The Connection Between Academic and Professional Integrity
Academic writing is a format of formal, concise, prominent and focused writing
which aims in making the reader understand the purpose of the paper. On the other hand,
academic integrity shows the retention of the moral values while writing an academic
document. The academic integrity is maintained by acknowledging the works of contributors
over the said topic as references while writing the topic of interest (library.leeds.ac.uk, 2020).
Professionalism is the demand of professional working at the workplace where as
ethical working is the protection of moral values while working at the work place. However,
all the norms under professionalism is not bound by ethical guidelines and vice versa. The
relation between the two stands while protecting the moral value during the professional
working (Worthington., 2015).
Grammarly and safeassign are the pillars of academic writing, one make it authentic
and other proves the authenticity of the work respectively. Academic writing demand proper
composition of the sentences and also asks for proper grammer throughout the content and
hence grammarly helps in doing so. On the other hand, safeassign checks the content, that
either it is copied from any previous document or by the writer himself. In addition it also
proofreads that either the document is having any strategy or flow of work copied from any
previous paper and by doing so both the tools maintain the integrity of work flow. Lastly,
paraphrasing is the key which helps in maintaining the authenticity by removing plagiarism.
The chances of plagiarism occurs when a work is continued based on any previous work and
hence some part of the previous work is need to be described. Paraphrasing helps in reducing
the plagiarism by describing the content in the writer’s own words.

Strategies for Maintaining Integrity of Work
During the completion of MSN program maintaining integrity is necessary to show
the progess a nurse made following the work flow based on past contributions by other
nurses. Often it is found that a student may use innovative techniques to complete their
assessment by taking data from forbidden documents or by implementing ideas from others
work. Moreover, it is possible nurses may have shared verbally several experiences of
interpersonal relationship with patients and experiences of handling families of dead patients.
Including these works as a part of own experience in papers can hamper privacy of that
family and thus stands against the ethics of nursing practice (Hoskins, Grady, & Ulrich,
2018).
Throughout the work process as a health care professional a nurse can encounter
several shortcoming and may have kept those aside to serve for their profession to follow the
process of ethical working. When establishing their work as a study to publish so that the
knowledge can be beneficial for others there should be no manipulations. Moreover if the
care process is undertaken based on knowledge from any previous experiences the health care
professional publishing the document must acknowledge the credits to person (Berg, &
Ruppert., 2019).
Thus by following these mechanistic processes can help in maintaining integrity of
the work and can also make their professional tenure ethical.
