Academic plagiarism and integrity are the very important terms in every students life to
build up their profession life. In this article, the discussion is all about plagiarism and integrity
and the how they the academic integrity plays an important role in making the students life
secure and also building up their professional life easier for lifetime.
Academic Plagiarism
Plagiarism is a term which simple defines writing the other's work in own words in terms of any
field like literature, music etc., or in other words, it is just like crime (Babelli, Chandratilake and
Roff, 2015). There are many types of plagiarism but here the discussion is all about academic
plagiarism. So, the types of Academic Plagiarism are as follows -
Accidental Plagiarism
This type of Plagiarism is generally done by graduate students while doing and research
work related to projects and copying the research materially. This results in inappropriate
paraphrasing
that matches the already researched work. This creates the wrong impression and shows the
unprofessional behaviour of the students.
Incidental Plagiarism
This is generally common in authors writing any book and copy the matter from the other books
and change the ownership of the book and publish it (DeLoughery, 2018). This can be generally
seen in the Mathematics books in which the authors take the materials from the already running
and famous books and publish by their own name but this is the wrong practice and just

hire the employees by showing the trust and in expect the work that is to done with full integrity.
Professional behaviour is very important in academic, job and as well as in the business scenario.
In terms of business, the leadership quality is important which demands integrity and honesty
and the most important “utmost good faith”.

Good students are always honest towards themselves, their teachers who is giving the

because of their integrity and dedication towards their work (Sutherland-Smith, 2016). But the
academic dishonesty can be avoided by taking some important steps which are as follows -
