The academic and professional skills are referring as the competencies and abilities
which are used in the workplace for the job. The academic and professional skills are the
combination of the both skills such as hard skills and soft skills. The skills which are require in
the employability’s such as self awareness, critical thinking, communication, teamwork, etc. This
report will discuss the challenges which are facing in studying the business management and
applying in the professional practices as well as discuss about the importance of the professional
and academic skills developments. This report will also elaborate the effective team work skills.

Challenges of studying business management and thriving in professional practice
Students are facing the challenges in the business school to studying about the business
management and thriving in the professional practices. The some problems which are identify
that face by the students in studying the business management and become success in the
professional management.
 Connecting with the new people: The students face the challenges when are meet with
the new people in the business. They face difficulties and challenges to manage the
business management within the career and professional practices (Sotiriadou, 2020).
Students face the difficulties to apply the academic skills in the professional skills and
face issues to interact with the new people at the professional levels.
 Scheduling: Students scheduling the time at the school time and they are studying about
the business management in the academic skills but face difficulties in the business. The
students schedule the academic task to accomplish but they are face difficulties to success
in the professional practice and career. They face issues in the career to schedule the
tasks.
 Learning work in team: The students are learn work in the team at the academic skills
but it is difficulties for the people who are prefer to work alone and they face difficulties
in the professional practices. The dynamic team work affects the performance and
success in the project at the professional and career aspects.
 Multi- tasking: students face the issue to manage the multi-tasking at the professional
practices (Balakrishnan and Balakrishnan, 2020). The multi tasking skills are face by the

are most hectic for the students to manage the task in business management.

The academic skills help students to become the more effective learners. It helps in
develop the confidence and encourage as well as motivate them to become the successful in the
life and career life. Academic skills help in enhance the productivity and success of the students
at the schools. The academic skills are important because skills may need in the professional
career and workplace. The many skills of academic are transferable to the workplace. Example:
the students done work assignments in the tea and that process help and beneficial in their
careers (Batman and Saka, 2021). The developments of the academic skills helps in improve the
performance as well as prepare for the future career.
 Time management: Time management is important in the academic skills which help in
career. The time management is ability of the students to schedule and recognize the time
efficiently. It helps in understand and mange the schedule which helps in improves the
productivity.
 Research skills: In the assignments of academic students should require to conduct the
research on the assignments and easy which helps in develop the effective search
strategies of students and that helps in develop the students career effectively.
 Self discipline: self discipline is important for develop the academic skills and develop

with the help of collaboration skills (Yusuf and Ahmad, 2020). The collaboration skills
help in explore the new approaches and new learning and that will make the employees a
great manager, leader, and contributor.
 Leadership: The leadership skills are most important in the teamwork at the workplace.
Leadership skills help in manage and lead the group of people. Leadership help in
contribute to the organization success. Leadership helps in demonstrate the strong
teamwork by motivating, empowering and mentor or coach the team.
 Time management: the time management are important in the career and academic
skills. For example: managers in the team work have strong organizational skills which
help in managing the goals and objectives of the team and guide them. The manager is
also focus on the time management that the task should do at the right time and delegate
the task for achieve the goals at the time. The time management skills helps in achieve
the goals and target of the team and collaborative the work environment condition in the
future.
 Communication: the team should have the communication skills for the effective team
work. The communication skills helps in promotes the trust and create a positive team
environment as well as helps in develop motivation in the employees who are work in the
team by the speech and lecture which are necessary at the workplace to influence them
(Zhang, 2020). The communication skills in team work helps in solve the issues
effectively which are face by the group of people.

work in the team etc. Moreover, this report also includes some importance of effective
