staff create original ideas, skills, and artistic works while understanding and

recognising other people's work, giving it proper credibility, and avoiding plagiarism (Sefcik,
Striepe and Yorke, 2019). The ongoing development of a network environment of university-
wide tasks and policies is necessary for academic legitimacy. The University must commit to a
programme of study that upholds integrity while acknowledging the necessity of helping students
establish and demonstrate their academic credentials.
Discuss the implications of academic misconduct
Academic misconduct broadly refers to any unfair behaviour in any assignments or tests for
grades. Academic misconduct is any effort made, attempt made, or assistance provided to other
students in obtaining or attempting to obtain academic benefits through dishonest means.
Plagiarism, cooperation, contract cheating, data tampering, and possessing illicit substances
during an evaluation are some examples of academic misconduct (Bretag, 2018). All university
students, both those who have graduated and those who are still enrolled, should be aware of
their responsibilities, respect the laws, and adjust their behaviour as necessary to avoid engaging
in any type of academic misconduct. Academic misconduct can result in a student being
suspended from the school or being expelled. Academic dishonesty can have an impact on both
the institutions and the lives of the students. Institutions make a great effort to reduce misconduct
by enforcing severe sanctions and training their employees to conduct themselves honourably.

A fun method to educate yourself on academic integrity is to play this game. A moral and
ethical rule that guides all academic work is known as academic integrity. This task, in which I
had to create the quiz game, was enjoyable and educational. There were various challenges I had
to overcome while creating this game. The collecting of information for this game's preparation
presented certain challenges. I had to spend a lot of time studying this subject, so that added to
the time commitment. In order to get precise answers to the inquiries, I must comprehend this
subject verbatim. The choice of questions was another issue. Given how broad the subject of
academic integrity is, several questions could be raised. Therefore, it was important to keep in
mind when choosing the questions that they should be of a reasonable difficulty level so that
students could discover the right response with little learning and a lot of thought since this topic

deals with both academic knowledge and personal moral values. The learning goal will be
replaced with just scoring if the players have greater trouble answering the questions, which is
not the ideal scenario. The choice of answers to the questions was another challenge. I have to
analyse all the various conclusions someone could draw in order to realise that morality matter
more than grades. For a better understanding of this subject, I therefore gathered all the options
that people use to uphold morals and academic integrity. Last but not least, I need to discover
materials to improve this game's presentation so that its images don't look monotonous or
overdone. I had to consider many designs before settling on the one that could be used for both
formal and informal occasions.
Reflect on the skills you have learned this academic year and those emphasized in producing
your game
I gained a lot of knowledge and applied it as I played this game. This game provided me with a
wealth of knowledge regarding academic honesty. This game has taught me the value of
academic integrity and how to use it in both my academic and personal life. This game
demonstrates my practical proficiency with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint, which I employed
in the creation of games. There were other features of the software that I was not aware of, so I
investigated it and discovered them; as a result, they are now part of my skill set. Also, I gained
knowledge and enhanced my technical writing procedure. I catch my errors and fix them, which
helps me get better at writing. I also pick up research skills. I learned how to discover accurate
and valuable information because there is a limitless amount of information available. I also
gained knowledge about informal creative work. I gained knowledge about effective data
organisation. As I work to finish the game, my design abilities also advance. This project helps
me develop my abilities and learn how to apply them in the real world, which also helps me feel
more confident.
CONCLUSION
A person should uphold a moral and ethical rule of conduct known as academic integrity
throughout the entire academic year. This relates to any unethical behaviour carried out for
academic gain. It can develop into a habit and have an impact on someone's social standing.
Additionally, this kind of behaviour makes people and institutions less trustworthy. Institutions
therefore work to reduce cases of academic misconduct, organise seminars, and promote the

value of academic integrity. According to the seriousness of the transgression, the institution has
established several consequences that can be employed as a form of punishment for the offender,
ranging from suspension to expulsion. A quiz game was utilised to educate students, in which
they were asked questions regarding academic honesty and given points for accurate responses.
Every effort is made to highlight the value of academic integrity and how it helps people in real
life in order to persuade students to abide by the law morally and racially.
