INTRODUCTION
In present scenario, the problem within number of business entity is increasing as they are
not giving importance to ethics while performing any of the business activity. Business ethics
can be defined as the business activity which is needed to be performed by business organisation
at the time of implementing any of policies and practices (Arnold, 2019). Business ethics is
important because it certainly helps organisation in developing their goodwill which is necessary
in current scenario but number of organisation ignores this particular section. Some of the main
area where problem related to business ethics is mostly seen is in corporate governance, insider
trading, discrimination, fiduciary responsibility and many more.
In context of the file, the chosen organisation is Amazon while performs its business activity
throughout the world. The CEO of the company is Jeff Bezos who is known for his intelligence
action which are taken for attaining the goals . But, at the same time given case study on Amazon
and Ethics have clearly mentioned that organisation is failing in following proper rules and
regulation related to ethics. In recent period of time, it has been identified that company is
creating problem in tax avoidance and another unethical practice is seen in working area for
employee which is dangerous for conducting business activity and the pressure which is being
provided to employee to complete their work on given time period. Some of the similar
companies which is not working ethically are Coca Cola and Nestle. Both of this companies are
known as global brand but still they are not ethically correct. The main aim of this particular
report is to provide recommendation that how company like Amazon can present themselves
ethically correct within the market for attaining its goals.
ANALYSIS 1250 words
-A short introductory paragraph.
In any of the organisation, attaining the goals is the most important thing because it is the
only way through which company can give competition to their rivalry firm (Blay, 2018).
Although profit earning should be the main priority of the business but at the same time company
should be able to focus on ethical values while conducting business activity. In context of
Amazon, their services to customers are recognised as the best services but still they lack in
following the guidelines of ethical values where they must focus. Ethics should be given priority
because it helps to boost the morale of employees so that they can work more effectively within

the organisation. Below, prospective o different stakeholders have been mentioned for
understanding the concept of ethical values for business organisation.
1.The CEO’s perspective.
The CEO of the company always plays the most significant role within the organisation because
they are the one who takes business decision for attaining the goals of a company (Ciulla, 2020).
In context of Amazon, all of the business decisions are being taken by Jeff Bezos himself where
he focus on profit making is the key motive for company as compared to any of the other
aspects.
Tax avoidance:It is the main problem which is seen within the organisation of Amazon
where they avoid to pay tax according the amount of business they do in any of the
specific nation. This problem is quite big in nature because it shows that although
company earns huge profit but still that are building their enemies at a constant ratio
which is a poor side of them. But, according to the prospective of CEO of a company,
company is paying the amount of tax which they must pay after earning profit from their
business in any of the specific place.
Organisation culture/worker’s condition: The employees of Amazon have to work for
attaining the goals of a company (Sroka, 2018). The perspective of CEO shows that main
motive of company is just to earn profit without focusing to any of the other aspects.
Even employee should work within the organisation till the time they complete their
given target because it is the only way through which targets of a company can be
accomplished.
Health and Safety: It is the most important ethical value where any of the company must
focus at the time of conducting any of the business activity (Ciulla, 2020). According the
perspective of Amazon CEO, the place which they provide to their employees are fully
secured and they are being given full security at the time of working within the
organisation. It needs to be understand that CEO is even wants to consider the points
whether their employees are able to get suitable working environment or not but they
fully think that how they can work ethically for attaining the goals of a company.

2.The perspective of the employees.
The perspective of employees is completely against the CEO of company where they
simply explain that they are forced to work for additional time period within the company with
less wages amount. Even there is no overtime paid to them which is creating the issue for them
to work within the organisation like Amazon in current scenario (Ciulla, 2020). The pressure of
meeting out the target is the most difficult one for them because it certainly forces the employees
to work for additional time period within the company where profit is only of organisation as
they are not paid for additional work which they do within the organisation.
3.The perspective of the consumers
The ethically questionable are the marketing tactic and strategy of the business through
which the unsophisticated and misleading information and message get circulated and provide to
the consumers. The advertising claims that the customer get attracted or encouraged by the
different product and services of the company as from this they might purchase the harmful
product and get attached in the direction of those services that are not of the interest as well and
these kind of marketing is being considerate as the ethically questionable products.
The consumer and there buying behaviour are always get influenced by the ethical
purchasing and that must be the crime and it is the trends that lead to the consumers so as to
boycotting the Amazon. It is the basic treatment that get provide to the customer in which they
must get the adequate information about what they has been using and what are the different
ingredient and component that are added within it and if Amazon continues doing the ethically
questioning so as to sell their product and services thus they accused and have to be make in a
trail for this (Crane, 2019). The unethical products and those that have the direct and the negative
impact on the image and value of the company and the actual production also are in damage that
resists the potential customer to get used of those services. For example, consumer are those who
are the constant customers and the one that continuously used the goods and services of the
Amazon and they are more concerned about the international legislation and it is in terms of
protection and the conservation of the fur linked animals but Amazon continuously sell these
products as like the slew of live animals as the pack of colourful fish, freshwater shrimp and
tank-cleaning snails and the fur coats and other clothes as well as of in term of design. However,
the Amazon get argue with this and in support provide the evidence that the selling of fur coats

are legal in other countries as like Russia and that is in welfare and supportive of national
legislations.
The Amazon sell the real fur as faux as with the clothes, bags that in real are made up of
raccoon dog, rabbit fur and that was founded by the BBC Watchdog Live investigation but in
support Amazon state that they have no longer uses this and it is even not available as well.
Despite of this the supportive evidence get provided that Amazon goods and services contravene
the international legislation and the basic guidelines that get schedule by ethical products (Duska,
2018).
4. The politicians
The business ethics must get more relatable with the political concept as well and in this
the Amazon has provide the products and services to the customer that are more certain based on
ethically questionable and that is the prior impact on the working standard of the business. The
ethics must get affected due to the political impact of both internal as well as external aspect of
Amazon. The internal politics related to the different redundancy that get developed within the
business due to imbalance of the seniority as when they take the decision for their own gain as
well as advantage without considering the others prospect (Ferrell, 2019). In addition the
external politics is related to the rules and regulation that get developed by the government and
must have followed by the Amazon so as to maintain the ethnicity in the work flow. It imparts
more clarity within the working operation and function and by following considerable aspect.
CONCLUSION
It has been concluded from the above report is that business ethics are being more vital with
that the appropriate flow of clear and transparent communication get flows within the business. It
is needed that business and human resource must get effectively utilised by the sustain
availability and with this the productivity of the company get affected in positive manner.
Business ethics are more relative to the different policy and practices of the business that get
developed for the arguably subjects and helps to get over from various certain issues with more
viability. In this Amazon didn’t follow the ethics as in terms of tax depreciation, employment
norm and to manage the other concern about the dangerous working standard. These are the
basic possibility of the business and required to get followed that induce the direct benefits to the

business and with the perfect balance the suitable relation get maintained not only with the
employee but with the marketplace as well.
RECOMMANDATION
The above report is based on the business ethics as it is more necessary to maintain but that is not
managed appropriately by the Amazon and that has the adverse impact on the flow of work
(Moriarty, 2019). It is related to the set of rules or principles which is moral and has developed
by the business so as to operate the different operations and functions with more adequacies,
taking suitable decision making by which the employee get treated well, to maintain the effective
relationship in between the customers, stakeholders, clients etc. These are usually applied to
manage the conduction of business in systematic manner but that is not organised by Amazon
with effectiveness thus there are some of the recommendation that are as explained below as:
The employees are the backbone of the entire organisation and for this the company has
always try to satisfy the basic need of employee by whom they easily get connect within
the business with more sufficiency. In this Amazon must have provided the priority to the
employee and have provided the adequate wages to them as per the position, experience,
job role and profit. In addition provide the appraisal, recognition and other benefits as per
their performance as it is the basic aspect of motivation and by this they get retain for the
longer period of time and with this the company is able to accomplish their objectives in
timely manner.
The working environment provides the intangible benefits to the employee and imparts
the feeling of belongingness and connectivity with the business. Thus in this Amazon
must have shown their concern about the surround that is not dangerous by which the
working conditions and criteria of the employee become more suitable (Singer, 2018). In
this Amazon must get more focused about to provide a surround that is not only hygiene
but also be more supportive as well and for this maintain the first aid kit and basic
services that is used for protection of employee.
