Introduction
The mixture of moral values, rules and regulations, principles and the responsibilities
makes the educational institutes and the universities. By applying such values in a proper true
manner in the academic works, being trustworthy, obedient, follow the rules made by the
authorities and put all the attention in learning and building a good atmosphere by being loyal to
everyone that known as academic integrity (MacLeod, 2020). On the other hand the duty and
responsibility of the university and educational institutes to give prize for the work which was
done in true and fair manner. These all rules should be applicable for both the students and
authorities so that a balanced and well good system can be made.
Section 1
(a)Brief description of academic integrity
Academic integrity teaches not to copy and cheat in the educational institutes and
the universities. Academic integrity is practiced almost all of educational institutes, it can be
seems in the assignment statements in the procedures, policies, and honor codes it is even being
taught in the classes of the ethics and even being seen in the syllabus (Tatum, 2017). There are
many educational institutes are even working on it to avoid it. Basically it is all depended on the
six values the fairness, honesty, trust, respect, courage and responsibility. Honor code can help to
improve the trust and honesty among the students and even give credits to the ones that had
actually wrote it. It even helps the teachers and students to create an honor pledge that gives
them the permission to have severe punishments to those who committed dishonesty towards the
academic. The honor pledge is created before the assigning the assignment and need to be read
over and then signed, so it can it can be give the confirmation that the students is agreeing to not
violate any of the rules of the institutions .Academic integrity is also basically all of what it
seriously felt to be involved with many students on the campus activities and giving there
contributing to the local community. To promote the academic integrity publication ethics and
responsibilities research in the system of the higher education in many countries as they should
be applied despite these advances academic dishonesty still plagues the university. The academic
integrity is the moral code by which the system of the education is administrated in this lesson
we will discuss the definition of the current policies and the overview of the academic integrity
in the modern academies (Ellis, 2020). Cheating and copying can be unfair to the one who had
worked hard on that. Students should practice the morals and the values taught in the institutions
in their entire life. Academic integrity gives the right to learn research and teach. It even provides
the opportunity to build some new ideas and does something innovative while respecting others
work. Students should keep their sources of the assignment with them and should learn from that
about the proper cite. Integrity is a high valued trait which builds up the future leaders and
provides them the path of the leadership. It is a commitment which an individual makes to self to
lead a good life of morals and duty. Teachers should give the assignment to the students related
to the current situation, event which is going on so that students take interest and even gain has
knowledge about the present situation. Teachers should even discuss about the assignment with
the students during the class so that students can also discuss the problems which they face
during completing there give assignment. And should take feedbacks from the students about the
topic, words etc so that the teachers can also get to know and even can make changes

accordingly or instruct the students and give them the way of completing their assignment on the
given time.
(b) Importance of academic integrity in higher education.
Academic integrity is all about being honest to your education institutions. Students should take
advantage of the system and learn as much new things they can (Cronan, 2017). Even the main
purpose of going there should be to gain the knowledge and get progress in the studies so that
future goals can be achieved. One should learn from the teachers with full interest so that the
other person also feels good and be great full to teach. Even work hard to understand the things
taught over there. The main thing must be there to not copy ideas of someone else everyone
should be trustworthy (Ahmed, 2020). The students should acquire as much knowledge they can,
by helping each other and sharing some information and knowledge with someone causes no
harm as knowledge should be spreader as much as they can. Cheating causes no harm only to the
institutions but it causes harm to students also, so it’s the duty even the responsibility of them,
they should not be unfair to the other students. The academic integrity helps to understand the
things and get knowledge to develop writing skills, learning skills and how to use the phrases
and where to use the phrases. It makes students courage’s enough to take stand for them self and
makes them to understand the right things. Even they learn what is good for them and what is
not.
(c) Implication of academic misconduct.
Academic misconduct is consists of so many points like cheating, fraud, collusion,
plagiarism, interference and the misrepresentation. Some of these points are explained below-
Plagiarism- these terms reflects towards the students who just copy the work or any assessment
without getting a proper knowledge about that topic and write it any way. In simple words
plagiarism is applying the words or ideas of someone else and pretending them like work is
completed by themselves only by without putting any efforts (Kwong, 2018). Sometimes just
rephrasing is also comes under academic misconduct as students just take some content from the
sites or other person and just write the things in their own words.
Self-plagiarism- In this point student who has submitted the assignment before sometime he
reuse it and just submit it back this is known as self-plagiarism. Submitting a piece of paper any
type of task or project that was already submitted. The action from the universities against this
type of activity is taken, and the penalty is charged.
Collusion- The word collusion is defined as the cheating or any type work done by two or more
than two students and submitting the result (Hussein, 2017). Sometimes this work can be done in
good form or the idea may steal. In this position students take the advantage and without asking
they can submit the work done by someone else.
Contract cheating- Now a day’s an illegal business is running in which some companies gives
the services to students by completing their work and take money from them (Goodsett, 2021). To
dissolve such kind of purchased work the universities are using some software’s and just
investigate it.

To avoid such kind of Academic misconduct the students should focus on studies
without wasting time on such kind of bad ideas and just pass their grades (Cooksey, 2019). These
things can destroy the future or take them on a path where they just get distracted from their
education. They may face so many kinds of penalties regarding such activities and once life took
a change or the students got the habit then they will not be able to change that habit.

issues in making an effective project or assignment of project as well. In this relation academic
misconduct is one of the biggest issues that I have faced as it is type of cheating that arise in
relation to formal academic exercise. Basically, it includes contract cheating, collision and
fabrication data or unauthorized material. Due to this issue, I have face issues in completing my
project and activities that given to attain opportunities in my career. Apart from these issues,
there are some others challenges that I have experienced in my learning activities related to
conflict of interest, fear, double standards, personal connections, formal processes and corruption
of power. For overcoming these issues, I have focus on my creating and developing new ideas so
that issues of misconduct can be easily eliminated and at the same time also improvise the end
results by attaining achievements in my career activities. In this, high standard of academic
integrity supports me in enhancing as well as improvising my confidence level while performing
